Cool ! Where did you find that, about the 2011 version ? I was looking for news about the 2011 game and a new V8 game probably, but all I could find of Black Bean was news about the SBK-game.

I'm not sure it is the 2011 Season version, it just says release 3/2011. Very little information on it.
 
they are working now on wrc 2011 a friend of mine is a tester of the game, he told me that they are working on FFB and wheel support and on achieving better graphics, it says it looks like sbk 2011 and better than wrc 2010.
 
That's great news. The only place I heard about it was on this review site VVV Automotive and it was mentioned by the reviewer in the comments below all the vids.

matter of fact I did get there, and noticed I only achieved one objective yet. Now into the woods with the evo X !

@Paulpg87; nice to hear. I watched a video of SBK2011 and It looks good, but very similar to Superstars V8 NC, which is good in my book, but not in everyone's It seems. Does your friend possibly know If here is coming another v8 game too? I like SVN8NC very much.

Ah well, still enjoy WRC and V8NC, so no worries.

Has anyone of you downloaded leaderboard times in WRC to use in time attack. It is supposed to be possible, but I couldn't find It.

Yup - once you go online off to the right you'll see a stats option for leaderboards etc - once you've opened that option, ghost downloads are there.

You download as many (it'll only allow one per special stage) as you fancy. Then you get back out of online, go to the single player option (just after Academy) and Time Attack is where you'll find the ghosts have downloaded to.

Pick a stage to race - above these it will say in green if a ghost is available - if so, select it and race! Once you post a time fast enough to qualify for the leaderboards, you can upload it.

The game will ask each time, but only those times fast enough to be included will actually be accepted - it'll tell you either way with an 'upload complete' or some message about your time falling off the leaderboards...

It's a great feeling when your time gets posted! My best so far is 9th for one of the NZ tracks (down the ravine.) Probably no longer at 9 anymore though - I'll have to check back and see.

You can choose whichever one to download you want. I'm working down in increments of ten, starting from position fifty (when I have the time.) The fastest guys will take a bit of time catching, I think - luckily their path and braking pattern etc are marked on the track (like with the Academy tests) this helps a lot, I think.

Any luck finding someone yet? Sorry I can't help as I'm PS3 - with Portal 2 getting the cross-platform connection going, I hope more games will have this functionality in future.

Whoa! I did not know portal 2 was getting cross-platform o.O thats awesome. Well WRC is suppose to release here in the US Maymso Ill pick it up then. I have played it on my PC but it took forever to calibrate with wheel and such then HDD crashed and I really dont feel like doing that all over again lol
 
Tested the ps3 demo this morning and it was entrataining, all aids off, it's a nice rally game. On pc this is a Killer Application because of the graphic.
 
All aids off and AI difficulty set to high is definitely the eway to go. Anyway, you can have up to three saves of this game, so different levels can be tried out.

Almost completed the Road to the WRC part myself - just working my way through the thirteen rally (about seventy-eight stages) extravaganza...
 
All done now, except I can't seem to do the offline manual reset, which I need to use for one of the few remaining trophies.

I've tried it in the default setting, also a number of custom set ups but to no avail - anyone had similar problems, or know of a solution?

if they release the 2011 game with Directx 11 and a built in benchmark, they'd get a few thousand more sales probably just for the benchmark .

Will they have real rally stages by any chance ? 2010 version din't have it if I remember correctly

The trouble with real rally stages for games, is their length - games tend to cap a stage at around four or five minutes length. Real rally stages are far longer.

WRC 2010 has the longest of any game I've played though. I also think they'll be doing highlights of this year's tracks, just sections that can be fitted in okay.

Off topic - The old Mobil 1 Rally Championship game had all real length stages from the british rally championship, so 28 miles tests in the dark were in..

On topic. I like WRC, but it just doesn't feel complete. Damage is too similar, graphics are yucky, but gameplay is ok.

Maybe it's the same on ps3?

Yeah, the graphics are pretty bad alright - that will be improved with the next though!
 
I've borrowed this game from my father in law and cannot get the game to work with my G25, gone to the options and there's only the Dual shock options there. Wheel works fine with GT5 so no issue with the wheel. I'm missing something obvious but be darned if i can work it out!
 
As I think about It, probably not, as long as USB is connected. May be you pressed X and start on the controller, to skip the intro, in stead of the wheel and that confuses the game ? Otherwise I would not know, I played It yesterday evening with a G25 (PS3) and all was fine, like usual.
 
I remember a Rally Game on the PS2 a while back by Codemasters that had you start in a Ford Focus. The first stage was like 20 minutes long on an Australian track, then the second stage was Snowy.

If someone knows this game, it would really help me.

On Topic: Are WRC games really good, or are they a waste? I really like long rally stages.
