Top time at madrid in SE is "cheating" : ( slamming off the last turn at a high speed.


WHY!!!!!!!!! I'm starting to hate gt academy, should we do it also or are they gonna do something about it.
 
Shweet...who would of thought of such a thing? Surely not the organizors who continue to try to cluelessly band-aid this round :ill: This whole competition is becoming one the biggest epic failures I've ever witnessed :scared::crazy::ouch: Damn you pumpkin head cheaters!!!

How out of touch are the organizors (yes, including PD) of this event?

I have a feeling that no track is safe from this. I have seen vids of people using the walls at nurburgring during license tests. Until PD fixes the penalty system we are going to have to deal with it.

They should just fly all 512 of us to orlando and do round 3 and 4. :dopey:
 
Whats the dude's PSN name? We should talk $hit about him. Not because it will do anything but it might make us feel better.

I put up a 1:39.1 in about an hour - getting to a 1:38.7 took about another hour+...maybe I should have just used the wall bounce to take off that 1/2 second :sly:

With your skillz you shouldn't need more than a couple hours to put up a round 3 worthy time, then you can go on nursing that cold of yours ;)
 
who's incharge of this competition? how hard is it to use suzuka? nurb (gp.f/d)? daytona road course? seca? smh
 
Man, I thought I was on for a low 38 or possible high 37 I was so far ahead of that Guy and he just blew by me down the straight...should know better,lol. Unfortunately it seems its worth over a half sec.
they should just keep toscana going, O well.

Haha - seems he was "faster" than you in the last sector...
 
If it is worth half a sec then I could easily be bumped out of the top 16 because of this. I'm not sure what to do at this point. Do I wall bounce and guarantee my spot in the next round? Or do I keep it clean and possibly miss the cut, hoping that wall bouncers will be DQ'ed?

The only thing I know for sure is that this tournament is complete garbage. If I make it to Orlando (notice I say IF and not WHEN now) I'll be sure to let the tournament organizers know what a poor job they did and what a huge disappointment GT5 has turned out to be.

I just purposefully reset an otherwise clean 1:38.6 because I tapped a wall - it probably wasn't even to my advantage.

If you have the skillz - keep it clean. If not, give up. Seriously - you will get smoked in the next round anyway.
 
This is so lame. Very disappointing, particularly on PD's side.

I was cutting them a lot of slack on the game in general, but this is weak. I understand SCEA and Nissan I guess are putting this on, but the ability to have courses that can't be cheated on is on PD.

They deserve a big COM'ON MAN!!! :dunce::dunce:

Hunk - keep it clean. You can do it. Just take another 1-2 tenths off of Madrid the right way.

It's just 1/2 second, it's not 3 seconds like Indy. The good news is that these hacks seem to be not very good at the REST of Madrid... I really don't think the cutoff will be any lower than about a 2:44.2 even with the cheaters.
 
Yah its just half a sec but I'm .450 away from missing the top 16! I'll keep it clean, but either way there will be some fast people getting left behind because they chose not to bounce.

This will never happen. It's Super Bowl weekend; there's no way in hell anyone at SCEA will be in the office tonight or tomorrow so they won't have the slightest clue that cheating was taking place until the event is over. Don't expect any DQs either. Sony is too afraid to hurt feelings by targeting individual offenders.

Why didn't they just enable mechanical damage? The code is already there. Nothing has to be patched. Just select the option when configuring the event. Seriously, mechanical damage would have prevented these idiots from humping the **** out of armco barriers.

I can't get to TUNERUSA's replays either, but I did notice that he is using a controller. (and TCS if that means anything) I've dropped to 10th in the West since this morning, with about .150 separating me from the bubble. :nervous:
 
Man this is disappointing really. I really thought I had a shot to make it to round three even though I'd be the first to admit that guys like Blindside and fix are too consistent for me to keep up with. Oh well, I'll run my laps on and off tonight and tomorrow during the superbowl, but I've lost all faith in myself. Maybe I'll save up some money and go to a skip barber school during the summer lol.
 
I just watched TUNERUSA's replay and WOW he is bad, plus he has TC on. But you all know why hes put up a marginal time, he absolutely bombs the wall, taking about 20-30ft out of the normal break distance on the final corner. His car should be nothing more than a compacted trash cube.

I knew this exploit was coming but hopefully the top 16 can maintain integrity. I hate these moral issues that arise.

Forza's penalty system would never let these things happen. Have you even played it? It might have its flaws, like every game does, but wall bouncing, corner cutting, and 4 wheels off will get your lap invalidated every time.
 
And this is why I havent took Rd. 2 seriously.:grumpy:

Bring on TDU2. Good luck to those that can put in the time to only get it reset time and time again. I cant and I havent even put in a total of a 1hr and it still gets me steamed. Just dont be a d-bag when you become a pro racer.:)

I just saw it. Pretty much took the wall down on that lap.

Worse, because of that, he's ahead of R1600Turbo in the West! 👎
