Just tried the PS3 demo

Man it looks bad.... cheap looking menus, "PS2" style graphics
Terrible co-driver and voice acting
Crappy car sounds with a out of place exhaust bang

Hovercraft'ish physics.

The tracks are like a tunnel with scenery on the side.

Honestly it feels like one of those cheap, Japanese PS2 drift games back in the day....

Ya, console versions of this are garbage. Doesn't take too much to run on PC so it's by far the better route if you have the choice. Trying all I can to get this because it doesn't hit USA until Nov 30th -_-

RBR still king.

Finally got a hold of this for PC and I freaking LOVE it. I had to throw all Dirt habits out the window lol But Its great fun.

For what It's worth. I bought the game for PS3, I drive with a G25 and I like the game very much. Don't let the menu's and graphics fool you, It has a high ' let me try again' factor, and very reasonable controls. It took me back to the Colin MCRae era on the PS2, but now with better graphics and sounds and similar controls.

Im glad your liking it. It's def a great buy. It's about the drive not graphics. CM2005 had horrible graphics but that game is still crazy fun to play.

Played the demo of this (PS3 version). It's honestly not that bad and i'm sure if I was a proper Rally fan i'd enjoy it much more. Coming from Blackbean/Milestone I knew not to have high expectations of it. I asked for it as christmas present given how cheap it is and I'm sure i'll get something out of it. Plus, if anyone is up for organising another racing game pentathlon esque event it might be worthwhile owning a copy of this.

I've seen people holding the fact it plays like CMR against it, but there's a good reason why many people long for the old days rather than DiRT's approach.

I'm going to see how cheaply I can get it for when I pop into town tomorrow.

Yesterday for the first time I played WRC online on the PS3. Good to see my lobby filled in no time and there was some close racing going on. Totally new to the WRC on line options, but I liked the random stage selection and the level-system. Any GT planet members on line (PS3) now and than ?

I'm online (for the first time) at the moment. If you're interested in joining, it's a single stage WRC session. My PSN ID is thestig-13.

I would like to, but since It is daytime here I have other things to do (like work :( . I will add your PSN though, you'll never know. Let me know what you think about the game and the on line please.

I have been enjoying the game, although that's predictable considering I'm a huge WRC fan. I haven't played enough online yet (only managed to get through half of a stage before the other player left) to judge whether it is good or bad. I need a bit more practice in the WRC cars, as I was all over the road on the first stage I played online.

Edit: I raced in a few single stages in S-WRC cars and quite enjoyed it.

Try the ' Road to WRC'. You build up your career, starting with with 2WD cars, ending with WRC. I am now halfway (S2000-cars)and getting interest from WRC-teams. Nice part of the game to learn how to drive, and nicely put together with sponsor contracts, car liveries etc.

Yeah, I'm at that point right now. This game is immense fun and I find I'm driving more in WRC than GT5 - hardly surprising though as I prefer rally to racing.

Online is pretty much always busy, quick and easy to find a match - with no ramming possible, it's heaven.

I find It quite amusing to see people struggle to set up rally-competitions in GT5, while WRC does a very good job, especially on line. Indeed, if you set op a lobby, In no time It is filled with drivers so I guess we are not the only ones liking It :) Have you seen the website of the game ? You can find your on line stats, neat feature ! I haven't played a lot on line yet, but from now on I play It weekly with a friend, as I just discoverd the on line heaven of WRC. Not good for off line progress though...

Must be a mistake. Pictures are from the current 2010-title. Or, may be It is the USA-release, I believe It was not released there ? But the game is WRC the Game 2010, no doubt.

Yeah, I'd heard that the US gets WRC 2010 this month. Those screens are definitely from the 2010 release.

Work is being done on the 2011 title already though, and apparently it will be much improved visually...

Fingers crossed, eh?

Cool ! Where did you find that, about the 2011 version ? I was looking for news about the 2011 game and a new V8 game probably, but all I could find of Black Bean was news about the SBK-game.
