Official Playstation Store Thread

Digital-Nitrate, I know when I swapped out my 60gb hard drive for a 120gb, all of my accounts settings were still the same, only thing that changed was the stuff I had downloaded was gone (games, movies, etc).

New for April 5th:

Game trailers:
  • Grand Theft Auto IV
Game demos:
  • Armored Core 4
Downloadable games:
  • Gran Turismo HD Concept version 1.2
Movie trailers:
  • Stardust
  • Are We Done Yet?
  • Perfect Stranger

Thanks for the heads-up SolidFro!

BTW: I just checked, and the European/MiddleEast/Aussie-Kiwi PS Stores exclusively have the full version of Super Rub a Dub available for download.

GTHD 1.2? Why don't you just get 2.0?
Good question. Anyone know what the diferences are between 1.0, 1.2, and 2.0?

Also, for those that had 1.0 and then downloaded 1.2 - did downloading 1.2 replace 1.0 or is it like 2.0 and that you can have both versions on your HDD?

Movie trailers:
  • Stardust
  • Are We Done Yet?
  • Perfect Stranger
The Stardust trailer looks AMAZING... and what a cast!

My other top favorite movie trailers from the PS stores are:
  • NEXT (will either be great - or lousy... movies like these are easy to ruin)
  • Transformers (never liked those toys, but this looks amazing!)
  • Shooter (looks like a very smart and engading film while still offering plenty of tension)
  • Disturbia (although clearly a remake of Hitchcock's Rear Window, it still looks interesting)
  • Fred Claus (done right, this could be a hilarious film!)
  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (looks like the darkest HP film yet)
  • 300 (yeah, its out already, but the trailer is still great!)

Well it seems that 1.2 has FFB, which makes it even more confusing since that was apparently the only change for 2.0 in EU. My guess is different marketing strategies for different areas, its probably the same demo.

EDIT: I downloaded 1.2 and it replaced the older version I had.

Not sure if anyone knew this, but I download the Super Rub a Dub demo from the UK store and it worked perfectly fine on my SDTV that I know does not support PAL format. So the PS3 must automaticly output the correct signal I guess. Was this already known?

New for April 12th

Game trailers:

  • Little Big Planet
  • Mortal Kombat II
Downloadable games:

  • Mortal Kombat II
Movie trailers:

  • Spider-man 3

Thanks for the heads-up, I'm downloading them now.

BTW: The HK PS Store also has a trailer for Surf's Up and another trailer for Spiderman 3. It also has a photo of the teaser poster for S3 available for download (I think that is the first photo that Sony has offered for download in any PS Store).

I just played MKII, it's so cool to go back in those times :D, it's actually faster also.

I haven't tried on-line though.

I downloaded the LittleBigPlanet trailer, and it's the first time I've seen it in HD... and quite honestly, it's one of the best looking games of '07. Simple, yet detailed and clean...

OK, ****ty PSN update this week. There's the Ratchet & Clank trailer we've seen a while ago, and an Oblivion trailer. Plus trailers for movies no one cares about.
Speak for yourself please.

The good news, however, is that there'll be a Ninja Gaiden Sigma demo this Sunday in the Japan store, and Calling All Cars is to be released next week.
Super-Rub-Dub was supposed to be released for the US store today, is it not there?

I'm just giving my opinion... sorry if I came across as trying to speak for everyone else.
I appreciate hearing your opinion, just when you say "Plus trailers for movies no one cares about." suggests you know what our opinion is and that it is the same as yours.

Unless Sony added it and put it in some unknown cranny of the Store, no.
Odd, I wonder why it is taking so long to release it in the US, when the Euro store has had it for nearly a full month now. It sounds like there might be some regional distribution rights issues at play.

Downloadable games:
  • Calling All Cars!
  • Rampart
Game trailers:
  • Burnout: Paradise

Note: Calling all Cars is significantly better with 4 players in the room. Probably wouldn't be enjoyable on a smaller TV done split screen 4 way, but on my TV, it's friggin awesome.
