If theres something that worries me its the behind the scenes write up that says the car broke down two times while filming.

Guess they haven't sorted all the issues with the car, it seems. Well, it isn't a common setup, that's for sure...

So definitely not ironic then.

Unless GT5 is dramatically different from how GT6 did things in that regard (and offline it wasn't), it really doesn't.

I haven't played in a while, but I remember quite a few career and seasonal events in GT6 penalizing players for cutting corners and ramming AI.

One thing I'm curious about is how they managed to package the drivetrain, gearbox, flywheels and the engine (with the twin turbos) all in the front.

Speaking of ugly.

As do I. However, I'm afraid that it will suffer the same fate as the Deltawing: New technology that rarely makes it to the finish line because of mechanical issues.

Like every other car that has bought new technology for the first time?

Maybe, but Delta Wing was a last minute project that Nissan just tacked their name on it with probably much tinier budget.....

This is a factory LMP program that Nissan came out and claimed they want to win in 2 years. You'd hope they can back it up...

The Delta Wing probably could have made it if the TS030 didn't basically drive into it.

With the original Deltawing, it was too small and no one could see it. The current one can be seen more easily with the closed cockpit.

Lets see...

FF layout
Gearbox is in the nose
Flywheels that power the rear wheels with 1,000 HP bursts lasting 3 seconds
Front wheels wider than the rear wheel

How will this turn out?

That moment, when you're interested in every LMP car in this thread, present & past, except the GT-R one...

Gimme dat Nissan DP or the Momo Porsche, would rather those over the GT-R for GT(R)6/7/5.5 ;)
