To be BLUNT, your being a JERK…
No, your [sic] being a jerk – picking fights when there isn't anything to fight about in the first place. As Famine noted, you were being unduly harsh, then you turned on him about flaming, which makes no sense. Just calm down and stop picking fights, please.

I am now thorughly convinced that this guy is about 4 beers short of a 6 pack... :dunce:

I get the impression that he has already downed at least one case (24 count), and he may be working his way through the next.

I'm not a very good driver but even though I find the missions to be very hard I really like them. I have to drive to my max and do the missions numerous times but its made me better than when I started out. I haven't beaten a lot though (I haven't tried a lot of them either, however) but i've done 1-10, 17, 19, 20 and I think thats it.

I kind of wish there was a more gradual progression of difficulty through the Missions… 1-10 are fairly easy, while 11-30 are considerably harder. There's a large gap (skill-level-wise) between 10 and 11, which I imagine frustrates a lot of people.

Your 100% A spec completion is a moot point. What is the difference between completing it in B spec or doing it in A spec. How many people here use overpowered cars to dominate the endurance race. Where is the skill in that? None, there isn't any. So, what is the difference between A specing a 24 hour race with a dominant car and B specing it with a dominant car. I rest my case.

If you really wish to show how cool and froody you are for completing a 24 hour endurance race in A spec you will need to give us a screen shot with your A spec points. If they aren't close to 200, I have no need of you. Oh wait, A spec points are hit and miss. Nope, your entire point is moot.

At first mission 34 seems nearly impossible, but I'm glad this mission was included in the game. It kind of forced me to drive on the track alot and actually get used to it. I know Nurburgring fairly well now, thanks to that last mission (which I still didn't beat :guilty: )

ive done all of the one lap magic missions except for the last one, no.34, around nurburgring.
Anyone got any hints on that?

after you have done a sector, write down the time for each one as you go along. if you are 1 second slower than the first place Merc at the end of the lap, then try and improve each of your sector times by about .1 of a second. I knew i wouldnt pass the mission on the 1st attempt so i did this, and on my 2nd attempt at M34 i came first by over 2 seconds 👍
also, make sure you drive carefully around the last few sectors before the long straight, because you tend to get a bit of air and is very easy to spin out when you are going so fast.
the part between the long straight and the finish line is the key, dont brake to early or too late because you come in at over 300km/h (186mph) and is hard to work out the right braking area. 💡
hope this helps 👍 good luck ;)

Have I not uploaded it? How very remiss of me.

Have completed the Mission Hall today. Only had to do the missions no. 25-29. I passed them within 30 mins. The toughest missions are 11-15 and 34. The rest is quite easy. Didn't have much trouble with missions 30-33. Had the most trouble with mission 34, took me all afternoon yesterday to pass that one. But eventually, I passed.:D So, finishing the Mission Hall today wasn't that difficult, it was easy.:D

For all those of you who have found the US version of the Missions "EASY", could someone let me know how in the hell you got through the mission, (Sorry...can't think of the actual #) where you have to slipstream a Nissan CUBE or whatever the hell it's called...This thing here...around the High Speed Ring....

I've tried everything and anything I can think of and for the life of me, can't even get up to tap the bumber on car #5....

I've redlined my 'cube' while in 3rd gear to no avail....
I've dropped down to the flat section while in 4th..but the damn thing won't even go past 99mph...

Any tip on how to at least get up to the 5th car would be greatly appreciated...as I should be able to take it from there....

Thx-

All you have to do is drive straight down the front straightaway, then drive down low through the turn until you can slipstream him, then get back behind the 5th place car, draft and pass him, then you should be able to draft off the next car... this continues until youve passed them all...

11-15 and 34 are the toughest. The rest is fairly easy. Tips to drive well... Just stay on track and drive as fast as you can. With the Lotus mission (31) just slipstream with every Lotus, specially in the last part, then you'll win by a second or so.

Mission 34...
Stay on track! Most important, if you miss one time, you're done for. So, stay on track, take risks, otherwise you won't succeed either. Make sure you pass the first Mercedes just before the corner before the Caroussel corner. Then take the following before the left hand corner what takes you to a difficult corner, where the chance is big you'll end up in the gravel (after going down and the corner goes up). The 3rd Mercedes you'll get at the start of the last long straight. The 4th Mercedes you'll get then at the end of that straight, and the final Mercedes you'll overtake on the last straight of start/finish.

The rest is just racing hard and give everything you got... Most of the missions you can do quite relaxed. Missions 16-20 aren't hard at all.:)

Done that...A few times now to no avail but I guess if it works, I'll just keep trying it!

Thx! 👍

I don't think it's over if you have one miss. I managed mission 34 with two penalties and an unwanted trip to the grass, and passing the first car 2 turns after the Caroussel, so a perfect run is not needed.

Though... I had a near perfect run a few days ago and won by 4,8 secs (clean run, no grass, no wallriding, no cutting corners more than curbs).

