Lost-on-drugz
So anyone done laps?

Hey Lost, I did a stint of laps on Friday night but forgot about my ballast. Did a few more late last night but ended up doing a few spot races with Mr Taital. Unfortunately, from memory we didn't get many clean laps!?

ORS GT | RACE 7 | STEWARDS REVIEW

Review notes Race 1:
GTP_Vanquish's lap of 1.00.693 on Lap 10 is not legal - car cutting inside the white line on the right hand corner to the entrance to the tunnel.
GTP_Vanquish's lap of 1.00.763 on Lap 11 is legal and stands as the fastest lap of Race 7 / Round 1.

Review notes Race 2:
Mr Taital's lap of 1.01.125 is not legal - going a fraction wide on the concrete bridging section between turns 1 and 2 and again drifting a little too wide on the third left turn after the tunnel closest to the concrete wall.
Auska611's lap of 1.01.152 on Lap 8 is legal and stands as the fastest lap of Race 7 / Round 2.

Review notes Race 3:
GTP_Vanquish's lap of 1.00.142 on Lap 4 is legal stands as the fastest lap of Race 7 Round 3 and as the fastest overall lap of the Race 7 meet.

Race incident reviews

As Oni mentioned, race incident reviews for Race 7 have been concluded. Findings will be posted prior to tomorrow's nights Race 8 start. Thank you all for your patience. As you can imagine, Race 8 produced a number of incidents for review and this does take some time to sort through to ensure that incidents are observed comprehensively and that all parties concerned are represented fairly.

Sincerely,

Jas
ORS Committee

PS - One happy snap of me bouncing off the tunnel wall entrance - all thanks to my own expertise. :sly:

ORS GT | ROUND 8 | QUALIFYING RESULTS

Congratulations on Pole for tomorrow night Rod.

That's pretty awesome to have 4 different drivers in 3 different cars separated by just over 5 hundredths of a second on a lap that takes that long!

I will try my best to join tonight. My youngest is starting to teeth (not fun) so is not sleeping very well at the moment.
Hope things are getting better in the Moon household, again, i will try my best but I do not think the GTR is suited for this track.

Hopefully catch you all tonight

ORS | GT Championship Season 1 - Round 6

There is no per lap standings happening in this video due to a corruption i couldn't locate
without having to redo the entire thing. Sorry about that boys.

Great stuff Oni. Always enjoy watching your productions. Nice capture of Aries moment and the many battles going on.

Just a heads up gents, I was hoping to get stewards findings up before the race, but it will be delayed thanks to some numbskull not minDing the gap on the way home and delaying the train.

Apologies, will get this sorted tonight or tomorrow.

Sincerely,
Jas

A slightly tricky round at Spa tonight. I missed qualifying so started from the rear but there were only 12 starters.

After messing the first corner and forcing a restart (sorry guys :S) I took Mick on turn 1 and then had a good battle for jasr and toivo only to drop a wheel and lose the car forcing me to pit early on lap 6.

From then it was more of a time trial, pitting on lap 18 for meds and taking less fuel than Mick in front of me we came out of the pits nose to tail and I took him after Eau Rouge.

One more stop on 28 for meds again and run to the flag (a few mishaps somewhere but some fun sliding also)

Congrats Oni!!

Sorry for the no show last night, my head was still spinning from work and I was pretty tired. Thought it would be safer to goto bed. I was tucked in with little Ted by 9.30pm :)

Feeling great today :)

If numbers are low I may turn up next week in the Vette

Not a problem Velly. A few drivers last night had family engagements so were unable to attend and Cac preferred to go to work rather than race so we ending up with 12. Lost couldn't make it either. The final two races should be back to the normal 15-16 drivers.

My race = pretty lousy.

I've never been too comfortable driving Spa, just always have difficulty getting a good line. Plus I hadn't put enough testing in this week so kinda knew I was in for a bad one.

Due to having very little idea of tyre life, I went in with two tyre strategies, either a 2 stopper or a 3 stopper. And would play it by ear seeing how the first set wore.

Anyway I ended up having a high speed lose and took damage on lap 5 which meant I was going to go for the 3 stopper option. I lost a bunch of time having to limp back to the pits. From then on I was just by myself clicking off the laps. I found that RH tyres were weird on this track, I needed to drive a different line around corners than with the RMs. Usually you can drive the same line, just need to adjust braking points and hold off getting on the throttle. Perhaps it was just me.

So not much to take away from this race . . . I did a good pass on Oni coming out of Eau Rouge *cough* when he'd gone B spec after winning the race, still it's easier that way.

I will need to think of a series vote.

On option 3, will the one make series be tuning prohibited or tune allowed? Would prefer tuning prohibited so its driver vs driver

I would go for option 3 if its tuning prohibited and depending on the car (not a big fan of lots of low gear wheelspin) and otherwise option 1, as I am enjoying the Lambo.

Option 3 sounds like it has good potential for a good future series.

Would be good to prohibit tuning as it does focuses more on driver ability. We wouldn't have to worry about tweaking cars for each track each week and srutineering wouldn't be required anymore.

However, you would need to restrict tyres according to tiers in order to keep the racing close. Here is a possible proposal to consider:

Tier 1 = 1 set of Mediums + 5 sets of Hard tyres (1 set of wild card Softs).
Tier 2 = 2 set of Mediums + 4 sets of Hard tyres (2 set of wild card Softs).
Tier 3 = 3 sets of Mediums + 3 sets of Hard tyres (3 set of wild card Softs).

Hey

How about Opt:4...DTM v TOURING CARS v RM v LMS RACE CARS at 620 pp.No 4WD cars.

CHEERS redness-63 (;)

Not sure if they can make the pp but here is something I had previously drawn up to have each driver have a different car but still have teams:

-Motul Pitwork Z #22 '04 or 350Z Concept LM Race Car #75 or Xanavi Nismo Z #23 '06 or Fairlady Z Concept LM Race Car #75 or Option Stream Z '04

So with a possible 16 drivers there can be 8 of the above 10 teams.

Also they are all FR I believe.

Sorry to burst your bubble boys but we wont be doing DTM. It's a huge task trying to even get a list like hatfields on parity. Let alone with just the current DTM cars as while some are close there are some that are clearly over powered in the same PP category.

Say guys, I was watching the Monza round video tonight. The one Oni posted.

It locked up at 51min 44sec.

I could select further past the 'playhead' with the little preview image above the cursor, but when released it would still only show the still image from 51:44.

Anyone else had this happen??

Also I saw you caught my moment at a little after 31mins :)
