I have it and the 67 ticket if anyone needs.

I'll need the ticket. Iirc. Mine has the chassis braces. Let's do a full tilt tuning season. ;)

I got 15 million credits and a Renault Megane that'll earn it back in a few races at Cape Ring :D

And a '67 ticket, but I don't feel like duping it.

If we do have to tune then I'm sending a PM to a guy on my friends list, he has a great tune :).
I only have a 1962 ticket so I can't help.

The Miura is, I think, a little too much of a handful. It doesn't know if it wants to oversteer or under steer and it loves to spin the inside wheel. I think it might lead to some less-than-desirable racing.

The Clio Cup is a fun little car, but its short wheelbase gave me nightmare flashbacks of the Capp with its insta-spin tendencies. It's a possibility, I have all of them and so does Owens so we could have a diverse looking grid and the cars won't all have the same number in the door. 👍

The search continues for now.......

I know some of the PURE/Miata guys tried it, but what about the 86 GT '12 from Toyota? If full tune is a thought we could try the DLC old school Beetle full tilt. If completely spec, that RSI Beetle is fun too.

How do we start racing? When do we race? I registered but dont know how this works

The race admins are still selecting the next series format (car, tracks, etc.), so hold tight for now but I think they are getting close.

Your username is great for this group 👍

I'm gonna be real helpful and suggest the yellowbird.

yellowbird, sure... on CS tires to making it more lively.

Orca, I'm the director so watch for posts from me. The ball is rolling and I should have something together soon.

IS-F RM with Sports Hard tires is surprisingly fun. It's not difficult, but it makes you drive properly.

I like the IS-F but aren't the PURE guys (or somebody) running a series with it right now?

Yes I do believe so. Upset I missed it too.

I personally think the Clio Racer is ideal for our next series. It is lively yet can be driven hard.

If my choice was to be considered and note I dislike Honda. The NSX RM is my number 1 choice. Just love the car. Paintable and personal numbers. Win

R1600T is running a series for the car without ABS and SS tires, but different crowd and different racing. No need to exclude any car because someone else is using it.

My #1 preference is also the Honda NSX RM. Orca has been flirting with that car for a while now, even a date at GVE Reverse, but there have been no commitments yet.

Some seldom used cars that might be interesting

Standards

Spoon S2000 race car
BMW 320i touring
S2000 LM
C-West Razio Silvia

Premiums

Silvia S15 RM
'69 Camaro Z28 RM
Nissan 370Z GT Academy '08
Amuse Super Leggera

Another thought I had was a tarmac series using WRC cars. There has to be aleast a dozen rally cars that have been collecting dust in peoples garages. There are 4 premium models from the '08 season.

I think the Super Leggra is a great idea, tons of power and super fun to drive. I was also thinking of rally cars on pavement, I had a great time with those in an online race at the ring last week.

There has been talk before of a Z car. I would be up for the Amuse, Gran Turismo, or the Academy version. I think either of the 3 would be fun.

WRC cars are high on my list but I figured they wouldn't be popular because you can't paint them or change numbers. The rally cars are all so similar that we could just set a PP limit where they really are even and let people choose one out of the four Premiums, so we'd have a very diverse looking grid. :sly:

Hi! I'm new here. How do we race? Adding ORCA_Champ as friend or how? Is here a calendar? Don't shoot! Any help appreciated. Thank you!

I'd bet testing would reveal there are differences between the cars as no group of cars is ever evenly matched on GT5. If that's the case, you choose the wrong car and you have no chance. If we tested it we could figure out the differences, if any.

I do like the Gran Turismo version of the 350Z along with the Super Leggera (sp?). Iforce had a good list up there too, but the Spoon S2000 is a little short in the gearbox, may not be suitable for the larger tracks. I believe the 69' Camaro RM is in the same boat, but it's been a while since I drove it.

All races are held in the ORCA_Champ, Brandon is the race director.
We currently don't have any races going, but that should be changing.

Yes, I think the Ford was the fastest last time I checked on-road.

Thank you for you answer! OK, but do I have to add ORCA_Champ as friend or how am I doing it?

Yes. Add ORCA_Champ as a friend. That is the room we meet in to race. Btw Welcome to ORCA. Only advice is speak your mind respectfully and everyone here will listen. :)

Brandon should we consider putting out five cars. Each racer chooses their top three. Then most votes wins.

First pick = 3 points
Second pick = 2 points
Third pick. = 1 point

Then tally up. Tie breaker goes to the car with highest ranking totals.

1. NSX RM
2. CLIO CUP
3. Gran Turismo Z car
