The headlights are similar too.

I don't see how really.

The headlights of the LM look like a hawk or another bird.

You can't just slap a GT-R badge onto everything...

Darren Cox addressed this in an article on this car

"Then you get innovative people sitting at a table together, and you go, hang on a minute, [put] the best [ideas] on a blank sheet of paper—that's genuinely what happened. We looked at a blank sheet of paper and the best solution is the engine you see downstairs, a V6 twin turbo, four-wheel-drive, with the engine in the front. It must be a GT-R then. That's just a marketing job made easy. We've got one of them, we'll just call it that. If it was a diesel engine in the back we couldn't have called it a GT-R, could we? That's why we ended up where we are."

This car is absolutely insane. Nissan engineers are such rebels if they got away with making a FWD LMP racer. I'm actually very curious on how this car feels or what advantages it could have against all the MR LMP's. Provided that some day it will be in GT7.

So many haters! Embrace the change!!!

Personally I love it, yeah sure looks a little ugly at first but after seeing it drive and in Nissan's colours after awhile, official photos give it way better justice. I actually really like it, going away from the "norm" in all aspects, very innovative and clearly Nissan aren't scared to give it a crack. Who knows how well or badly they go, why speculate? Let's just wait and see shall we. In the meantime I'm fully embracing that finally Nissan have stepped up to take on LMP1 after so so long, now I truly have a team that I can follow through the WEC season and not jump on Porsche's and Audi's bandwagon like everybody else.

This looks magnificent. Not the prettiest LMP1 as many have said but who cares when it is so radical in it's approach. 600hp FWD with hybrid power of up to 1000hp to the rear? 1600hp at times?! Good God. I wonder if Toyota are actually going ahead with moving to an 8MJ supercapacitor? Perhaps this will force their hand.

I hope Nissan do well but I'm still 100% behind Toyota Racing. WEC 2015 could be an awesome season of racing.

............Don't like the looks. Don't like the fact that it's a front-driver. To me, those front fenders could potentially cause massive blind spots, what with 'em being so high and driving position so low. Not to mention torque steer. 600 horses to the front wheels, which needs to steer the car, accelerate the car, and do the bulk of braking. Man this could be a disaster in the making.
Hope I'm wrong, but can't shake off the feeling that Nissan went for something different just because....

Do you really think Nissan would make 600hp to the front wheels without being confident about it? Come on... Give them some credit hey.
