LESS PUSHED BACK RELEASE DATES DANGIT
no pre 1900 cars [unless they r worth millions.]

My 1st post, so i might as well make it a good one. For GT5, i would like it to have:

- in car view so you can see the hood of your car. which should give a more realistic approach

- actual damages on car. e.g if you crash head on in a wall at 100mph, the car gets totaled, you could even say career over.

- body parts, accessories to buy and replace for all damages you make in the race, if any.

- add a petrol feature, you have to fill your car up before a race if needed.

- as someone mentioned before to add a clutch feature in the steering wheel. even a handbrake for those drifting fans. Also to reduce......no, REMOVE that annoying noise when steering.

- make a rumbling mat for the seat, so you when you sit on it, you should feel the bumps of the road underneath you. :ill:

- working reverse lights. :dunce:

- official online mode to race against others from across the world :dopey:

- the game to be released at the same time all over the world. (realisticly i dont think that will even happen)

- improve the computers AI so they dont constantly hit you if your taking a clean legal racing line. (blind bats). :dunce:

- add more real life tracks.

- c'mon where are the ferrari's and lambo's? I wish they gave the dam permission to allow their cars in the game, them stuck up companies. :ouch:

- the ability to fall off the crand canyon...man that would be so awsome! :scared:

- Release a Gran Turismo Arcade. a real one with all the gadgets and gismo's installed e.g. like sega rally 2's arcade with moving seats. droooooooollllsssssssss...........

that's all i can think of at the moment....I hope you guys agree with this list!

I want an in-car view too, but I would prefer to see the dash and steering wheel as well as the hood to make it even MORE realistic.

Actual gauges, instead of a universal gauge for the speedometer and tachometer would add to the realism in the game.

- Reverse lights
- Head and tail lights switch on/off at any time
- Skidmarks
- Weather changing during races
- Day changes in to night
- More tracks --> Spa Francorchamps, Hockenheim ring, Monza, ...
- Also put the pikes peak track back in and some missing GT2 cars (Subaru models, Renault Espace F1, etc.)

This I think is even more easy to do and more important then the visual damage on the cars everybody wants. But I want that visual damage and dashboard cam as well :)

Bodykits
Window Tint
Improved sound (Clutch, gearbox, the whining sound when u downshift)
HID Lights
Muffler Size
Rim Size

No way, Rims maybe but go buy NFSU2 , dont want any of that on a GT game. There's already a GT5 Car wishlist.

All of that will fill the screen, remember, your screen is indeed flat and that will take away from the course, and make the game feel rediculously fake.

And the speedo might be "universal" but the Tach is not, they usually reflect the numbers on the original car.

My only real wish has to do with online play and better AI. Everything else is pretty much useless IMO.

- a button to turn OFF crowd cheering :yuck:

- realistic crash physics, as in GPL

- FF and Rewind replay laps as in GT2

- select your AI opponents from your garage

- LAN races with garage cars

- save your LAN replays

One thing i believe will need a complete revamp with the PS3 is the sounds. For me, sounds are about 50% of the experience of a movie or game, and in GT4 so far, the sounds are a good mark better then GT3, but they are still generic sounds, except for a few cars which have "meat".

But with the sound system of the PS3, the capability of Blu-Ray Disc, i am hoping to have very good sounds for the cars. Especially the more exotic cars like Ferrari, porche or the merc SLR and Ford GT, which all have that 'difference' in the sound they make.

personnaly, they could almost re-release GT4 with incredible sounds and i would be quite happy.

Also, i like the idea from GT4 about 'all tracks from previous GT games will appear in GT4'. They should make this a rule for all the next installement in the series, and add cars and options.

cheers,

Damage system but doesn't have to be visual.

Race car modifications.

more car setup: tire pressure, caster, individual corner adjustment(left side is not necessary same as right side like setup in a oval), balast weight balance.

Rim sizes & tire sizes: example form 13" to 19"(early 90's to late 90's BTCC)
width from 165 to 355

Real first person view

real weather effects: like in Nurb and LeMans 24hr

Reward weight: like in real life race: example 1St 40kg, 2nd 30kg 3rd 20kg 4th 15kg 5th 10kg 6th 5kg.

More real circuits & city circuit (Historic & Famous cities)

Finally, really I mean REALLY test it and ship with out any bugs please.
Since We waited long enough GT4. ..... GT4. ..... GT4. ..... STILL waiting.

you act like GT4 is a very buggy game? Have you yet played it? I have, and it's not bad. BUGS are defects in programming...the other little crap matters not.

no I haven't played it but people talked about it like how you thought of when i read others post. my NTSC/J got lost in the mail process and return to sender.

Turbo lag
A boost gauge that follows boost, not throttle position

Cart tracks – Portland, Montreal, Monterrey, Mexico City, Elkhart Lake

AMLS tracks – Mid Ohio, Lime Rock, Infineon

More "NORMAL" cars.....
Porsche and Lambo.....
More british cars......and AT LEAST a british track!

............and for god sakes.......REVERSE LIGHTS!!!!!!

I agree about the rally thing... I,d remove it completly. make a Gran tourismo Rally game perharps, but do not mix both together, 'cause their version of rally ain't that fun. To me it feels like fillup stuff. They should spend their energy on the rest of the tarmak racing world instead.

Ive thought about a separate game for rally too, but also include Baja 500/1000 and Dakar courses and vehicles.

Yes what you maybe say is right. Make a GT rallysport. They can stuff it full with the rallycars from now and the past, iceracing cars and baja and rally raid cars/trucks.

Then I hope finally the Bowler Wildcat is in.

For trucks --> The Kamaz!

And to answer robin2223:

You're right I want that too. So please insert reverse lights PD. Or a function to switch the lights on and off at any time. And add skidmarks!!!!

