Can we get griefed ?

I don't believe so (Since from what I have heard that whoever puts the part down they own that part even if it's in a building. )
But I don't exactly know how it will all be.

It was supposed to be released when "Store" updated.
Store Updated 8 minutes ago and no update.

Edit: Store updated with NMS with Next (On sale for PS+ members for 26.99$)

Edit 2: Update has hit. 9.72GB (Or maybe it was 9.27GB)

Just started a new game. The difference in graphics is very much notable. Now to relearn the crafting schemes, etc.

I have this on Steam/PC but haven't really played since release, I want to give this another run now and quite looking forward to it after all the updates... How easy is it to start a new game ?
Last time I looked it was a bit of a pain to start fresh, having to find this folder, delete this, disable that etc etc :banghead:

Please say they have made it nice and easy to start over :)

Wanted this game a long time ago but I only have an xbox, so I bought Elite Dangerous instead, put hundreds of hours into it, and enjoyed it very much, no regrets there. My interest is still there, been somewhat keeping up on the updates coming and now it's finally releasing on Xbox next month. I may have to get this one after all. Problem is I have too many new games right now, I'm trying to find the time to play them all is, but its nice outside...

Classic No Man's Sky:

:D :D :D

Will buy the game tomorrow. In my PS Store I see it at 40€ so the discount might be only in some regions.

Had it on PS4 at launch, I'll be honest I was disappointed with the lie we were sold at the time.
However two years on it appears to be the game it should have been all along.

Gone for it on the Xbox One X this time, it's downloading as we speak

Its been a lesson in pure frustration trying to start from a previous save game. trying to to find di-hydrogren to repair some terminal then the constant attacks from pirates. I had a mod to remove the 🤬 pirates but that doesn't work at the moment. then the PC performance hasn't been good so far on first boot it used 11GB of ram and about 4GB Vram. all the mechanics seem to have changed but I don't fancy starting over based on what people have said about starting.

edit: had to re enable mods since the update turned it off

From what I've heard, every time there's an update it's better to delete all the mods and their respective files because they can cause some issues until the mods get updated by their creators (when needed).

I'm not 100% sure of this, it's only what I've heard from some streamers who play on the PC.

On top of that, mods may have altered your save game in a way that it no longer works at all. Depending on what mods you used of course.

It was just a mod to disable pirate attacks doesn't seem to work now but it hasn't broken anything I don't think.
I managed to get myself a free freighter also. I don't like dealing with the the attacks but destroying about 6 ships made the freighter pilot give me his ship.

Flying around planetside feels so, soooo much better and responsive now. Especially maneuvering at low speeds, that loose wobbly feeling that caused constant over-correction is gone. A slight downside to flying around in third person is that point of interest HUD markers aren't visible, even you tagged one while on the ground, but visually spotting buildings and landmarks in third person mode is really quite easy so it's not really much of a hindrance.

Having this playing in the background while you're blasting around a planet's surface is quite fitting too.

This update needs a patch already - for me its stuttering in space, theres sound glitches and the game crashed completely on me after about an hour. Anyone else noticed this?

On a positive note, its much more detailed and the 3rd person view works well.

I will also add that a patch should be in the works. Throughout a couple hours of surprisingly fun multiplayer, my game crashed around 7 times, had tons of sound glitches (the kind that repeats a fraction of audio over like the game has crashed), and momentary freezes. I'm on a base PS4 which is what I thought was the cause, but a friend of mine has the same hardware and claimed only 1 crash within a 5 hour session playing with 2 other people (I was just playing with one other person). I've already found an item dupe exploit too. I don't think I'll be detailing it, however, nor will I utilize it.

Overall, I really like this update, but the crashing and freezes are making me second guess booting it up.

I started up a new game last night. They definitely seem to put you on a harder starting planet than what I remember from the first time I played. Saw a lot of complaints about the harder starting planet too, but if you follow the 'tutorial' without delays then it seems they dont let you fail/die.

I did notice a lot of frame rate stutters too, my rig isn't top end but it is (well, should be) good enough to run this without issues. So a little surprised by the poor performance, from memory it ran a lot smoother on release ??
