Other solution then would be to just run GT300 instead but I have done no research into that at all.

Are there 8 similar cars or would we need to run with teams of 4 in the same car?

Edit: just noticed the message notice to, ye reckon it's today instead of tomorrow for everyone?

I'm pretty sure Sic told me he was updated already..

I will ask all the guys if they can switch next week to a different day, was too short notice (my fault) this week to get everyone to free another evening up.

Cheers for the heads up Jonzster ;)

How about Saturday? I got football on thurs, fam and club on Friday and a 51 mile cycle on sunday

Saturday should be good for me aswell but just incase R35 could you race on Mondays or Tuesdays?

Just noticed the 51 mile cycle, where you off to?

Sunday is meant to be a day of F1 and rest

Wow this thread has come alive the past 24 hours!

STEG-13, jonzster: About time penalties, yes I also agree, point deductions would probably be better (it was just suggestions though :)

About SuperGT, rolling starts would be cool, but I have a feeling it will be messy to get everyone to start simultaneously....

And most days are okay for me as long as it's the usual time (21:00GMT/22:00CET) but preferably not Sundays though, I agree with you Steg, they are F1 and rest days :) (And on a sidenote, I'm really looking forward to Monza this weekend, imagine what topspeeds they are gonna reach with KERS and DRS... :D

Alright, i shall enlighten you all with knowledge, mark it down in your calender.
The GT300 class is about the only class that would provide close racing.
I have hosted that clas quite often and there ARE enough.

RE Amemiya = standard and premium.
Cusco subaru = standard and premium.
Autobacs gariaya = standard and premium.
C-west nissan Silvia = standard.
wedsport celica = standard.
Lexus IS350 = Premium.
Autobacs MR-S = standard.

Those are the official GT300 class cars.
Running them at 335HP and 1000kgs of weight to fit all of them is also an idea.
I also allow a few odd and end cars to run there as they fit as well.

Spoon S2000
S2000 LM race car
BMW 320i race car
Lexus GT-1 touring car
mazda 6 touring car
Toyota Altezza touring car (although it is severely underpowered, not tested its setup enough)
Honda Integra Touring car (although it has massive FWD torque)

Almost all of those fit as well with only minor tuning/adjustment needed.
Now no more diss'ing a class just because it's not "fast" enough heh heh.
I have only done average testing/running with the LMP's but i know they need alot of work to balance out properly, but would still be fun.

Another thought is using the smaller tracks and the small race cars.
Lupo race car
MM-R race car
Spoon fit race car
the three honda race cars
the new beetle race car.

and it goes on and on, i'll stop now.

Prefer the race happen on a weekday, but I can probably do Saturday, not Sunday.. F1 amongst other things :).

Barn One.. oh master  great info thanks. The Autobacs gariaya is one my most favourite cars in the whole game, think I did the Nurb A-spec endurance race in that car - twice!

This is a good way to balance the cars.

All GTR's 502bhp 1130kg
All NSX's 502bhp 1100kg
All SC430's 522 bhp 1100kg- I am not sure about the lexus because I broke into the 1:53's around Suzuka with The Petronas Toms SC430 and The Yellowhat GTR with 493bhp and 1100kg each...The NSX was about 7-9 tenths slower...Having said that, a driver in my series posted a time of 1:54:106 in an Arta NSX so it all depends on driver prefference...

The way to enforce the different specs in the lounge is by setting the regs as 502bhp and 1130kg and letting the GTR drivers enter track first. Next you'll set the reg as 502bhp and 1100kg and let the NSX drivers through to the track. Finally you'll set the reg as 522bhp and 1100kg and let the SC430's through....This only works if the drivers do not exit the track after they've enterred...

I also recomend not running with the clarion advan and the epson nsx...

Hi a friend of Barn_One's and was wondering if there's room for the last couple of NSX races. I'm not here for points obviously, just for some clean fun! Let me know please....

Oh! also PSN ID - MBTHEONE

Ok, i'm about to harm kk.
I WILL be using the Advan Clarion GTR if we end up doing GT500.
Just because you can't drive it, doesn't mean i can't either heh heh.
I even use no ABS on all my GT300 and GT500 cars now.
Without ABS, the clarion GTR does great, it's like night and day.

A few thoughts on the penalties, i like the no qualifing.
Another idea would be rage quitting results in points lost and a mark (of 3 total) for removal from the series.
Points removed also in place of bad/reckless driving that harms other drivers races.

Any new drivers signing up should have to show up for a lengthy practice race to see how they can handle themselves with others before a series gets underway.

