Exactly. Let's face it, for every one person who wants a "hybrid engine swap" that's "comparable to a real world example" of a kluged car... and that's all they're interested in as far as car hacking, and that's all they have...
For every one of those people how many people are doing it & using them for the grip multiplier or ridiculous HP or just some sort of fantastical unrealistic car?
And of course calling them one thing or another doesn't make them not a hack, and doesn't make it any more allowable by PD after all.
Clearly the red bull is not a realistic vehicle at all. But it is a legitimate car in the game.
Mind you, in my personal opinion, all of that is irrelevant anyway.
I mean if someone wanted to make a hacked car that could take off & fly at will... as opposed to a replica of a real world vehicle with an engine swap... I just don't see that it makes it any better or worse in any way at all.
It's green beans or broccoli. Maybe you don't like broccoli, but maybe someone else does & doesn't want your stupid green beans.
It's a video game, and obviously people play for different reasons with different interests.
My only issue with hacking is the whole cheating/griefing angle, frankly. And that issue is also the reason that hacking usually gets the kibosh on it.
