Official Shift 2 Bugs List Thread

Oh... so I'm not the only one. Is this from Speedhunters like I suspected? Might reinstalling my game data to my HDD fix it?
 
No, it's not from the Speedhunters DLC, I had the problem on PS3 version where I didn't have the Speedhunters DLC.

Having paused the game at the beginning of a replay for about fifteen minutes, when I hit the "A" button to resume it, the attached controller vibrated at the points where it would have during the actual game.

This only happened once so I don't think it's an actual bug as such. In fact I wish it was a feature for replays to also record the vibration or ffb info for a race so watching it has an exta "dimension".

During the GT3 race of the Combo series I hit an invisible wall at Spa, in the middle of Eau Rouge nowhere near any walls - BOOM and when the vision cleared my car faced the right armco and was totally effed up. Big WTF moment! :(
 
Crashed my car during an online race, then the rumble motor in my Dualshock 3 PS3 controller ran nonstop until the race ended.
 
Not sure if this problem has been addressed. But i've been having a problem with the Lotus "Single-Type" event at Zolder. My ps3 just turns off. Anybody know why?
 
I've got a bug/glitch, but I'm not too sure whether it's the game or the PS3. I logged in today to have a few races.... but all of my events are locked apart from the first tier and Legends. Also, I don't have the cars that they give you (e.g. the Exige, the NFS RX-8 and the drifter 240SX). What sucks the most is that I've got Hot Pursuit (loyalty program says that I've received the Cinque and Police Réventon but they've managed to disappear from my garage :(
Anyone know what might have happened?

Delete one of your Shift 2 friends. Probably last one you added. One of your autolog friends is causing that problem.

This is an annoying bug that i have. Everytime i hit somewhere around 190-230mph the game freezes. i doesn't happen all the time but most of the time and i'm pretty sure its not my system because NFSS2 is the only game it does it on
 
Every time only on selected tracks like Enna Pergusa, Some time game is very kind and let you play :) On Mount Panorama and Nordschleife with cars like Zonda R, Bugatti Veyron and Gumpert Apollo it's always gamble.

Same thing has happend to me, have been on to money grabbing £A and they have been no help, only way is to pay £11.99 to unlock events and cars. So is this just a money making scam by £A? A lot of people think yes as it has happend to loads of online racers. I worked hard to reach world NO.1 in career on VVVStats NFSStats.com only to have my career locked its a 🤬 joke unless £A will fund me with £11.99 i am done with piss taking £A
 
Thanks Rom, Money grabbing £A still giving me the run around it truly is a joke!! Just sending me the same bull **** emails. How can they get away with putting a game out with so many bugs and just dropping it. Grabbing the money and run, ROBBERS.
 
the worst problem here still the autolog wich never work, just when i delete all my friends and freezing in my best laps...just got the legends and drag pack a few weeks ago, hope don't have the same problem steve, i know 2 more drivers with carrer and garage problems... it really will make me try another game and retire from shift. Instead everybody waiting for carrs nd wishing without the same problems...
 
PS3 Game freezes it the same places when it's running from Disc or entirely installed on HDD, so 👎👎👎
 
My career has been locked for over a month now, EA support have been no help at all, i clicked pay to unlocked events, at this time i didn't have enough money in my wallet and it worked, so i was thinking it unlocked for free but no checked my email and my wallet had funded by my debit card, so money grabbing £A have had me over.🤬🤬🤬

Now my autolog working very well after i delete all my frinds and i make acopy for my carrier .so i delete all the data and download staff and re setup again ps3 and download all data for nfs and the legend and speeed hunter package so its working but if i start to have fast friend in my autolog freezing again so iam not accept any friend request from fast drivers we know them aleardy like ots-moh Thiagoturbao and more of theme sorry for that my friend Thiagoturbao i hope the can fix that i want see you in my autolog but????!!! when i add them my autolog can't read them time very well because they are fasts drivers in all the world so its freezing . Steve for your carrier you need delete every thinging in your ps3 and start to update it again to the new farmwar and download the data for nfsu and copy your carrier data back again and it will work will wz you less freezing .

I'm the newest member of the "I Have NFS:S2U" club when I bought the PS3 version. From what I've played so far (two days), the bugs I've really seen have been where cars just seem to be stuck at times. One time, I won a race at the Shanghai GP course (or whatever the longest course is called) when I noticed one car crashed, and then another car jumped on top of it from the back. I did my first-ever online race in this game back last night. The guy I was racing against just somehow stopped on the track as I had easily won on the second lap of a two-lap race on one of the London tracks.

Those are really the only bugs I've seen so far.

Is your PS3 online and the game logged into autolog thingy? Try playing disconnected from the internet, it seems to have helped some people with freezing.

Nope... unless you do what I did and sell the game... I kind of regret it though... driving on mount panorama was nice (with cars under 1600 PP because it also freezes with high PP cars on the big straight)

I will try that. Amazingly with other cars on the track it doesn't freeze... what is highly strange, because logically then it would have to freeze even sooner because there is more to display...

Here's an odd bug. Running the high speed eliminator events at Riviera (Pagani) and Road America (Porsche Carrera) where the AI manages to crash on the parade lap. So on auto-drive the AI manages to rear-end the prior car on Road America. On Riviera its worse. Somehow the 3 cars behind me on the parade lap ALL manage to take themselves out prior to the beginning of the race.
 
I had a problem last week where the system hard-froze as soon as I navigated to the news tab in autolog. Had to turn the PS3 off at the machine, DS3 was unresponsive. Happened twice in a row - haven't had any problems with the other tabs, and have decided that I don't need to read the news feed now

News tab on Autolog WILL freeze your system, that's a given now. It is imperative that it be ignored until EA offers a fix (if ever). Its the one surefire way to crash this game.

Thanks, didn't realise that til I found out the hard way. I had read about the password change, but hadnt seen the news tab thing. Oh well, nothing lost other than the 10min of my time resetting the system.
As for fixes, we will probably see Porsche in GT5 before EA fixes anything :dunce:
