i dont think whether ive played it or not has to do with other peoples suggestions. The thread title also has "THINGS WANTED IN GT5" . Even if they havent palyed it they can still say things they want.
Wouldn't it be better to play GT4 for ourselves first? That way we know what's in there and we can then go about thinking up things that aren't already in GT4.

I don't have the game for now, but i saw the car list and I hope that in GT5 there will be this cars:

what do u think the chances of them not making gt5 are? maybe 1 in 1,000,000. They will start producing it soon so we will have to say what we want to soon

I bet they have already started! :)

The thing I really miss in GT4 is fully detailed car interiors. I know it'll be twice as much work to create one single car with a cockpit instead of one car without, but it adds so much to the driving sensation. GT4 has hundreds of awesome cars but you can only drive them from behind, bumper or hood cam. How lame is that :yuck: You don't have the feeling you're actually in the car.
I'd prefer GT5 with only 100 cars with cockpit instead of 500 cars without.
Just my 2 eurocents.

Just a thought... how about Gran Turismo Online (GTO). It would be more MMORPG based, would have a skill tree that you could spend your A-spec points on, and non-linear tuning. Parts could be bought or won in races against other people, but you would have to have the appropriate skills to equip. This would make for a richer, longer lasting online environment. You would start out racing street cars, and then choose a kind of racing to specialize in (JGTC, DTM, ALMS, F1, etc.)

Window Tint
WINDOW TINT!?
Yes, be sure to put that on the top of the list...

HID Lights
HID's are already in the game. Lets start with some kind of functional lighting effect period.

1twojay
Muffler size
w/ optional LED tips, right?
the race spec exhaust isn't even supposed to have a muffler. Are you implying that exhaust modifications should be reflected on the model of the car? That is a valid point.

I can already hear people crying over a faulty physics engine when the lap times start climbing after their 19" wheels are equipped.

-Only real tracks (more than 50)
-Better Crappy car/ cool car ratio
-More makes
-less japanese crap Boxes from the sixties
-Better AI
-At least a ten car field on track
-NOS only in Drag

That's all I can think for Now

See ya :sly:

I'd like to see the car choices revamped.

For example, there are like 7 Miatae in the game, yet in real life, there are really only two, but with different option packages. The Sunburst Yellow limited edition car is no different than any other Miata of the same year, except the color. Ditto with the M Editions, except they add some more luxury features. I see no R package or sport package cars, either, but again, they are merely an option for the car, not a special edition.

So what should happen is you go to the new car shop and choose a Miata. Now you choose your generation (89-93, 94-97, and 99 and up) then you choose your option package, which determines which engine you get (in the US, there is no option, different years had different engines) whether or not you get a limited slip stock, and whether or not you get the sport suspension and brakes.

Skylines are another example. How many R34s does there really need to be? One for the street, really. GTR, GTS, V Spec, VSpec II, its all just different options for the same car.

Eliminate the redundancy so that more unique cars can be included.

That's a great idea! This also removes similarities between several vehicles of the same model.

"NOOO!! I need to be lvl.32 to equip the swift tires of rage!" :) It's an interesting idea, but I don't think parts being relative to "levels" would work. The closest thing to your idea would be to bring back Motor City Online and slap in GT guts. 👍

A clutch, a DFP with a clutch pedal and an H gate shifter, Realistic colision physics. forced induction for american cars, more realistic tuning, better AI, the weight distibution of the car in the stats.

A few more nitpicks. If your going to have one car from a manufacturer atleast make it one of the faster ones. Think 328ci instead of M3. this is one travesty GT4 has already comited. A Ram 1500 laramie quad cab Hemi? No Ram SRT-10!!! why have regular road tiers, and then simulation tiers? It's a simulation game, in simulation mode. Make the stock tiers simulation tiers.

And last, but not least, If no other model from the big three makes it in, GT5 must have the absolute greatest car ever. The Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0

A naturaly asperated DOHC 6.0 liter V12 straped to the midsection of a low slung italian bullet. Dilivering 550 horsepower through a six speed gearbox and all wheel drive. And I better be able to turbocharge it.

1200 hp + AWD =

maybe a pro d1 gran prix drift mode with all the cars and the tracks they use in the u.s speedways and japan. On maybe some downhill drifting would be nice. :)

To save you some time, this is a useless rant. Yes, it's more useless than this whole thread itself. So feel free to skip it if you plan on flaming or whatever in reply.

The only thing this thread (and all 32408 threads that are just like it) is good for is to give ideas for rumors about GT5 and to get hopes up too high. For all we know, GT5 could be a game with 5 cars (and damage).

And what's with these car wish lists? Why not just say, "oh, I wish EVERY car in the WHOLE world was in". That'd pretty much sum up all the car lists. How about including every STREET and road in the whole world? That way we'd have every track, be able to race on the Autobahn, and even be able to drive through YOUR town.

Yes, I have my wants, and I'm sure PD wants to satisfy everyone in the whole wide world's wants. But it ain't gonna happen brother, and you ALL should know it.

People seem to have forgotten the words "If you want it done right, you have to do it yourself."

What I want is something like PS3 connecting to the Internet, gets your local weather forecast and put that weather in game when you play.

And use PS3's internal clock to determine and set day/night when you play..

Hahahahah how ludicrous!

I know it's not a console game, but didn't Flight Simulator 2004 do exactly that? Based on the area you were flying in, it would read the weather and time, and let you fly in that environment?

yes, I have it and the first thing I did was set up a flight out of the local airfield. it was even raining. both in game and outside my window.

Some cars are more desired than others. If discussions start to point out that there are particular features that the typical GT player is after, then that information is useful for next versions.

Okay, so, it's unlikely PD will read it, but hey we are all car enthusiasts, and it's fun to talk about this stuff. :)

Until it leads to flame wars because "It's not NOS, that's a brand. It's called NAWWWWWWWZZZ" or "Drifting is way overrated, jumping a bus over 100 cars is more of a motorsport than that."
