Battlefield 1943 better have at least 64 player maps. No excuse considering PC has had 64 player maps in the battle franchise for years and now MAG has 256 player maps on the PS3.

If it doesn't go more than one level past the tutorial do not be fooled. It gets frustratingly hard after that.

I really want to get Patapon 2, but I am waiting a bit. However, in Pulse Christina Lee had a Patapon Plush, and I want that now. That and a Sackboy.

Anyway, has anyone ever played the PS1 bowling game? I wouldn't mind a bowling game for my PSP, but if it sucks I'm not interested.

Also, I see a lot of older PSP games coming out as UMD Legacy games, but costing almost the same as they did new. If that is the digital distribution trend then I definitely can't support it because I know I can get a few of those for cheaper at a game store. All other issues aside, if it isn't at least financially equal I definitely won't be in favor of that kind of a switch.

That said, I do understand the point of having rare and hard to find games marked at a $15 price point when your only other option is $85 on Ebay or something.

Oh I thought 1943 was a full game with a full size Wake Island Map

I dont like 24 players and a small map (Hopefully it at least has the battleship like the BF2 Wake Island Map) but for $15 i may consider it.

Pursuit Force is an interesting one, I know they had for a long time a port of extreme justice in development for PS2 but then nothing was heard about it for ages, I guess this is what they decided to do with it in the end.

Bit pricey for a PSN game but I suppose its the same as buying a PS2 game and it will most likely benefit from online play and trophies.

Bit pricey for a PSN game

As it is one of the UMD Legacy titles (full digital ports of previously released UMD games) they are not looking at it as a PSN game, but just as a PSP game.

It's similar to buying Burnout or GT5P on the PSN for $40. They aren't just PSN games.

That said, it is still pricey as you can get it new from an Amazon retailer for almost $10 and even less if you buy it used.

And that is an issue with digital distribution, that it doesn't take time-related permanent price drops into account unless it is a product that never sells at its initial offering (Jeopardy).

I don't know about you guys, but I got a free game.

EDIT: On the PlayStation Blog non-US members have been able to log in with a US account to get the free game too.

So, free game for all.

First it was the big update to Home, and now this. What a monster update. I used up about 10GB of my hard drive with just the free stuff today.

All the new demos didn't help any either:

• Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10
• Up
• Red Faction: Guerrilla (multiplayer)

Just a heads-up, apparently the reason the NA store did not release the new demo for Red Faction: Guerrilla is that there is a problem with the demo or the servers... either case, if you downloaded it off the EU store it likely doesn't work... unless they have already fixed the problem.

BTW: Speaking of demos... the PS3 just recently reached another milestone of sorts. To date they have now released more than 200 game demos on the PSN store.

I wonder if the EU will have a similarly sponsored free game on offer, seeing as we usually get the rough end of the stick (especially with Home).

I wouldn't hold out much hope on getting a similar offer just like the US did. Unless you have someone willing to market to your country (as only the Us, not all of NA, got the deal). Although, nothing prevented you from logging in with a US account and downloading our free game.

As for the Home thing: If I could I would trade you the Guitar Hero, Farcry, and Chamber apartment spaces for your multi-screen theater and Watchmen outfits.

I just installed the Zen Pinball demo, and it's a bit disappointing because it is in 576p... I won't be buying it since pinball games are pretty yawntastic at the best of times - although I had a pinball game for the PS1 and it was mega-addictive... it became more of an endurance test rather than a game involving any actual skill. One good thing about it is that you can listen to your own music in the game, which is very handy - although sadly the demo stops when you reach 2,500,000 points, which should only take you a couple of minutes...

I am about to try the UFC Undisputed demo - I played the full game on Xbox 360 at the weekend, and it was good fun, although I won't be buying that either, not least because it does get pretty repetitive pretty quickly, although it is a great offline multiplayer game 👍

Yeah, Rock Band unplugged is pretty decent, its basically amplitude with rock band instruments instead of the various different sounds you had with those games.
I was considering buying the full game yesterday but then Iron Maiden DLC got announced.....

I'd happily swap demos for Resident Evil PS1....

The US store didn't update until I was about to go to bed last night so I only had time to start the downloads. I'll be trying the demo tonight. I like Beats and I liked Amplitude the one time I played it, so I have already placed it on my birthday list.

I know, right?

Seriously, EU definitely won the content pissin' contest this week... although I have no doubt there will still be EU users finding something to complain about regarding how un fair they feel they are treated in terms of PSN content.

Demos, trailers (BTW: the ones for the KZ2 badge abilities are very cool!!!), and such I don't care about as we can get them easily enough using regional PSN accounts.

However, DLC that ONLY works with the game from that region, let alone downloadable games and DLC that is difficult to purchase from other regions is a drag.

Hopefully we won't have to wait several weeks for a NA release of Cellfactor: Psychokinetic Wars and Inferno Pool like we have for some of the games that were first released for the EU PSN stores. I'm still waiting for all the Buzz! games that are already available in the EU stores that have yet to get released here, like: Brain Bender, Master Quiz, and Junior RoboJam - not to mention a US version of Brain of the ___ for which there is already a World, UK, Australian, and Austrian/Swiss version... but no USA or even World edition for NA yet.

Unfortunately though, it took over six months for Junior Jungle Party to make it to the US PSN store after it had already been released in the EU stores, so I'm not holding my breathe.

I'd also LOVE to get my hands on the Ferrari Challenge DLC... but seeing as how EU got the game a couple months before NA, I am not totally shocked we also didn't get the DLC at the same time.

I am surprised though that the EU stores got the new search function added to their stores, but not NA... well at least not to the Game store, only the video store got it. Hopefully it will be added soon, as I am finding it a very useful and quick tool for finding content on the stores. 👍

Me too, but you can just cruise your PS3's browser over to http://www.gran-turismo.com/en/movie/d3284.html and download the 720p WMV file (100 MB) like I did last night. It is gorgeous.

I imagine we will get the 1080p version on the store by Thursday's normal update. At some point they are also supposed to put the entire Sony conference up.

It might be to do with the fact you can go download it on GT5 Prologue in full resolution. Not sure though, it be good if they offer it on PSN stores though.

I got both GT trailers from my Japan account... Pausing the PSP version Reveals very nice looking portable graphics even if its 4 cars on track.
