I've already started saving up to purchase a ps4 and Project Cars when it releases in November 2014. I've played GT since its inception and the latest instalment is by far the worst of the lot. If, and when GT7 releases on the ps4, I for sure will not be pre ordering it.

1.) if they don't have internet how do they get the actualizations and new seasonals? lol! My bad - didn't think that one through... 👍

2.) this one i agree with you

3.) then you have either the career races or the single player mode... I'm just trying to protect my beloved time trials... Hahaha  I enjoy them too, but don't know why they had to go & change the old format of a TT one week & a seasonal the next. PD wisdom, I guess...

I just had an epiphany! The reason we do not get seasonal races, is the format PD used for them: 4 races, of wich one is a "homegrown" track.
We simply won't get races until we get the track editor!

Complete BS... we have to many tracks now for that to even be a relative reason why we aren't getting racing seasonals... so I call BS on this one!

I agree with @bandit0627 that is just BS, everyone knows why we are not getting GT5 style seasonal events, it starts with $ and ends with $.

A lot of people are beating up on PD for releasing an incomplete game. Yes, the game is incomplete but if they wanted to release a game without any errors and glitches, we would probably have been waiting another year for the testing stages to be completed and all the errors ironed out. Also, would PD give us free cars if they released a complete edition straight away? probably not is the answer. I remember GT4 on the PS2 was epic because it was complete but we never got any free stuff or updates as far as I'm aware. The whole gaming environment has changed significantly and PD are trying to create a game which can stand the test of time (GT5 for example). Everyone still raves about it even though its about 5 or 6 years old?

Personally, I don't agree with micro transactions and I won't ever part with a penny to buy cars which come standard in the game. I may purchase DLC if I feel the cost is worth the car but other than that, I'm sticking with my £40 investment and enjoying the racing using the amazing cars which PD has been able to recreate. Maybe we should look past the minor/insignificant issues about GT6 and start appreciating the excellent work which a lot of hard working people have put in.

Well i would be happy if seasonal races would have career-like payouts (nothing crazy like gt5) if micro transactions are the problems :)

Positivity? In a GT6 thread? That's not allowed...

It would be a crappy world indeed if there was no positivity. Im a glass half full sort of guy. Always looking for things to make a situation better.

Erm yeah, that's because GT4 wasn't an online game so updates would have proved to be some what tricky.

That didn't stop PD before GT2 anyone?
I see where PD is coming from get the game before the console is dead and all the work they did goes up in smoke. But seriously they need to get work on the seaonals and get the tuning glitchs fixed than GT6 will be worth some more time IMO.

I actually dont mind about the Seasonals and TTs - BUT:
We are having series in our own country, and Everybody has issues with online.

1. Everyone are having trouble of seeing someone in the lobby(some see 5 on track some see 10 on track etc).
2. Going to pit - game doesnt give to choose fuel+tyres, sometimes does, mostly game chooses for you.
3. The first set of tyres are the fastest, after pit, the tyres are slower 2+sec/per lap(not normal). At the end, tank almost empty and new tyres, should be the fastest laps - Wrong! they are slower, because of the new set of tyres.
4. When pitted and youre on low fuel with fresh tyres, lap time should improve - theyre NOT, theyre slower(not normal).
5. When someone goes to pit - the game/display stoppes for about 0.3sec.(for Everyone)

These are the few main complaints we all are having on GT6 Online Play. GT5 - everything were fixed and totally ok.

You took me on the words :-/
It was just meant as an alternative explanation (I honestly thought ppl would see how stupid it sounded) to PD's reluctance to give us proper seasonal races.
In short, I agree with you.

Ok as long as you understand that!

I personally hate these Time Trials. It is not that I am that bad of a driver, I do have a DFGT. I just find no fun running 20-100 laps just for gold so I guess that makes me not a serious driver. I damaged a nerve in my right arm and have not yet gotten full use of it yet but it is getting better everyday. The reason I don't like the TTs is because I can test drive every track which I do to learn a given track. So why would I want to have to buy a car that costs more than what the Gold Prize is for the TT? A Brainfart:lol: is what!

I have 2 accounts I play on. My main I was able to do the money glitch and have more than enough credits, but the question remains why have to buy a car, spend the credits on upgrades and end up in the hole because the payout is less that what you spend on any given car? The money glitch was patched before I could get my 2nd account done. So from January-March after running all the races I just barely have over 7 million credits minus the credits spent on cars and upgrades. What is the point?

I understood that GT5 and GT6 were on 2 different servers. We already have all the tracks so why not races with good payouts and a prize car or some Metallic, Chrome or Pearl paint? I have seen the paints being offered if you gold the TT. The majority of the paints offered so far I wouldn't have. So now we are into the first week of May and no news from PD except the new TTs. I have the Anniversary Paganini so I'll run that one but I am not buying another car I would never use for a mindless TT.

