Online Racing -> Apologies Here!

Hi guys, long time lurker here, but I've just signed up.
First of all, apologies to anyone I've taken off, or bumped, it's unintentional as I've been trying to get to grips with Suzuka...
Had a few great races with some of you guys already and hopefully i can race with a GTP tag soon if allowed.
My tag should really be always_fourth....

GTP_hoot420, sorry about the punt was hoping for a tight battle... a little too tight :P

EDIT: I take that back. GTP doesn't neccessarily mean clean. -_-. It's a shame. Ramming me into the opponent ahead of me for the S isn't nice.

LMAO! Gee that's a funny one mate! Are you sorry or not? LOL!

Be the bigger man and apologise first. Hoot420 may have hit you accidentally. If it was, hopefully he'll apologise. If it wasn't accidental, I'm sure we'll hear about it somewhere....

Now where did I put the sixaxis...

GTP_hoot420, Nice one on one race last night man. (I was in a red clio)
Sorry for that punt. Just so you know, eventhough I wasn't penalized for it I applied penalties on myself and slowed down. I was bracing myself for your revenge punt, but as a true sportsman, you just waited for me on the last lap to make a critical mistake. Now that's a race! I've been trying to catch up to you since then! :sly: I hope to see you again in Suzuka!👍👍👍

A plea to all the sore losers out there. PLEASE DON'T QUIT! It just messes up the game for everyone. Man, there was a lot of times that I was 30 secs behind from being punted or pushed to the wall but I stayed in the race bec i don't want the game cut off if I quit.

Come on now, show some true sportsmanship. You still get a lot of money being in the middle or even dead last! (as in my experience anyway)

A plea to all posters out there. PLEASE DON'T DOUBLE POST!

Use the edit button. 👍

Duly noted admin. Thanks for the warning, as you can probably tell i'm quite the noob - i'll get the hang of this yet :) (so that's what that edit button's for)👍👍👍

GTP_HAMMER that was fun. Don't worry about the odd contact. What was the name of the other GTP driver?

GTP_kartracer, sorry about punting you at the final chicane at Suzuka. I guess my Jag weighs more than your Clio.
Sorry for the double post.

This night I suffered something weird. I was racing 600PP Suzuka with some GTP members and I was host. Very soon after race start, each player disappeared one by one until I was the only one left. I could still finish the race with no players there. :s I assume this must have appeared as a disconnect to you guys. Sorry for that, must be either a bug in the game or something with my router settings. Not that the game notified me of anything being wrong. Anybody else suffer this??

TO Digital Relay:
Sorry about the entaglment tonight on 600PP Suzuka (RedSuinit). I got bumped from behind right as we approached Degner, and I bumped you off... I tried to make up for it by stopping until you were back in your rightful place (in front of me :)) You got hammered out there by a few other players too, the room was just full of jerks wasn't it, but, you kept it clean! Good racing out there.

TO SpyHunter:

Sorry about bumping you at the last chicane tonight, The lag got to me, you were well ahead so I picked an appropriate brake point then all of a sudden POOF there you were right in front of me and I slammed on the brakes, but it was to late, I had rear ended you. My bad. :ouch:

Let me get this right; You "punt" someone and then expect your apology to be accepted, but all bets are off if it happens to you?

I didn't elaborate Sphinx. Sorry. It was a reactionary edit of my original post. I take a lot of pride and do my best to keep very clean on the track. A handful of you can vouch for my passion for gentlemanly driving. However, when I'm punted off on a straightaway the next lap I don't see any excuse but seeing it as an act of direct retaliation. I'm pretty sure I eased up on the pace to match up and fight for position again as I don't think it's right to punt and run off into the distance. I know I may have indicated that I feel okay about retaliation in another thread but that situation was more of a did-this-to-himself situation (Ferrari punting me inside before corner just before heavy braking -> Loss of grip -> he comes with me because he's on the outside and I'm still carrying speed even with braking = snowball effect) and if you see that as my approval for retaliation its misread. As for apologies, I don't expect any apologies to be accepted and responded to on this thread; sometimes they just have to be out there.

I'll edit my initial post as I am sorry. The reaction I gave and reason to edit was my combined upset and anger at what felt like repeated attacks on what was initially a fantastic experience.

PS: I often post immediately after these things happen and rush them out. I don't often need to spell things out like that. Perhaps there's a thread somewhere on the GTP_ tag and the image associated with it...

Apologies to someone from GB on a Scooby. Suzuka 600, last night.

You overtook me on the straight and braked right in my noose while I was still flat out. I didn't produce the contact, but I could avoid it as I know my 350Z tuned brakes way later, and could have deviated my trajectory from your rear bumper.

i was with this liltlwyld dude from US recently, when i was 1st on the last straight, he slowly caught up and to prevent him from splipsteaming me, i chenged my lane and unfortunately he drives to the same lane i did, and ended up bumping me from behind...

won the race, but its kinda akward feeling.. i was expecting we both finishing by 0.0xx secs..
i dont know am i right or not, but i feel sorry for that.

Sorry to GTP_Gnobody just now on Suzuka 600. I couldn't see anything through all the tyre smoke/dust and as a result I clattered into the back of you. I waited for you to go in front of me but I got disconnected pretty much straight away. Just wanted to make sure you didn't think that I hit you and then quit the race.

Other than slowing down, one way I know if somebody unintentionally sand-bagged me is when they do what they can to give way when I finally catch up. Kudos to you guys for being good sports.

If i unintentionally knock someone i will always wait for them even if i lose more places.

Sorry to GTRP_O something i forgot your name sorry. I accidently nudged you on the first turn @ suzuka, didnt realise you were braking that early.

Hello guys, long time member, I dont post much but read the forums here often..

Just want to apologize to anyone that had the pleasure of racing me last night on 750pp Suzuka..normally I dont race when I'm half asleep but something told me to do so and it resulted in misjudged braking zones and just horrible racing..I either crashed or just kept spinning out all by myself making the others wait an extra 30 seconds for the race to finish..

Sorry to GTRP_ofronk, I shut the door on you hard earlier @ suzuka, I thought you were the other silver Clio driver who had been punting me every chance he got, I belive he also rammed you a few times. Again sorry.

I'm not apologizing, but you just pointing out that GTP_Darthdrift is a dirty player. He's good, but not courteous and will not let you pass. Blocks and will ram you when your next to him, putting you into the wall.

Not sure where to post what i typed, so i put it here. Sorry

Was just in a race with GTP_Darthdrift he was driving through the pits every time on Suzuka 600pp lol. Anyways we got side by side and I was just following my line we kind of bumped each other from the side I didn't really mean to make contact like I said I was just following my line buy anyways sorry about that. I even waited up on you I was going to let you pass me but you just stopped driving for the rest of the race.

Mrelise i rear ended you on a turn. Sorry about that. You braked suddenly and i didn't react fast enough. He ended up going into the sand. My bad, sorry bro.
