The 400pp for the seasonal makes for a decent car - If only GT6 would allow bolt-on parts only you could make a decent car with the fixed sports suspension.

I'd like that, allow us to add power and fixed parts to meet a tuning-prohibited spec, but adjustable parts are prohibited. So we could all have more power but we'd all still be driving the same setup and be in equal cars. It would be even better if we could have a check list of the parts we want to allow, for example the stage 1 turbo is allowed but stage 2 and stage 3 aren't. This would allow us to really spec out a car the way we want but still have a spec, no tuning race. But those are options, which are generally frowned upon by the Maker. :guilty:

I've seen it work in one series where everyone was under honour to stick to certain upgrades. There's some jiggery-pokery that the WRS can do on the replay save files to check what upgrades are applied, but that's an awful lot of hassle for the race director.

Gotta love Jurgen Klinsmann:

That might work over there, but over here so few people care about soccer/futbol that you'd be more likely to get fired for showing that note than just simply calling in sick.

It technically is growing, but it's been doing that since I was a kid playing soccer and it's still barely a blip on the radar of sports. There is a slight buzz about the World Cup, but as soon as it's over everyone will forget about it again.

That hit the nail on the head, soccer leagues are very popular among children here but they tend to move to different sports as they grow older. A couple reasons that pro soccer isn't really taking off here is one) American pro teams suck in relations to leagues in Europe and two) there are not enough advertising opportunities in TV broadcasts. It doesn't help that Americans tend to have short attentions spans and a 2 hour game that ends in 0 - 0 is not what many people here want to see.

The past couple of weeks all I ever hear is football, football, football, I thought I'd be safe here on GTP . I think you're all lucky it's not popular over there - I would rather repeatedly bash my head against a wall than watch a game of football/soccer :banghead:.

Luckily as much as everyone loves football here, we're totally useless at it and lost almost immediately this world cup - so the football noise has (thankfully) lessened recently.

It's not the attention span: NASCAR before the Green-White-Checkered stuff could make soccer look exciting. 3 hours of watching cars go round at Chicagoland is the definition of boring. And this is coming from a NASCAR fan.

I think it has the same problem as F1, all the big teams are too far away.

I love how you suggest that it's a given that every NASCAR race ends with a green-white-checker.

Oh, wait..........
If you ask me it is the second worst idea they have had recently ( first was the "wing" ).

Funny how races before could end under green just fine, only a few time did it end under caution.

Anyway, I see more people needed to take the day off work...
