I did it first time after watching the video then called my mate to tell him I did it first time when he's been trying for a week.

Thanks for the vid Famine and Daan

I just had a mental experience on mission 23.. coming up to the start/finish straight at the end of lap 2, and i was on the inside and the black car, nudged my rear end, sent me into a spin and i kid you not, i must of done at least 15-20 360' spins. with the front and rear wheels never on the ground at the same time.. this lasted for like 10 seconds... how do you record/post vids on here, cos i think its worth showing!

YES... at last!! Thanks to famine and Daan as i've finally done it... i watched the video and i managed it on my 3rd attempt after.. i finished 0.376 ahead and i've not actually felt this happy in a long time!! haha.. thanks guys :-)

pushing another car around got me within 1 sec of the yellow one, i will try again now. :)

edit:no luck still cant do it, oh well :indiff:

p.s 💡 could you somehow go backwards and hit the yellow one and get him stuck on a wall maybe?? its cheating i know but if it works it will help people who cant be botherd trying over an over to get it rite (like me).

So have you guys totally memorised the ring now then?

Yeah, completely. I know it like the back of my hand now. I can turn laps in under 6 minutes easily now. My favorite car to run on the ring has to be the BMW M3 GTR Race Car. LOADS of fun. Especially after watching the video of Hans.

Oke this is what i did:

I use Automatic gears, just hold the car in fifht gear with R2, wich is like in real cars an option to overwrite the Automatic signals.
Then slipstream each car and go back immeditalely on the racing line again, watch your mirror and let ai's pass and do this all the time.
Firts try worked for me trying this, i caught him on lap 2 and a half

The other cars also slipstreamed me in the end, so the yellow guys actually finished last!!

any hints for 24?
(except keeping the slipstream of the car in front alle the time?)

slip stream the first car pass him take the corner low then get to the outside asap to catch the slip stream of the next car pass him and then repeat i passed this mission on the first try

I must thank all at GTPlanet for my success on the first try, but...IT IS NOT TRUE THAT YOU HAVE TO STAY IN FIFTH GEAR. I was able to win by a whole second and I just let the AT go ahead.

Finally... Mission hall test 34 took me 2 hours. Started off with a 38 sec. difference. Went down to 30, 24, 14, 11, 9, 6, 2.8, 1.3, 1, 0.8 and finally I'm there!!! :)

A few (bad quality) pics for for reference. :)

I might have a different version??? - the 4 cars that are my draft buddies 'all' come! I did as famine mentioned even before I read this thread, so I couldnt beleive when I watched the video-that it worked! The 4 sky's that are drafting around w/me are the best AI drivers i've seen! They all get in line as they should do to pass. They do kind of bunch up on the first lap, which gives me very little draft time once one of them finally catch up to me. And the rest of the race is trying to time out who's coming from where, and who to get behind at the right time w\o getting taken spun! The last time I tried last night the guy who was behind me in the turn, actually won(ddnt help that he bumped me right into the 1st pl.sky taking us both out to win).

I went through and beat 21-24 on the first time and got the sweet black Pagani. If I go through and do them again will I get another Pagani? I noticed that it's giving me the cash every time, but I'm having a hell of a time beating #23 again. Am I waisting my time? :dunce:

FIRSTLY ill like to say that the designers SMOKED LARGE AMOUNTS OF CRACK, before creating this mission.

POINTLESSS and stupid,

MY SOLUTION:

- GO past cars in the first turn, make sure u dont take too much slipstream, otherwise it will not work,
- The slipstream of the car in front of u at the start should be enough.
- After passing the cars, stay on the outer yellow line ,
- When you come the straight one of the cars will take ur slipstream, and come behind u.
- Gently move in front of blocking his way so he bumps your car forward,
- Make sure u stay in front of the traileing cars.
- Repeat the procedure on all the straights as they can only try to overtake u on the straights
- At the last staright try to take 2 'pushes' fron the trailing pack,
- Altogther u need like 7 or more i think pushes from them.

ALL THE OTHER METHODS HAVE BEEN TRIED, but found to be a bit CRAp..

Good luck guys, stay sane and have mercy on the JOYPADs :)

Yeah, I'm stuck in the last mission. Couldn't get less than 5 sec behing :indiff:

///M-Power
I am still 15 seconds behind; did manage to get up to third once...

I can almost promise you both that there's just one or two turns you're not taking correctly. Find those, and you'll have it. I was the same way until I found a few spots where I was braking too late and not coming out of the turn fast enough. After that, I shaved off huge chunks of time.

I've already done it :D
Crashed into the leader car, he went off the track and I got 5 sec penalty but I still came 1st ;)

Yes, there are a few spots I know I can improve my braking for sure, where I usually brake too late and either unsettle the car or mess up my line by going into the corner too deeply. I had a brief run earlier on and payed closer attention to my braking points, and I managed to close the gap to 10 seconds. That was with several small mistakes in places where I had already gone faster before, so I think a gap of only 5 to 6 seconds is now more realistic. If I change my line in a few other places and/or drive more smoothly, I am sure that can be further reduced and victory should come very soon.

Regardless of my speed, however, this mission, like the 3 Lap Battle at La Sarthe, has been extremely helpful in helping me to learn the track better. While I still cannot say that I know the Nürburgring like the back of my hand, I have 80% to 90% of the track memorized and the rest on a "I'll know it when I see it" basis, allowing me to have fun in other cars as well without having to worry about flying off the track.

woohoo i just won mission 34, i overtook the first car way for carrousel on that straight, but overtaking number 4 gave me a 5second penalty because he steered into me when i was on his inside, would have gone about 2 seconds faster the the 9.15 i did now :(

After numerous runs on misssion 34 (where i seemed to consistantly finish within 2-3 seconds of the 300SL) I did him today by 0.7XX Needless to say, I saved the replay so i can cherish it on a weekly basis!

Just did a few more runs, and if it weren't for the small mistakes here and there, a 3 to 4 second gap would be expected. I've started to throw the car around a bit in the places where I know it can take it without unsettling it too much, and as a result I've upped some cornering speeds by anywhere from 10 to nearly 25 mph, shaving nearly three seconds off the first three sectors alone.

 So Famine's method is crap even tho' loads of people have now passed it because they watched the video?

Mission Hall is a *****

I can proudly state that Mission Hall was a *****
I swear that if PD has another annoying +two minute wait on anything in GT5, I will not buy it.

Seems the view can really make a difference in M34. I was using the hood view because it helped my speed in some other missions, but when I switched to the in-car view by accident, I noticed able to be more precise, shaving off more time as a result.
