One make recommended from garage. Give the stewarts and oni A bit of a breather? Don't have to do schruitineering. Find equal pp cars for each tier testing etc.??

I'm not having any lockup issues Mic. Video plays fine from start to finish for me.

I thought you'd like the relive that moment. hehe

Opt3 (would love to be no tunning as I really strugle with time to work on it and to be fair, even when I do I am not good at it)

Otherwise, Opt1 as I love to see those cars on the track

We have done a recommended series before and it wasn't as good as we thought it would be.

I believe if we select one good car that is quite challenging at the same time on sports tyres we will have a good series.

Arie we have done something similar to that before and it didn't work. I think the ballast on a car that can't be customized on sports tyres is penalty enough for domination lol

All,

Thanks for the support and wishes during Robbie's hospital stay. He came home Tuesday and all is good, he even put on 3kgs while in hospital.

Got back into the GTR last night with Evan and the car turned over first time ... phew

Next Series: I like Opt 3 and 2nd choice would be Opt 2 but when GT6 comes along there looks to be a car for this series. I also know we could see GT6 next year.

Hey all,

Which option do I like?

Well they all sound good.

Option 1 - this has been a great series so if it continued I think we should be forced to change cars, I love the challenge of tuning, i think it is a big part of racing, also I like the different characteristic of each different car and using it to its best advantage.

Option 2 - I like the idea of an open wheel series as we have never done that before. Maybe we need to do some test races?

Option 3 - this is along the lines of a lot of series we have done before and if we don't get to tune then to me that is just like online shuffle races, as said before we need to able to tune the bad characteristics out of these cars.

So I guess I would go with option 2

I'm a big fan of tuning, makes up for my crap driving

I really enjoy tuning . Opt 2 sounds good besides fact fast cars low weight and ppl making a lot more mistakes less time to recover or aviod damaging someone.??

That's racing lost. Incidents are always going to happen.

Now it's looking like the one make series is the most popular choice for season 11 of the ORS.

If we go with a no-tuning series you will need to know we cannot apply ballast or BHP handicaps as the no tuning option would not allow the car to be put on track (unless im wrong on that). That would mean i won't be able to divide tiers up to have closer racing.

A system similar to what Arie proposed would have to be implemented by using tyres to even up the tiers in a one make no tuning series.

Another way would be to have 2 simliar paced cars dividing the tiers with tier 1 having a slightly slower car than Tier 2 & 3 but this would defeat the purpose of a one make series.

So right now all i need from you all is to vote on these 2 options.

Opt 1 - One Make No tuning series
Opt 2 - One Make Tuning series

Good news Moon, :)

Next season...

Opt 1 - One Make No tuning series

I do not have the time to spend tuning a car every week for the track :(

We run the tyre Tier system at OzCoMoBros HQ, it works well but our races are only about 20 min long and dont need to pit.

Opt 1 for me please.

Don't get me wrong guys, I agree 100% that tunning is part of racing and it does make it more professional (if there is such thing on online races) but I can say that some of us do struggle to find the time to get to the optimum tune.....so on those lines, I would like to get the no tunning option...it will be an arrive and drive thing.

Good news Moon 👍

Option 2.

Hey, and I was thinking today about the issue I had watching the video.

I might have done something that caused the issue myself. I was using some the time (it was a long video) to also do some 'house cleaning' of my hard drive. Deleting and moving about old files. Multi-tasking.

Now I don't really know how the memory / buffering works with Youtube, but perhaps I did something during the video file buffering that caused a glitch or error at the 51:44 point (the progress bar had fully loaded by the time I found the problem) that caused a total road-block when I got there.

I would prefer option 1 because I can't find the time or have the ability to tune a car. But I will be happy with either option providing it's one make

F40 with suspension tuning and sniffing werid stuff? Living up to my alias ya reckon... I think its an awsome car would be a crazy fun series.. lol no not comfort hards . Sport hard / mediums?? Thought it might be a whole new charactoristics drive lol o_O

ORS GT | SEASON 1 | PRE RACE BRIEFING

Round 9 we pack up our gear, leave Europe on a plane and head to Japan for a 55 Lap race around Fuji Speedway F.

ORS_GT_S1_R9_zps34c126fc.jpg

The ORS white line rule applies at all times during qualifying and racing. Pay special attention to the run off areas on turn 1 and the final turn. If you are found to be cutting corners or running wide consistently or frequently then you will be penalised by the stewards. Penalties can range from point deductions, 1 race bans and up to disqualifications from the entire ORS GT season 1. Ensure you have read all the rules in the opening post (page 1).

Regarding pit entry, i advise everyone to be careful on pit entry as crossing the pit lines while entering the pits will result in a penalty as this is seen as an advantage to reduce your pit time. You must ensure you manually navigate your way through the pit entry lane. When exiting the pits you must cannot cross the pit exit line when attempting to get onto the racing line. When exiting the pits you must remember that the car behind has right of way and give them room to enter turn 1.

If you do have an off be wary of the reduced grip level once you've rejoined the track. Also when rejoining, please aware of your position on the track relative to your fellow races. Drivers rejoining the track must give way to race traffic and not become an obstruction.

You must ensure your car is set to the ORS GT Specifications as shown on page 1 before scrutineering begins. Once scrutineering has started you are prohibited from entering the tuning screen. Failure to comply will result in an immediate -15 point penalty each time you enter the tuning screen. Failing after qualifying/race scrutineering will incur a -25 point penalty.

The following drivers need to ensure they are carrying the below ballast for Monday night.

Oni_chan - 35kgs (1315kg)
Rod_Aus - 25kgs (1305kg)

Failure to comply can results in 1 race bans to removal from the series.

Also I'd like remind everyone that the chat channel should only be used by stewards to call race restarts during a race.

Now finally all drivers must make sure they submit their tyre choice for qualifying/race start by 12pm (Sydney time) Sunday. Once your tyre choice has been submitted you cannot change it.

For those wondering about the round 7 incident report. I apologize for the delay on this as there is a lot of incidents that needed further reviews. Jase will provide the in-depth report. Thank you for your patience and i apologize once again for the delay.

Regards,

Oni
