When we ran the muscle cars there last week in DNE, I don't remember there being near as much aero effect on the cars, or with any other cars I've driven there in all the time I've been playing this game... Maybe it's just me. :indiff:

I was testing cars for a series, the cars I ran after 2.11 were noticeably slower even though logic says they shouldn't have been.

GVE in general seems to have more aero effect than most tracks I can remember. I have done NASCAR and Camaro RM there before, a lot of the same stuff more so than other road courses.

I think it probably has to do with what Mudd mentioned, aero-push from two (or three) side-by-side cars is going to be worse than from a single car. In real life this may not be true, but I could see something like this happening in the game, intentionally or otherwise. This track breeds a lot of side-by-side racing and the average speed throughout the lap is high which could seem to magnify effects of aero-push. All of this is speculation, I have no facts to back up my comments. 💡

At GVE or just in general?

There's no aero push at the front of the pack:sly:

Maybe not directly, but when the car behind you aero-pushes into your rear bumper............

Some eye-candy, enjoy.

Nice shots Marcus. Looks like it's about to rain at Grand Valley! :nervous:

Here are the tracks I'm thinking of for the first month, using the BRZ/FR-S/86 GT:

Laguna Seca
Deep Forest-Reverse or Cape Ring South (both are quite fun in this car)
Grand Valley East
Motegi East or Motegi Full

I'll be around for some racing tomorrow if anyone's interested. 👍

Just a quick note, that I am definitely interested, and that I do intend to be around tomorrow :sly:
I surely do have an itchy right-foot, and three cars (SciToyBarus) I haven't had opportunity to drive yet.

Only thing to possibly ruin that, would be that I have the '24hour on call'-duty at work this week, and might need to act on some alerts from the monitoring-systems or handle calls from some customers.
Hopefully, it will be a quiet weekend..! :scared:

You realize, of course, that you've just jinxed yourself. :indiff:

Hope you and others can make it out for some fun racing, I should have the ORCA_Champ lounge open around 2:30-3pm EST.

Class photos from Brandon and Marcus. 👍
Unfortunately my PS3 is packed away while we do up my daughter's bedroom. So I'll either have a screwdriver or paintbrush in my hand tomorrow when you are racing. :(
Hopefully I should be back behind the wheel early next week.

I've been watching Daytona 500 practice for about an hour now...I've got an incredible urge to bang up some fenders. :mischievous:

Meet me in the lounge in about an hour and we can satisfy that urge for you. I've been want to check out Route X again, that was silly fun!!

RDA, well have a cup of tea in you're honor.

...I don't even know what that means, but I'm gonna knock back a beer or two, then I'll see y'all on the track! :D

Real men drink four loko, the drink that has been the leader in college and high school deaths 5 years running. those punks had it coming anyway. And I just jumped in the lounge.

Dude, you seriously crack me up.

I'll join you after I make a quick trip to the fridge.

That was mega fun. I think we might have to throw some go-fast parts on for Route X. Have settings sheet B maxed out with all the removable parts and use it just for that track, really make things interesting. :sly:

I will refrain from any references to "tea-bags" or "tea-bagging".... :ouch:
Just wanna say: I am in the champ-lounge.. 👍
