Although you can still purchase and download the games from the US PSN store... in fact with the weak US dollar, I would think you could save a lot of money that way. Granted, if you don't have a HDTV or a TV that supports SD NTSC, then it won't help, as I assume none of the versions of the games in the US PSN stores have a SD PAL option.

At least you have Snake Ball... I wonder why it has never made its way over here?

Because its totally rubbish :D

got the demo and just totally hated it, but I've never been a big fan of puzzle games like that so maybe its just me. Get the demo from EU store and try it.

Last I heard you don't need one. Seeing as I am not in the UK I have not kept up with it, but I know in one of the main PS3 *forums in the UK they had a massive thread dedicated to the PSN Stores and the first page was step by step instructions on how to legally purchase content from both the US and Japanses PSN stores without the need of a US or Japanese credit card.

The same is true for those in the US wanting to purchase content from a European PSN store... although with the current exchange rate, why bother. :)

One thing to keep in mind though is that I believe "add-on" content must be from the same region as the game, but don't quote me on that as I suspect that is only for certain games and not all games.


* I can't recall the forum, and as I'm on vacation and using my wife's laptop because mine died, so I don't have my bookmarks, but I'm sure some quick Google searches will net you all the info you need.
 
You shouldn't need a US credit card at all as long as you have one of the international biggies. I've ordered stuff from overseas and spent money while overseas myself, using my regular old Mastercard.
 
What about debit cards like Switch Maestro? Also wont they charge you a fee for abroad transactions?..... wont you need a US billing address?, sorry if this has been asked but I really don't know about this stuff!

Accoring to the PlayStation Blog it is based on your PSN usage (DLing the theme is your application). I wish they would define that a bit better. I don't game online a lot but I am logged in almost 24/7 doing Folding.


And I buy more from the store than the average guy.
 
It's a hoax! I downloaded over 150gb contents from PSN and paid to PSN titles but in the end nothing happend. I'm sick of this whole "Home" thing. One day I would be married with children but I guess I'll still be waiting for Home.
 
You have to wait until the end of august, I think it even says that in the description.

Um, nothing was supposed to happen right now, other than you got a decent looking theme. When was the last time you filled out an application for anything and heard back immediately?


And if you don't want to get disappointed with Home delays then just ignore anything to do with it.

Was there no update to the European store this week? I cant be sure because I havent really looked closely recently but I dont think it has been updated.

Oh right, I'll look now and post what it is about. I also might download the Tiger Woods demo seeing as though I dont have a golf game and Pradraig Harrington is doing so well recently, I should probably learn a thing or two about it.

Edit: I downloaded the interview, nothing else to say other than, dont bother. No news, he just says the same thing over and over again in english that is ok, but with subtitles that dont seem to be listening to what he is saying! Anyway he just talks about how developers will love the playstation and that their people in Japan are working on loads of new features for it. Only one piece of information note worthy I think is that he hopes that in the future games on the PSN could be funded completely with advertising. So does that mean that we could be getting games in the not too distant future on the PS Store for free. I know they arent expensive, but for those of us who dont have credit cards yet they are frustrating.

Also, anyone that was expecting the Rush Moving Pictures full album for Rock Band today (that would be me) it has been delayed due to technical difficulties. Rumors are vocals on YYZ. It looks like Moving Pictures will be delayed at least a couple of weeks. They will shuffle their DLC schedule to get something out this week and next.

I'm going to have to check out the Quantum Of Solace trailer, although I haven't been on my PS3 much since getting Too Human on the 360. I still need to get Kratos on Hot Shots: Out of Bounds too.

Oh and I see the original Driver is in the EU store, is it in the US store as well? If not I can just buy it from the EU store right?

Force Unleashed is really fun, although it seems kind of too easy from the demo, and everything seems to run on a track that won't let you search around at all. And the graphics aren't great, but not bad.
