I see now.. there was a dual headlight variant...

What the hell was that mess? To vague for a football audience.

The same audience who more then likely doesn't know what Le Mans is in the first place? The ad wasn't all about the GT-R P1, the car was just part of the commercial.

Is Nissan in the entire WEC season this season or just Le Mans?

entire season. 2 cars for the season and I think 3 for Le Mans
I now am suddenly very looking forward to WEC this year. Now if only Peugeot hadn't went through the pipes. Let's hope Nissan has something good.

The greenhouse is ridiculously narrow. Really puts it into perspective with Jann sitting in the car with the door open.

It's definitely going to be something that sticks out in P1, which might have been a part of the aim. Nissan seen very confident though to have 2 full time cars and a LM entry. That's toe to toe with Audi on a participation level.

I found a little bit of information about the powertrain

"Power comes from a 600-hp twin-turbo V6 mounted in front of the driver. The car itself is front-wheel drive. The gearbox resides in the nose and it not only distributes engine power to the wheels, but also drives a pair of flywheels that live under the driver's legs. Those flywheels power the rear axle with up to 1000 hp (!) for three-second bursts. Furthermore, the front tires are about twice as wide as the rear, the reverse of almost every race car."

Very very interesting... I really wonder what made Nissan make a front engined LMP car in the first place.

That's a good question, what did make them consider a FF Le Mans prototype in the first place? Ben Bowlby? Some corporate decision? General insanity?

Holy heck, that's a lot of power for short bursts...