I still like the 450/475/500 class of cars as it would add a whole new aspect.
If you look on here there are a bunch of GT500, but how many smaller class racing series have you seen?

lol...I recomend not using the Advan Clarion because it is considered the worst GTR by a long way...The Epson NSX has 30kg more than the other NSX's and the weight cant be reduced...

That's no problem mate, I have you on Psn now and will pm you details of the next race.

Barn - I like alot of those ideas and will for sure give a points penalty for rage quitters.

I also like the three strike idea for quitters and racers that cause serious incidents and will most likely run with that.

We will certainly have a few pre-season races to make sure all new drivers are up to scratch and are going to showing up on time.

If it was up to you what pp would you want to run for season two and I will suggest that to all drives as an alternative to GT500.

Most people I have asked that are racing with us suggested GT500 but I do also like the lower powered cars and think we could have a great series with them.

If you wanted to use the GTR for the next season Barn that shouldn't be a problem bud 👍

Kk - As I said I have not fully tested all the cars but will not use the Epson Nsx due to the extra weight.

Why is that GTR worse than the rest ?
Is it just personal preference or is it really much worse than the rest?

Well it's 1700 hours and still online, I think update was last night

Just jumped on there to check and you are right, pretty frustrating that they changed from their schedule 👎

I thought I gave short notice when delaying it

I think some guys may of made other plans for tonight already so we can't race if we are even one person down from usual attendees.
I will ask though, and get back to you.

Ha ha
To be honest, the "official" reason is because during that time the Clarion was running an inferior tire in the real life series.
My reason, PD are just stoopid.

But it does handle worse than the others. It is way to slippery compared to the other GTR's and thats about the only problem it has, which i've reduced quite a bit.

The Epson CAN be tuned enough to be a mid pack competitor but would take a way better driver than me to make it work well.

As for sugested PP, it depends on what in general you want to run.
450 PP is very good for alot of the smaller cars.
500 PP fits a broad range of the mid sized/range cars.
475 just catches the few that get stuck inbetween.
I've run 450PP and 500PP and have no trouble with either sugestion.

I have no problem with just about anything being run honestly.
I mean heck, i ran fiat 500's at night, in the rain on the 24hour ring.
Now there would be a good series, just imagine the exitment as we all barrel down the ring at night, in the rain, in the heaviest, fattest cars we could find, with an extra 200kg's of weight and %50 percent engine reduction, stock with sports softs as the only upgrade allowed.
heh heh

 I remember a night/rain Ring race I did with you in Go Karts

Monaco Will be next Wednesday

The GT website has changed it's dates and now apparently we can get online all day next Wednesday.

It's too short notice for some guys to call the race back on, hope you all don't mind the weeks delay.

Thanks for the update Steg 👍

Yeah ring at night is awesome, did a shuffle race there a while ago, it was loads of fun :)

Sorry Jonzster a couple of guys have not been back online since I told them it was off.

I don't know why GT keeps changing the maintenance dates, really messes things up 👎

I would do the same for you R35 if you had made other plans :)

It's not just Haig, there are 5 guys offline who think the race is off.

It's unfair to call a race back on 2 hours before Qualifying starts.

I am also in a JGTC GT500/300 mixclass league... the standard JGTC cars of both classes dominate the premium... especially the standard NSX's... If we do this, my recommendation would be to do all premium or all standard (I would prefer premium).

Also, we run a weight to power ratio... all cars must be between 496-520 bhp and 1120-1200kg, but MUST have a weight/power ratio of 2.22(for gt500, the I forget the specs of GT300, but the ratio is 3.45). I realize this takes some trust, but if you can't trust your rival drivers... who CAN you trust? Just some ideas... oh, and BTW, the mixed calss races are great... we run full damage with caution laps.

http://www.supatunagt.com/smf/index.php?topic=208.0 thats the link to the league I'm in

Cheers for the tips Carts, good to see you on here bud.

I will take a very close look at the series you are in and learn all I can from it :)

I prefer premiums simply because they look much better in the race replays so if it was a choice between premium or standard it's a no brainer for me :)

I would prefer premium. I nearly always choose a premium as like to use cockpit view, on occasion I will use the bumper cam but only if the cockpit view feels a bit off.

Jonzster, I never even thought about the cockpit view because I don't use it.

I guess it's awful driving standards for you guys then

Interested to know how many others use that view ?

If it's premium, I use cockpit, and race with HUD off as much as I can. I am pretty comfortable in bumper cam for standards though... Thanks to Gt1-Gt4