I will not be upgrading to a PS4 and if indeed there is a GT7 then GT6 will be the last of the Gran Turismo series that I will play. Seems saddening after plat GT for almost 15 years. It started with a friend letting me borrow his PS1 and GT1 and it literally saved my life. It pulled me back from the brink of despair. I stood in front of my 27" TV with the sound running to my headphones and played for 12 hours a day. I have had issues with PD since GT3, I have had the most fun with GT5 because of the :gtplanet: community and the great friends I made through trading though many of them are not here any longer because there is no GT6 community, no cars or paints to trade. I am hoping that PD will see the error in their ways but time has proven that PD could care less about the millions of people who have bought their product and made Gran Turismo the legacy we have made it. BTW I went back to 2.11 on GT5 so I could build real hybrids so I'll really be glad when the server goes off line as for now I just unplug the network cable when playing GT5.

I hate to ask a question that's probably already been addressed, but this topic has posted on so many times that I figured a kind hearted, well informed friend would answer. Do we know if we're going to get true seasonal races after May 30? That's when GT5 goes offline, so I'm kind of assuming we'll start getting races instead of just TTs. If not I'm gonna check out Forza. I hate the idea of buying a new game system and a new wheel, but I can't stand only racing against a clock in time trials anymore. Very nice people have invited me to leagues, but I stink without SRF and would probably make a league worse (yes, I use it but agree that people who truly want to be great racers and be measured against other great racers should not use it). Again, sorry if this a repeat question and thanks for the feedback!

I remember back in the days of gt4 I used to run against my own ghost in licenses and trying to make a new record on nordschleife whit different cars. I mean after I completed most of the career mode and even some of those insane endurance races. So for me the TT's are basically the best thing ever happened!! I mean I used to do this "pointless" hot lapping just to see if I was up to it, now I even get to compare my self to others, finding out that my routine of finding limits of the track and the car has made me a pretty decent driver

So my point of view is that there is absolutely no better way to improve your driving than doing as much hot lapping as you can!! And believe me, there's no better feeling than suddenly realising you have improved your lap whit second or so from your previous best even though you though you just made the lap of your life on previous record.

A great tip is to check out those top 10 playbacks, I usually do the best I can, check out what the 1st is doing different and try to copy that or think how he does that, there's usually a lot to find there.

Oh jeah, beating your time over and over again is gonna make you more confident. You just have to start from the bottom and it's probably gonna feel devastating to see you are nowhere near the top no matter what you do but you gonna get better 👍

this guy beating hes head on the wall is quite relevant to my post:banghead: have done it A LOT and still doing it

For example there was this straight out awful Toyota FT-1 TT on fuji. At least I thought so after first ten laps, I was like really pissed off that they trow me this really tricky car which felt like it had no traction what so ever and also spinning out of control every time I get the nose pointing towards the apex. So after just that ten or so laps I gave up and moved on to another TT's. But after I had beaten all my friends on another TT's I decided to go pack to Fuji and put some work to it. For first at least an hour or so I had trouble even making a clean lap and strarted to be really pissed (and it was like over 9000 :D) watching over and over again those alien guys make it look so easy...

But I just decided that i'm not gonna give up and after I was finally making clean laps after 2 hours or so I suddenly realised that I was actually making better and better laps all the time, just like that, just by not giving up I learnt to handle that difficult compo and I was really surprised and happy. For reward I know that track like back of my hands and learnt to like it even though I never did before (probably because it's so damn hard track :D)

Also the Rocket TT was a nightmare, but after I saw how those top guys apply some throttle as they start to brake I was able to learn that really good technique and suddenly learnt to drive some other difficult cars too not to forget all the fun I got from pushing that little beast to near its limits 👍

EDIT: And just remeber to take a ten minute brakes every now and then when you are pushing your limits on those TT's I mean wash some dishes or just do something else to ease your mind (10 min. is enough for me) and try again, also remember to EAT you ain't never gonna make it if your blood sugar is bad :mischievous:

That's why I want endurance races and tons of them. I enjoy "hot-lapping" the crap out of all the courses but find I only get to do an endurance race on a select few...? I do not approve. I want to see an event and a championship creator.

I'm gonna second you all; we need online races! First batch of seasonals post-GT5 switch off, I expected races.
Mind, they were always a set a month so maybe they come along in a week or 2.
Here's hoping!!

Were PD not able to create A-Spec seasonals whilst GT5 was still supported?!

I think and many are of the same belief that the servers used for GT5 are the ones now used for GT6 races.

It seemed they have separate servers set up for races and TT & DT's. Now all we have to do is hope they don't pinch one for GT7 whenever it appears.

Just out; GT5 has Seasonal Races; currently as of this post it's a Super GT 600pp race. But GT6 Seasonal Events has always been (and to some, annoying impossible) Time Attacks. Yeah events are nice and grateful but I seriously prefer there be an event like what GT5 is having now; races against the AI with bigger rewards we can farm for every time we win so as to upgrade and buy our cars in the game.

Time Attack? No thanks for me. Yeah I know they are for the serious player but spare a thought for the casual, those without space and budget for a steering wheel and those who can't handle without aids!
Finally here.

Why do they need servers ? Seasonal races just need to set a few variables and parameters, everything is already programmed on the game. A short few kb script pushed over is all that's neeeded.

I claim full credit for the new races due to my post on the Kaz Q&A :sly:

 just kidding of course. I always had a suspicion they might turn up after GT5 went offline...

Anyway, I'm glad to see them back though it's a little annoying that they are only around for such a short period, whereas with GT5 most stayed online for longer. But hopefully that means we will have 3 new ones coming in the next cycle... 👍