Reading in through all the posts, i can't understand why so many people want to see bodykits and muffler changes in Gran Turismo 5.

Need for Speed Underground already tried this, and that was a crock of ****.

All the cars in GT1, 2, 3 and 4 are fantastic as a normal factory edition, so why chav them up with cheap parts?

You wouldn't need to mod up an Aston Martin Vanquish with Neon Lights and exhausts the size of Dustbins, because the car is already great how it is.

Plus, modded up cars look cheap. Only chavs mod up cars to try and hide the rust underneath and they try to make them have a little bit of dignity to hide the fact that they have a little willy 💡

All I want to see in GT5 is a warranty to give to your girlfriend / wife / partner that tells them to 'go screw themselves'.

All I want is a letter to tell your partner to 'piss off while this god plays the jesus of games'.

No doubt, GT4 and GT5 will cause divorces and domestic violence, as a computer game begins to take over your life.

But if you women folk (or if you are a woman, then you men folk) don't like the fact that we are playing games rather than beating up old grannies then you can divorce us, or walk infront of a train.

I don't care, I'M A GOD!!!!!!!! (of games)

PS - Even though my wife gives me good sex, i still don't care

When people say they want bodykits in GT4, they arn't talking about neons and that crap from NFS:U, theyre talking about the bodykits used on real race cars, GT1 and GT had them only the kits were pre-selected, I'd rather be able to turn my car into a proper race car with fully adjustable downforce if and when I want to rather than not be able to at all.

Maybe, I kind of lost concentration reading his/her post but i noticed the comment near the end "I don't care, I'M A GOD!!!!!!!! (of games)" and I'd like to see hime prove that over X-link.

You got a point there live4speed :)

but if she looks like the girl on your avatar she can always come to my place to play... GT4 offcourse or what did ya think

Trust me, last time i looked (about two seconds ago in the bog) i ain't no girl

And so what, maybe i ain't the god of games, but it is a great excuse to tell the wife :sly:

I've also just had a great idea for GT5

I know everyone wants Ferraris and proper Porsches and stuff, but I'd be satisfied with the Koenigsegg CCR.

I have had a ride in a real one of these 806bhp cars, it was amazing. Trust me, in GT5 it would also be amazing. Also, the Invicta S1 would be a great car in GT5 (if you want my pictures i took of this car e-mail me at: ash6660@hotmail.com)

Also, I have one question.

On a GT4 Official website from Sony Playstation (search for 'Gran Turismo 4 Official Website' on Google, you'll find a US site) it says that the Nurburgring has 76 corners. I thought the track had 140 something. Is this the full track, or just a publishing error?

Reply would be appreciated

At least you have a sence of humour unlike many members here ;), that info about the ring is either an error or it means 76 left corners or 76 right corners, but the Nurburgring has a lot less than 76 corners the Nordschleife has a lot more.

  • To me increased car fields is should be number one priority for GT5
racing with only 5 others is lame and very unrealistic. Twelve cars
should be a must, with a field of 20 as a target to achieve.
  • Online Racing. By the time GT5 is out I believe that online racing for
GT4 will have had moderate sucess. GT5 should have a massive online
racing mode. Racing clubs, photo swaps, photo judging, vehicle trading,
possibly online used car area ( sell your car to online used car dealer ).
Buy users tricked out rides from the online used car dealer ship.
Dozens of online racing leagues will be part of GT5 online experience.
A very comprehensive track lap times data base, which record top lap
    times automatically.
  • If GT4 A.I. is only about 5% of what could be done, then GT5 A.I. might
    approach 10%.
  • With much of granturismo being focused so heavily on graphics, weather
elements will be increased for GT5. Perhaps actuall rain, snow, or road
grime that would effect visabilty and require need for wipers.
  • Damage modeling will take up 75 percent of development time and limit number of vehicles to a few hundred and delay GT5 being released.
They should forget about damage modeling, it will be next to impossible
to make it look realistic for each differnt vehicle. Instead they should continue to work on the physics, things like car contact, etc. Actuall damage appearance might not be seen, but changes to engine performance and car drivabilty would be felt. I would like to see some tire damage modeling tho, blow outs, flat tires, along with differnt tread patterns on differnt tires.
  • If the Grantursiomo Series makers our striving to just make their games the best driving games ( And Not Racing Game ). Then why not just design some open road envrionments, say 50 miles or so, that go through differnt terrain etc. That way maybe all the photo locations could be linked together.
  • License test once a unique element of the GT series has perhaps run it course and should be phased out. Better Race event set-ups could replace license test, and would probably do a better job at allowing the user to learn the game.
  • Paint Shop, and more parts, wheel, tuning options.

I have to dissagree with a lot of that, number one priority should be competitive and learning AI.

Number two should be increased grids for races, say 10, 12 or more cars per race.

Number three should be a much more advanced level of customisation, you shoul be able to turn all cars into proper race cars, racing decals aero parts and so on.

Number four should be a full and highly advanced damage system, if they can come up with a decent damage engine that uses set claculations for different materials and such and apply that to every car it shouldn't limit the car selection, it's a lot faster than modelling damage for each individual car, but it may take a lot of work to get it right.

Number five shoud be online, this has to be flawless and lag free and offer all the options included in the single player game and mor in the form of online trading and teams ect.

Number six the license tests should reamain but maybe they do need a makeover and change in how they work. Maybe one thing they could do is to have different licenses to go alongside the normal b, a, Ib, Ia and S like sports and touring licenses and liceses for different driving and racing techniques so for some events you not only need the IA license but the IA and an advanced technique license or something like that. Also the structure of the licenses could do with changing rather than get from here to here in this time.

Number seven would be different weather and times of day for each and every track.

Like your list, this is simply my own opinion.
