Mr Sphinx I do have one request :sly:

Could you please move Mr Volcano from Div 1 bronze to Div 1 Gold so I can have a better chance to win the Div 1 bronze spot for upcoming challenge :sly:

Please take down my splits.

Upon closer inspection I have an AI tapping my right rear ever so slightly on lap 2. :grumpy:

Edit: replace with these splits:

1'56.612
1'55.917

I will submit a time based on the above.
Sorted & thanks for being careful about the rules and your driving Ron mate 👍

Overall it is down to personal preference, as to how much practice you need to come out with a challenging time. It took me most of this week to start getting consistent clean laps. At first I thought it was just an impossible task. Practice makes peferect for me.

Indeed and I wouldn't want to stop anyone from putting as many hours into it as they like, 👍 because you are competing against the likes of GTP_mr_VOLCANO & Co.

Out of interested, what times do you have for your current fastest clean run?

I second that request.

Then can you move Wayne upto silver, then I may get through. 👍

L2 - 1'51.671
L3 - 1'52.005

Total - 3'43.676

Have managed 1'50's but can't seem to string the three laps together. I will do though. 👍

PS - Sorry for double posting, I missed you question, whilst answering another.

Slight improvement again,
Division 2 Gold
Steering Wheel (DFGT)
Lap 2 1.52.931
Lap 3 1.52.111 👍

D1 Updated 👍

Jerome

1.50.935 and a 1:51.009 in the 2nd lap but the 1st lap was much much slower than what I've done before.

Off topic I've also broken the brake pedal on the dfp so where can I get a g25 in the uk from.

Lots of places, ebay, thegametrain, darkplanets, amazon and a few others but its hard to get on in the shops.

just go to G##gle and type in Logitech g25 and then click shopping, job done :sly:

Your statment doesn't bode well for me. I have run hundreds of laps so far, but I can see possible improvements in my race. I currently see that I could easily get a further 2 or 3 seconds out of each lap. At the moment I am running 1'50 & 1'51's, and I am convinced the car will easily do sub 1'50 lap times. I have once done sub 1'50. So I will continue, until I am satisfied that I can't get anymore out of the car.

Sphinx's statement is probably more realistic though - you may well be able to spend hours and hours knocking tenths off here and there and treat it like a glorified time trial with moving chicanes, but not everyone can do that.

I'm sure, given even more runs and another thirty-odd attempts, I could have knocked even more time off my run and looked jolly impressive up amongst the division 1 and 2 drivers on the leaderboard, but it would have been unrepresentative of my race pace. In a race you get one chance to do it right - not hours and hours.

I'm not knocking you personally, your times are indeed impressive, but getting lap times with AI on the circuit is very different from online racing (I'm sure you're quick online too, of course). Do you see my point?

I am actually loving the practice, because one problem I have had is that when in a race, my pace has dropped as I spend more time trying to avoid hitting anyone. At least with this challenge I am getting practice, to race in an crowd.

Tested holden's tune. exelent 👍 needed to tweak it though to get more speed in buss stop.
and you where right holden , my tune is too stiff. yours is more agile. but I have higher speed in buss stop because of the stiffness, maybe yours can go just as fast there, but its harder to do. and superb gears:tup: BTW, my little tweak front toe +0.04,..try it out;)

new times.
DIV 1 DFP
lap 2:1.50.850
lap 3:1.50.504

think I gonna submit this time tomorrow, come on need some challange :sly:

 Impressive.

Hope to have time to find the AI you met on those laps too 👍
I will try not let you alone this high in the sky :sly:

Just finished my third and last 2 hours session for this event. Guess what.... no valid submission whatsoever.;)
Anyway looking at the leaderboard here, even with no AI car scraping my rear bumper I would not have been a threaten for stage 2 of this event.
Congratulations to anyone getting a clean submission.👍 And for those still resisting to smash their controller against the wall, may I wish you good fortune. After all those two last awesome F1 races proved it is full part of racing.

remember my speed question from yesterday grim...? after looking at your video I guess 56mph lowest speed:sly:

After hours and hours finally managed a good quick run withou any bumps from the AI  Sometimes one gets lucky and it was actually my best time so far, so it is the one I will submit :sly:

Thanks NLxAROSA for the great tune, DC garage rules for me! 👍

Division 3 (Silver): Driving Force EX
Lap #2: 1`52.542
Lap #3: 1`53.276

Your not far off I average about 60mph at that corner. As for the bus stop I have going in at 90mph and coming out a little over 100mph.

Here's the laps from my best time I set last week.

L2: 1'52.208
L3: 1'51.802

I think I had a pretty good lap 1 but it's hard to tell without any others to compare against. I've just had a few more trys and I'm not getting anywhere near so I think I might be done.

ok. try brake earlyer on bus stop and you will go over10mph faster... oops we are in same div..

What do you mean brake earlier?
It already feels like it is an eternity in the braking zone.

Don't worry about been in the same div, as I think you have me beat hands down.

Well......in order to preserve what's left of my sanity, I've submitted my time to Sphinx.
This means now that I won't be a slave to this damn event any more. 👍

Sphinx, you are one twisted, perverted, sadistic geezer. :sly:

Seriously though, there's a lot to be learnt from this event, and I've emerged from this ordeal a wreck better driver, (I think).

I mean with that kinda speed I think you brake to late or turning in to late... dont really need to brake that much but turn in gently and early;) have had 106mph (170kmh) turn in bus stop.

I have tried it whilst it was clear. I managed 95+, so a little more practice, should break 100mph:tup:

More time tonight has paid off in a big way for me - new times:

LinPark
Div 3 Silver
1'52.069
1'53.724
G25

There is still even more time in there so I'll try a few more times during the week before finalizing this one. I shaved almost 3 seconds off my lap 2 and lap 3 times tonight and there is definitely more there. Once I start getting times in the 1'51.xxx's I think that will be it for me. Most of the 3 seconds gained tonight were learning to apply the old "slow in and fast out" principal to this track with this car. Keep at it everyone, and you'll definitely see your times start to improve.

Holy crap, I'm bustin my balls here and hit a personal stride this morning to get these times:

GTP_TL
Div4 - Silver

Lap 2: 1'55.222
Lap 3: 1'54.095

DS3 controller

Got to rep Div.4! C'mon!

After lots of tries, and lots of restarts, I finally got a group of AI that didn't ruin a race by contact (although they really tried). This group was actually so fast that I was way behind for most of the race and only had to swerve around them when they spun. So, for my first clean attempt:

Lap 2: 2'01.643
Lap 3: 1'59.573

Div 4 Bronze
DFP
GTP_Im_Sorry

new times.
DIV 1 DFP
lap 2:1.50.850
lap 3:1.50.504

think I gonna submit this time tomorrow, come on need some challange :sly:

STOP IT!!!

lol.. That's a great pair a laps there man. Props.

Lap 2 1'50.976

Lap 3 1'51.081

..:)

WOW, that's really fast.👍 I would imagine that a high speed corner like Bus Stop is faster with your stiffer setup, as holding high corner speed is more important than putting power down at that corner.💡
I will try the front toe idea, turn-in has been a pain for me.
Can I also just say, my tune is on top of the boards of a GTP event.:D (Thanks mr_VOLCANO

Wow, old mate from Div 5 is performing a little better than most would suspect.;)
