It looks like the cakes will be soon out of the oven...http://www.gran-turismo.com/en/news/d3110i21009.html:banghead:

I'll add a bit of speculation to it. Maybe PD plan to launch something like this in Home. Possibly with the Montegi track also??
The way I see it, or at least the best way for Sony and PD, is if PD launch a good Home space, before the release of GT5 and then use it not only as pre-release advertising but also as a method of revealing news about GT. This not only gives them cheap advertising but would also create considerably more traffic in Home.

Now I know all of you are going to argue they should spend time on the game alone, but you have to remember PD are still a business.

Not only a buisness, but a key part of sonys playstation brand which is evident when you look at the board of directors in PD, so i would think sony is helping them in alot of areas as i don´t belive for a second they would pull hands off gt5 to do sideprojects but rather hire new ppl to deal with those!

I think everything got crispy crittered in the oven! So now it will be another 2 years before GT5 comes out.:sly:

Well, cafes have ovens so maybe there is a link... Or I'm so desparate for news that I see it where there isn't any...

6 weeks later not a single journalist from any of the known games sites has even mentioned GT5 news, nevermind a release date, is imminent, yet an annoymous GTP poster apparently had the inside track 6 weeks back.

Blind faith only goes so far, the burden of proof is now on Sony/PD to prove GT5 is not the next GT Mobile.

You know here is a whine thread? The Whambulance is already there.
Why would I post in a thread unrelated to the OP?

6 weeks later and all the OP has done is generate hits and posts with no follow up or hint of news from established sources.

He did mention potential dates for all to be revealed, so save the pitchforks and torches until E3 has passed.

Then PM him, put the rest in the whine thread because complains like yours wont change anything.

So what, the community should just pretend to be "all-smiles" about the fact that GT5 is taking an eternity, and that the biggest fans of the series haven't heard diddly-squat about it?

Right.

Bearing in mind that this is a member who has consistently delivered over years of bringing inside information and latest news to this site and I think you can displell the notion this it is blind faith. Maybe blind to you because maybe you don't know him, but for the longer term members on here Amar is far from just an anonymous screen name. And as mentioned, he has given us an idea of when to expect news officially and we haven't got to thoes dates yet. There is a good reason other journalists haven't said anything and I doubt it is because Amar is the only one who knows this secret information. It is simple really, it's because like Amar the other journalists have all had to sign NDA's too. PD arn't going to get some to sign NDA's and then let others just come out and tell all.

Correct, actually im still thankful that it seems like i can look forward to something at E³.
If there wont be any news, i will complain, but not before. lol

Tonight I had a dream about this topic, so I figured I'll just post my dream in here. :) As stupid as it might sound here is my dream :)

So I dreamt that I logged one on GTPlanet like always and I see that this topic is red (hot). Then I click on it and I see someone has posted a couple of new GT5 pictures. There were like 6 or 8 pictures I remember only 3. One of them was Yellow Volvo S60?? Taxi ( Yeah tell me about it) then the second one was a silver 2007 0r 2008 CL Mercedes, and the third was a picture of Motorcycle doing a wheelie. :D That's when I posted a reply in my dream about amar's "Fiest of gods" that the motorcycles were the coded fiest. Then I woke up checked this website and there was nothing :D So now I came back from work and decided to post my dream lol. Yeah I guess too much Gran Turismo on my mind :)

Don't you think if PD had spilled the beans and slapped an NDA on the news we'd at least hear 'can't comment', 'somethings in the works', 'just wait' etc. like comments from the major games sites and journalists, afterall GT5 isn't some secret, unanounced title.

Yeah will all respect to Amar,he should have waited untill a week or two before this big event thats coming to have said anything,it would stop all this whingeing about what it is and when it`s coming.

PD haven't spilled the beans. They considered it the right time to inform certain trusted news agencies about pending developments, so these agencies are able to prepare their reports for the moment PD gives the green light to publish. And until that time, the NDA applies. The fact that Amar talks about something that he cannot talk about might be an infringement on the NDA itself, but at least it got things going for some time here. If PD were to react on topics like this one, that would be even more revealing than this topic itself (whatever the reaction would be). GT5 isn't secret, but it definit contents is and I believe that what they have in store for us is beyond anything shown todate, in any race game. Yes, I believe! ;)

No, how often do you read in a magazine "there is big news about this game, but we can't publish it". Pretty rarely is the answer, as mentioned above subject to the terms in the agreement that alone could be an infringment, perhaps of lesser proportions but an infringment regardless. You occasionally hear them print to expect something big but this is always subject to the producers wishes, the journalists will be sure to check if they are legally allowed to even hint at something coming. A magazine will never publish against an NDA agreement because in the long run it will cost them.