It has been mentioned that it would be easyer with a weel, but I have done it with both, also with automatic and manual so this is also of less importance.

I'd say that the most important lesson is to know the Ring like the back of your hand. Do the 4hr Ring Endurance in the Mercedes and you'll do Mission 34 in no time. :)

I agree. Most of the time I have spent practicing for Mission 34 I used for learning the track. Now I am to the point where I have memorized just about every turn. The other important lesson is to know what your car can and cannot do. Sometimes you have to brake early, sometimes you can dive into a corner, sometimes you can ride the kerbs, sometimes you cannot ride them, etc.

With practice, I have become rather quick in most places, though some still have me losing time. Now it is just a matter of putting it all together, finding those extra few tenths here and there, and having a bit of luck. For some reason, though I found most of the other missions relatively easy, this one is taking me longer than it is others.

...but persistence is paying off. I've closed the gap to nearly 5 seconds, right on the tail of the SLK230, and I know with a bit of a smoother run I can take off another second or two. Just those few more tenths here and there, and some luck...

Pay careful attention to the audio. You should hear a wind noise most of the time, but it will disappear once you've entered another car's draft.

Keep steady on the straight and then get down very low in Turn 1. Once the fifth car seems close enough--and it does not have to be as close as you might think--, get up to the yellow line and try to find the draft spot. Once the wind noise goes, your speed will start to increase, and eventually you can slingshot past the car and close in on the draft spot behind the fourth.

For me, it took a short while to get into position behind the fifth car, but once I drafted and then passed him, he actually returned the favor. It was a good thing, however, as I drafted him again, and then we both came up on the fourth car rather fast. They crashed and I went on to the third...

you win 50,000 for passing the last mission

Nice! I didn't know that.

I only have 3 missions left (34, and 2 of the 1 lap magic ones...)

I beat 11, 16, 14, and 13 today.

When I first got the game 11 and 16 they seemed so impossible but I did all of these today without too much work, I guess I just had to learn the track doing the races and stuff. Hell, I beat #16 by 3.18 seconds!

mission 14 is easy if you make simple observations. initialy i was using the wrong gears for my tirns and could not maintain my power all the time. the first hairpain, the slow corner before the bridge and the corner just before the pit should be taken in first gear. this helped me maintain a hair speed going through the corner and exiting.

My strategy to winning the slipstream battles doesn't work with Mission 23. In review, my strategy for other car battles was to enter someone's slipstream late, then blast out to the outside to pass another car, or dive right into the inside to increase your gap between the car(s) you trailed. For Mission #23, you're going to need some help.

Did you know that Driving Missions can be completed? If they could not, then NO ONE would achieve 100%. On record, I've cleared all of "The Pass" mission and got a car I never really liked at all, that DMC DeLorean (knock me at will). Driving Missions test your ability to win under rough circumstances. And if you don't learn these sooner or later, then when it comes to be challenged for real, you're going to want out of GT4. So I'm going to tell you a story about knowing what challenges in GT4 are about.

In a rally race once, I had my Toyota RSC Rally Raid Car. When I raced Tahiti Maze against some other car in the Hard races, I kept racking up penalties for ramming the other guy with the front of my car and for slamming my ride into the wall. It came to a point to where I had to make up a 12-second margin with a car that should have been the easy favorite. But like life, nothing's meant to last or be easy. So I had to do a little strategy. I was trying to get as much speed as possible, riding the walls without actually hitting them. I was just... cavity searching for extra speed. While riding walls and not racking up penalties, I managed to catch up to the leader. I had no NOS installed. I had no GameShark. I caught up with him, passed him on the last few laps, and won the race in a bigtime upset. Did I do this once? Oh, no. I did it again with Tahiti Maze Reverse. At a huge penalty, made it all up again, passed the leader, took the lead, didn't look back.

Basically, Driving Missions help you do better in GT4, much like the License Tests. So if you don't learn soon to be the best GT4 racer, when will you learn to?

well, now i've done all the missions. the only really difficult one is the slipstream with the GTR. there is a definite method to it. the rest are particularly easy. I don't get why anyone finds 11 so hard, if you do, brake earlier and dont hack around. that car needs a smooth hand, but you should be able to get into first at the last corner onto the straight. as for the last mission, I got it second go with two penalties. I got the first car at the first part of the back windy straight (don't know what its called!) but thats a long way before the carousel, made one mistake before that point too. I think alot of people must be pushing the car too hard, it doesn't react well to a thrashing (I dont think). good luck and keep on truckin' 👍 👍

Mission 1-10 : DMC DeLorean S2 '04
Mission 11-20 : JAY LENO Tank Car '03
Mission 21-24 : PAGANI Zonda Race Car '01
Mission 25-29 : TOYOTA 7 Race Car '70
Mission 30-34 : NISSAN R89C Race Car '89

its 1000cr per win in 1-10, I think 10,000cr per win 11-20 the others are a mix of 7500cr and 10000cr and its 50000cr for the last one I think. not sure on the money, but the above car list is right.
