This sounds very serious.

Vie only ever seen one hacked car since they came to light. The guy was in our NASCAR endurance race and proceeds to lap us. We were freaking out trying to figure how the dude was doing thus with no draft. Ah, so naive.

I believe that people in PD need to decipher their message with some mystic tea leaves before assumptions run rampant I personally don't get why they wrote it past-tense.

I wondered about the past tense. But my husband pointed out to me that things get translated strangely from Japanese sometimes. My husband has an RC helicopter that's from Japan & the box says "Hold Your Heart"

Well you've missed out on a lot of laughs But no, haven't seen any posts that were "I got banned for hacking."
Just one guy saying he got banned, but he wasn't hacking. One could assume it was for something else, or a case of mistaken identity.

Anyway, that could be true. It may come that there's an update and then the hammer falls. It's a legitimate possible interpretation of the announcement.

And, I just can't imagine calling them "hybrids" anyway... because of the whole Prius thing. I mean really, car enthusiasts mixing terms? No. Gamers say hybrid, not car enthusiasts.

Some of them might be but if all someone does is increase the grip multiplier and add Super Soft tyres that ain't a hybrid. Even then no matter what you call the cars themselves there is absolutely no denying they are created by illicit hacking.

Exactly. Let's face it, for every one person who wants a "hybrid engine swap" that's "comparable to a real world example" of a kluged car... and that's all they're interested in as far as car hacking, and that's all they have...

It's a video game, and obviously people play for different reasons with different interests.

Yes i have the same opinion like you. I hope i understand everythink right :/

But i think if you hack a car with 10000 hp it should get banned. But a car with hacked 500 hp is realistic. When you look in D1GP for example you can see many cars with 500 or more hp.

I seriously think this was, for the most part, a bluff on PD's behalf. Ban a few here and there to hold some truth to the bluff and hope it scares everyone away from hybriding... Needless to say, Im still taking it easy about where I pull my hybrids out, but I really dont think there's much to worry about until banning reports start flowing like water...

You do realise there are alot also only doing it in private lobbies and offline so they dont affect others.
