Mission Eleven: 6'47.472
Mazda 110S (second place): 6'48.131

The Key to this one is Early and light braking. Any late breaking, and you pay in spades due to the lack of power. This one took me about an hour to pass.

If you can't maintain the momentum, you can't catch the car ahead of you. I managed to catch the 5th place car at the end of the first lap, and at the same corner on the last lap, I snuck up on the First place car. Took me some time to get there, and it was just barely a win.

Time Check points.
+ 27.585
+ 25.219
First Lap: + 20.112
+ 17.396
+ 13.862
Second Lap: + 9.605
+ 6.616
+ 3.312
Finish: - 0.659

I've got the replay saved, and I can give a more indepth review if needed. Those times noted above can help you keep track of where you need to be in the race.

Thanks to everyone who posted tips and the video. I just finally passed this dang mission and everything I did has been said before but I felt like writing it down anyway. In the end this is what I did after reading all the posts and viewing the vid after hours of frustration:

On the first lap pass all the cars right away after drafting them. Then remember the magic speed 163mph.. make sure you are going this speed when you exit the corner and then just follow the outter yellow line and wait for the ai to appear in the mirror. Most of the time I end up exiting the corners around 165mph anyway so pumping the gas a couple of times usually does the trick. Just when you think they are sleeping they will roar up on ya. Next get the heck outta the way and let all of em pass that have speed (3 or 4 of em passed a couple times). Try and wait till the last second to move if you can. Then draft them and pass on the corner again.. Just keep the speed up just make sure you leave the corner at 163mph and the ai will catch you again on the straight.

After the 2nd straight you should see your target and after the last one you should be close enough to catch his draft.

So this boils down to 3 steps to success..
1) exit corners at 163mph
2) follow the yellow line
3) get outta the way of drafting ai.

Just ran it then after watching the vid (thanks guys) and won on the 2nd try.

I forgot to keep it in 5th gear after drafting along the 1st straight of the final lap and dropped into 6th gear but was able to keep up with and accelerate out of the 1st corner and catch and draft the yellow car and got past him at about ~280km/h and then stuck to the inside of the 2nd corner and on to the staight for VICTORY!!!!!!

I Also used the D-Pad on my controller to give me better control of the car during the corners which allowed the trailing cars to keep up with me and thus be able to draft at the end of the straight.

Thanks to everyone for their opinions and thoughts on this topic. Keep up the great work!

I have completed all missions except the mission 14.
I have no idea how to complete them.
Any help?

Thanks

I exited the first corner with 275kmh, and keept my foot down
Then i let the first AI pass and the next bump me, Drafted the first and overtook (repeated this)
last corner i could cath the yellows slipstream and overtook him as well

worked perfect

I have four missions left. 11, 14, 15 and 34. Have not played 15 and 34 yet, but 11 and 14 are hard.
Hi guys,

I breezed right through all my licenses, first week. But they were mostly bronze with maybe a few silver (by accident :P).

Then, I breezed right through Missions 1-10. I thought, "Man. I've really got this!"

And then came Mission 11. I just today passed that thing after TWO WEEKS of trying. I was bound and determined; it had become "personal"!

But now, I have done what I committed myself to do. No more Mission Hell for me; it's time to start enjoying the game again.

My story; YMMV applies as always.

Mission 11 is really hard, try some of the others, you might be surprised that most of them are easier than that one. The key to mission 11 is to know the track perfectly and know where you have to start turning so you come out of each turn as fast as possible. Enter relatively slow and exit fast.

The same can be said about mission 14. Try to drive around corners smoothly... try not to get understeer, just enter relatively slowly by braking and turning early and then smoothly drive out at quite a high speed. I passed that damn buick early in lap 3 already once I figured out how to drive.

Yeah, I was shocked at the difficulty. Would you put Mission 11 on par with golding a license test?

I *am* proud as hell that I actually stuck with it until I got it. But I'm thinking like, "whew. enough's enough for now." :D

My advice may not be as technical as other people's but its what worked for me:
-Don't try to take the turns faster than they should be taken. Taking then too fast will only lead you into the wall.
-Apex every turn, even if you have to slow down. The racing line is more important than the speed at which you take the turn.
-Don't hit any walls. They just kill your time.
-Take the roundabout cleanly.

