Uh-uh, I think it's clear now. Never really though about getting a wheel for the PS3, dunno if it's worth it now but I do understand that it seems to give a more "proper" feel than a pad.

Also @Johnnypenso, what is that reason? You know, the TT drivers "reason"?
Because, on average, you can be much more precise with a wheel. As I said there are still some fast players with DS3, but the top of the leaderboards are flooded with wheel users because, again on average, you can be more precise/accurate/consistent with a wheel. The numbers don't lie. More feedback through a wheel also means more information as to what the car is doing and will on average, make you a faster pilot.

Ah, that so? So the wheel lets you get a better feel of the car, how it goes and handles. It allows the player to be more aware of the track and its changes. It's a whole new world, having a wheel...

It's a whole new world, having a wheel...

It transforms the experience and is worth every penny in my opinion. Putting the frustrations of adapting to a wheel after 15 years on a controller aside, I thoroughly recommend it. Whilst I don't feel as let down by GT6 as some do, if I'm honest, I probably would not be playing it anywhere near as much if I was still on a 6 axis pad. (I never even got a dual shock )

So how do you play games without a Dual Shock? With a Move controller?

Joke aside, I really need to consider that option, judging from your words. Perhaps a Xmas present or something... 💡

It's the transition from DS3 to wheel that is difficult for some which is why when I bought GT5 I let it sit for a week before I touched it because I only wanted to play with a wheel (DFGT)and hadn't picked it up at with the game. The DS3 teaches you some bad habits like having big, spectacular slides and catching them by flicking the contoller. Looks great on a replay, impresses the heck out of your friends and family, but it's not "fast", its correcting a mistake. The wheel teaches you to not make the mistake to begin with because those mistakes are usually harder to correct and you have a much better feel for what's happening with the FFB.

It says only one VGT will be released this month. So will it be the Chapparal or the Infiniti? I think it'll be the Infiniti considering its reached in the seasonal picture. But the Chapparal was announced first.

Maybe the Infiniti wasn't supposed to be shown or told about and was a surprise. I would be surprised if the Chapparal wasn't released.

Its a Deer that only appears when it rains, duh :sly:
I assume they're also referring to Rudolph when they talk about the "big red nose", except Rudolph had a very shiny nose not a big red nose, clowns have big red noses.:odd:

I love it when they release these kind of infos, and know how people hate SRf but they justify it that is hard. I can forgive them as they announce these kind of things, it's super! Keep up with these infos PD!

I suspect someone might be getting that holiday Merlot in a little early.

PD needs to lay off the Christmas juice, they are already writing in Engrish again.

And about this VGT dates thing, I'd say the Chaparral is coming out first. After all, PD did say it was going to be released in the "holiday season". But if they want to give us two VGT's for Christmas, I sure as heck won't complain.

Also, I sort of giggled at this:

Isn't a "rain deer" a deer that only lives on wet environments?

I feel like they're telling us half of the story here, since when they announce new seasonal events in advance?

must be a stinky animal for all that humidity:yuck:

Well, it is a early Christmas gift if anything, maybe that explains the early announcement. Also, if people didn't notice, the car that was choosed ingame in that picture is the Keihin Honda HSV, a car affected by sound bugs. Did PD take notice of the sound issues with that particular variation of the HSV?

Yeah, it's the tropical deer, that only lives on rainforests...

Wait a darn minute. People are actually confused about which Vision GT will appear first?

Look at the dates, people. Dead giveaway that the Chapperal 2X will be the first one we get.

@Niku Driver HC look at the car they selected, the Keihin again.
BTW as much as i love hopping aboard hype train, i think this is some sorta of move to distract us from B spec or course maker; they both lack of informations lately.
ps: i'd also love to see more customization parts honestly, for a certain R8 maybe :(

That's what I was mentioning, hopefully this could mean that PD has taken notice of the Keihin's sound issues and fixed them.
I would like to hear more about those elusive features as well, but that boat already has many people wanting the same. Some honesty about this would be appreciated; PD should just go out on a limb and tell us if we're getting B-spec and the Course Maker for this game or not. Better than leaving your fans on your "doubting and guesing" area, I think.

P.S.: Yes, that R8 issue is bad, that's another mystery that needs solving...

The Chaparral's picture is on the top of the article. So obviously it will be in the update. The Infinity would be their 'surprise'.

WTHaye ... So is the update released ? ... or just the new Seasonal's ? and where is the Chaparral ? :boggled:

So the Infinity was there since the last update ? :boggled:

I feel the day may be looooong.... :nervous: :D

Wait 'till you get to the day of maintenance... :D

We don't know yet if that's the case, no need to roll your eyes about it. And besides, these races are already a surprise, if anything, being so different from the usual Seasonal Events layout.

3PM AEDST time tomorrow for this maintenance.

Essentially means 1PM PD time which is a usual time for an update to be released during a maintenance period.
