There really shouldn't be any doubt to whether Kaz and/or PDI visit this site now.

Jordan
Regarding tracks, you may have heard there is a track in Iowa, Greenwood Roadway, which is very similar to Deep Forest. What are your thoughts on that?

Kaz
KY: “Ahhhh! Yes, it’s really by accident. I was really surprised when I saw your article.

There you go people of GTPlanet. There should be little or no doubt to as whether PDI listens to what is said in the forum.

Here is to insult free constructive criticism.

What's this I hear you say. "There should be little or no doubt to as whether PDI listens to what is said in the forum." Funny then how people have been asking for Porsche models for some years now with nothing to show for the trouble, Oh and before anyone tries to be clever and mention licencing issues let me point out. (Dauer 962 Le Mans).

Well If they watch the forums they would see the issues which have been adressed now for years. Did they change them? No...

So they might watch but if they really care? Thats the other question. I guess Kaz just hops in with his iPad after lunchbreak or something. :D

Just because they're listening doesn't mean they have to do what everyone wants them to. For every great idea in this forum, there's a bad one. We'd all love Porsche, but your beef is with EA, not PD.

Just because Kaz said he read that one GTP news article does not make it indisputable evidence that PD looks at this forum. If someone asked Kaz directly whether PD looks at GTP, then that would be something worth discussing.

Listening =/= fulfilling every wish.

True, however he did mention the article on his own. But I bet someone else told him about the article.

Haven't we had mild confirmation that PD have visited GTPlanet before now?

It vaguely rings a bell.

This^^

I'm fairly certain it's been confirmed before. I'm sure someone can did through the archives.

I myself am far busy too walking into spider webs

People have been asking for pretty much everything under the sun. Combine all the wishlists and it would be bigger than the rest of the entire internet put together*.

*Well, Almost™.

You could look at it this way, the overall tone of negative posts hasn't really changed in 3 years but PD are still coming to the site so it would seem they have a thick enough skin to wade through the insults to find the constructive comments.

If they were so hurt by certain comments as you claim they would have stopped reading years ago.

It's worth pointing out that if PD tried to implement every idea put forward here, we would still be waiting for GT5 to be released! ;)

True, but what opinion are they most likely to listen to? The one that starts with "you idiots" or the one that starts with "dear PD"?

When it comes to Porsche, Kazunori actually owns a Porsche GT3, so I'm pretty sure he knows about the brand, regardless if he follows gtplanet or not.

What's in your garage?
"It didn't change much for the last five years. I have a Nissan GT-R, Porsche GT3, Honda S2000 [racing car], SL55 AMG, two Ford GTs, a white one and a silver one."

And, on a direct question:
https://www.gtplanet.net/more-gran-turismo-5-dlc-confirmed-by-kazunori-yamauchi/
AK_KOV: Will we someday see the Porsche license in GT?
Yamauchi-san: Well, we can’t say no; it’s something that many users ask me.

Finally:

GTP: In closing, is there anything you would like to say to the GTPlanet community?

KY: The feedback we receive from our users – the positive and the constructive feedback – really provides energy for our company and really motivates us to do more. I think if we can keep up that relationship with the community, that would be great! Lastly, thank you all for your support!

Absolutely, I was just adressing the point Max likes to make that PD wouldn't read this forum because they would feel hurt by all the rude comments, as if PD staff wouldn't be strong enough to ignore or shrug them off.

GTPlanet articles are separate to the forum, and what you posted did not suggest that PD staff read the forum.

What does it suggest then? That they visit GTPlanet? And what is it reasonable to think that they do while they visit GTPlanet? Do they only stop by the front page, read the news and then leave? 90% of the news comes directly from Polyphony Digital, so it seems highly unlikely that they only come here to read their own news.

They might visit the forums, and they might not. Let's not pretend that speculation is fact.

I'm not going around saying there's no doubt that they read the forums, that's clearly a ridiculous conclusion to draw from that article. I am sure many businesses check news articles to see how their work is represented in the media. Some businesses would dig deeper than others to gauge public opinion of their products and business practices. Kaz or members of PD might just read articles on the front page alone while ignoring the comments, or they might be amongst forum members. The point is, we don't know.

I think I read something before implying that PD do indeed visit GTPlanet,as well they should be.The harshest critics and the biggest fans are here if there is one place they could come and get feedback it's this one.

you can tell that GT5's biggest complains were (need better physics, more tracks, more premiums, better AI,livery editor, better damage, better sounds and better online)

They are fixing or trying atleast to fix all of them ,aside from damage which they said is out of their hands, need to deliver them in the final product though and people here would be very very happy.

Given that everything can be read publicly I doubt anyone from PD has an account.

Not sure, how else would you explain the fanboy phenomenon, the strong defending of Standard cars or the out of the blue Forza remarks in every single thread?
Divide and conquer like a true Mach....Kaziavelli. ;)

I've always wondered when Kaz says something that "fans" have been asking for or like, where he's getting that information. Are there some other GT forums that PD views?

People have been asking for pretty much everything under the sun. Combine all the wishlists and it would be bigger than the rest of the entire internet put together*.

bigger than the rest of the entire internet put together minus porn. There, fixed it for you

Indeed. When you think about it (in the not-so-obvious light), any fanboy, or in fact anybody here could work for PD - it could be You, Me, or any other person registered here. Fact of the matter is, is that we simply don't know, unless a user actually openly admitted working for PD, that is.

Personally, I am fairly sure PD look at the forums, not just the articles, but I would highly doubt that the sometimes abusive criticism seen here would get to anybody working there, unless of course, the fanboy argument..

I take it you haven't read anyone reacting strongly to someone else's post, especially when they disagree with the original poster, even to calling them or their posts stupid? ;)

I have a feeling that if the shoe was on the other foot, and some of you had produced something you wanted to be proud of, and you read some of the napalm typical of this place, you might decide to have someone filter out the felgercarb. I think I'll quote my hero Griffith500.

Everyone comes here for themselves - bottom line. If they really wanted to help PD, they wouldn't be derogatory or demotivational in any way, as that's counter productive.

Yes I am defending PD, because they're human beings. If people stopped thinking about themselves and instead considered the bigger picture, they'd not feel the need to demonise PD simply to vent their own frustration.

Yes, sound is important, but someone thinking the world wants to see their power trip is pathetic.