I just finished mission 34, and I think the key to it was to get to know the track (duh) and brake a little earlier than normal so you get a fast exit speed. The whole exit speed thing improved my lap times by around 10 seconds.
me=100% done now :)

All I have left is still mission #34, I've only done it about 7 times (including a cpl times where I fell off and restarted) and I'm down to 20 seconds off...lol

I tried mission 34 only once (...well, only finished once...) and was at + 30.XXX, so I said screw this. I doubt I'll ever bother to win that mission, the 120 minutes wait is too much for me. They should have spawned the other cars ahead of the track instead of making me wait til they finally get there.

I have M34 down to 9.13 seconds.
I was ripping!
Where the hell am I going to find 9.13 seconds?

PS its beyond words how much I hate the 126 sec. countdown.....

Yeah I "tried" Mission 34 for kicks just to see what all the fuss was about. I laughed out loud when I saw what they make you go through. Just. Sitting. There.

While.

Ugh. :)

Two hours wait! Ouch, you must have a really crappy version!! ;)

I thought the same thing at the beginning. On my first tries, I just was unable to do a clean run, was always making mistakes. Then I decided to keep focused to just stay on the track, and my first time was around 30 seconds down like you. I just wanted to let down. 30s seemed to much. But I want the prize car. So I kept practising, waiting also for these frustrating 120s.
You know, this mission is just a question of practice. You have to know each curve in order to pass it at the proper speed, and to be on the good line. Now I know each portion of 75% of the track (it took me around 1.5 hours I would say). On my last 2 attempts, for the first time I realised I could win it. I finished 3s down on 1st place after a crash and a 5s penalty after the long last straight. At my very last attempt yesterday evening, I should have won....but again I crashed at the end of the straight as I has just passed the 2nd car.
But I went to bed delighed, because I'm sure now that I can get it, it's just a question of time and a few tries.
Keep practising, you'll be surpised how much time you can gain just by learning the track and knowing it like the back of your hand. You'll get it, hard work usually pays.
Regards,

Finished this one in 6.45.974. The Mazda did 6.47.154. Saved the replay, since this one is hard! But a beauty to drive!

:grumpy: hard work. I have enough of that at school.

Well, get used to it, because it's gonna be the same after finishing school. :yuck: I should have worked harder when I was a student, several things could be easier now. :ouch:

I finally beat Mission 34!!!! Arrgghhh..... man that was my third sit down session for atleast 4 hours til I got through it. I had two races just before it losing by .214 and .270 respectively... talk about taking the wind out of your sails! I finally put together a rather handsome lap and managed to win by .894 Thank GOD it's over! LOL... now onto finishing all golds in the liscense tests. 67.7% complete and utterly dreading all of the rediculous endurance races.

PS. I am sure this has been talked about previously but I was so mad about it I need to vent. Can someone please get a message over to PD to let them know that waiting for any period to start a race is the most rediculously stupid thing I have ever seen and whoever wrote that into the game should be taken out back and beaten unmercifully? 2 minutes 3 seconds just sitting and waiting listening to the constant throttle blips of the other cars is enough to drive someone insane!

See my problem is that I am looking out for the thousands who want to pass it at any cost rather than be concerned with how a very select few will poorly critique my efforts.

Judging a book by its cover is ignorance in its most common form,.... I'm on Kai every night for those who dont mind putting their money where their mouth is.

Most of the Missions only take practice and experimentation, but many of them can be cheated to win by a larger margin or spending less time trying to complete. Sometimes you might get lucky by getting a good run after 19 tries out of 20. I found a few ways to cheat to beat Missions I thought were impossible until I noticed a few things by accident.

***Missions are not like license tests.*** You really DON'T have to stay on the track to win a race. Keep that in mind.

I only need to pass four more tests to sweep Mission Hall. Sarthe, Nurburgring, Suzuka and Tsukuba. Even though I have my Super License, I haven't practiced at all on the first two tracks, so I'm way off time. I'm pretty close (around .300 off) on Suzuka and Tsukuba and I'm fairly certain they can be cheated to shave off the time my skills can't overcome.

One Mission I thought I could never beat using the Lotus on High Speed Ring Reverse became so easy once I found the cheat. One time I was able to finish about .400 second ahead of that slow ass lead car. So pathetic.

I hope I'm of some help.

Sir Berra
