Oookay, who is up for another tuner challenge?

I was making laps in my N3 entry and was trying different setups last night. I installed a rollcage and the car did not like that at all, so I have to transfer the setup to a new car tonight.

Got the thing dialed in pretty good, biggest hurdle is the brakes. Getting this thing whoaed down from 150mph can be hairy. Especially since the car has no weight reduction.

I'm guessing your car does not have 750Nm.:P You doubt the Corvette's handling ability?

I thought the Sun stayed up extra long that one day during testing and set on the wrong horizon.
Whats that in ft.lb (lb.ft?)? :P And yes, I do. :dopey:

👍
*off-topic - great news! i finally have a flash drive!! :D:tup:👍

Great news indeed! :embarrassed:

No.... I really screwed up my 4WD entry... but it has great power off the mark, which means corners are hard to take...:(

My Celica could do full power launches like it had R tyres, but then it handled like an 1000bhp FF.

If anyone edits thier tunes (this was mentioned), pls mention it here, cause we're starting to set up the cars tonight, so pls let us knowof any changes by posting in this thread. Updated list to follow in a day or two

~550 lb.ft I think............
Your underestimation shall be sorely misplaced when lap times come in.:mischievous:

awd is in now it's time for rwd. yay It should be up tonight as it's a budget build.

Might want to re-consider that, last budget builds I seen entered in one of these did very poorly because they didn't have enough fully customisable stuff and ultimately weren't that different to stock.

I have the car needed alittle bit more rear spring than it had. So I'm redoing it I hope it's up in the next couple day's. Oh and it's a holden.

Oh well, at least the setups for this competition are flowing in like a tsunami.:)

Bloody oath they are. I'll post an update of the competitors in each class today or tomorrow.

If anyone still uses handwritten notes and would like to print instead, I'll have a Word file for each car that can be printed. I've got the first 13 in soft copy, if anyone wants me to upload them it let me know. Then tell me how to upload.

This is looking like a really good comp. We started on the cars last night and the first line of Mr Lawrence's first review was ...

Sounds great. Made me smile

... which is a promising start.

I've finally decided on a N3 car.

Few hints:

1. It's German, unlike my trio of Japanese cars.
2. It's RWD.
3. It's not a RUF.

Its not all about power! Its about the driving experience. Besides, Thats the most powerful vehicle of the three I picked out for the challenge. The other two, A Beetle RSI, and a Mistu Legnum, They both sucked in comparison.

I love power, I do. I love it even more when handling that power is easier than driving a stock Alto. :P

My N3 tune has suprised me, firstly it turns out the stock LSD performs quite well already and then I find it doesn't oversteer like a bugger with the stock suspension and N3 tyres. Once I start tweaking it, it should get better.

So far, so good. :D

I got my N3 entry almost ready. Who knew 500+hp and 600+ft/lbs would work on N3's. :dopey:

I want to see some of the other N3 entries before I post it though. I get the feeling I may be bringing a howitzer to a knife fight as far as the N3 class goes. :sly:

You say that now, but you can't resist that C4.:P

I think the one with my heart would have something to say about that. :P

My N3 is nearing the 400bhp mark, nice and revvy little motor. :sly:
