Yeah i was just figuring out which car is faster,or at least norrowing down the options, in that class-and for that the best track for me is silverstone-national the small one that derives just at maggotts-because i can pretty much do even laps ,one after the other, and figure out which car is really faster and not the one i did better in a specific lap...those muscle cars with enourmous bhp seem to have the lead...:drool:

just consider that donington has quite short straights and adverse camber on a few turns.
i am also in the same situation with to many 10.0 cars in my garage

Yeah a proper tune will make all the difference in this race...:eek:
 
well had a go with my settings and there better.
As far as i figure the settings in shift are modeled on a real car.
for example people may think the shorter lock the BETTER as in response terms well that is not so, in a real car if you have the lock too short the cars front wheels will turn too sharply and cause the car to under steer.
Well its seems to be the same deal in shift except the car only under steers a little bit but in turn the responsiveness of the steering drops off.

so now i am running 360 lock instaed of 300 and under.

also changed the

B.D.Z from 1% to 2%
S.S from 85% to 80%
A.S from 100% to 70%
B.S from 90% to 65%
C.S from 100% to 70%
T.L from under 300 to 360

all this ems to have done the trick but i have only tested on spa with the carrera so is any one available for practice tonight was online earlier but no one was on shift
 
I still don't get how the fastest lap is viewed. Pressing r1 shows the split times for the entire race. Could someone please help.

just press it and leave it mate the time will change from split times to full time to lap times
 
Are there still places available in the league. Im a clean driver arvmore and shamalert can verfiy this for me.

I did try setting up a league over Christmas with limited success, only wish I fould out about this one sooner.

i'm still a noob my self. only been here 2 weeks but the guys on here have made me feel that welcome it feels like i'v been here for years

and as for smamalert i raced him and arvore last night. he was killing my lap times so watch out for this manc

Since where talking about wheels etc, anyone who uses a G25 with clutch, do you have to actually use the clutch to change gear? If I don't press the clutch to change gear it still goes into gear, but if I press the clutch and accelerate the car just revs so its not faulty.

Not to worried just always wondered was everyone else's the same?

yes its the same m8 i use the clutch also, but if you watch you will see the revs hit the rev limiter on the shift with out the clutch and will lose you revs in the next gear.

Did you know you can stall the car with the clutch its annoying sometimes when u crash.

Cool thought I might have had it setup wrong :)

Yea its annoying when you stall, have to wait for the car to start up again before you can move off :lol: A few times actually the car hasn't started up again for me and I've had to abort the race/ timetrial :(

That has happened to me a few times, you can blow your engine too but takes a while i did like 4 laps of spa in 2nd gear and it just stopped and wouldnt start again and the temp gauge was in the red

Tip: join some of the pratice sessions during the week to familarise with the guys,and of course cars/tracks in bumper to bumper(without bumping:lol: )racing:tup:

New video to come tomorrow hopefully, its a highlight of all the best bits of action from season 1 and the beginning of season 2, i have spent hours editing this video so i hope you all bloody watch it :lol::lol:

I noticed an interesting post-race screen that can be looked at after all races in Shift.

Maybe everyone knows about it already, but I've always ignored the whole "Profile Points" thing in Shift so I barely realized it was there. I doubt it will help us much with enforcing the racing rules around here, but it may be worth glancing at, since advancing your race position by contact will show up under Dirty Overtake.

It may also be a way for a driver to show that he had no idea that contact was made with another driver, as it likely won't show up as a Dirty Overtake on this screen after the race.

By the way: No League members were harmed or offended in any way to obtain this picture. (I roughed up some AI drivers for this picture.)

Yo HOG! That was outstanding! I love that beginning sequence with the starting lights, and the music fit it perfectly. That was great. 👍 Thanks for putting this together. I officially dub you... League Videographer with a full salary and benefits! So now you can quit drinking that cheap ale and buy the good stuff! :lol::lol: (I kid)

My only disappointment with it, was that you captured the dumbest, most ridiculous pass attempt I made on you at Ebisu West in the Cosworth. Where I cut inside of you in that hairpin... and then proceeded to turn right... into... the wall! :lol::embarrassed:

League videographer i like the sound of that for that i think i may treat my self with my new pay packet by drinking twice as much BROWN ALE as i usually do :lol::lol:

and yea sorry about that i did edit it out organaly so it was just a clip of you getting round me but when i made all that small clips into one movie it showed the full clip :grumpy:

i am still getting to grips with the timing and i think i could have done the begging a bit better but i have the footage from next season to do next so COME ON GUYS i need to see some **** hot action from you guys around my car in the re races, i mean it i wanna see you guys inches away from each other, trick over takes LOCK STOCK THE F###### LOT obviously this does not apply to people that are doing the re race becase they missed Saturdays race as you wont wanna be taking any risks that could get you last place.
