Hard for me, not sure how i will go as the internet is playing up and keeps cutting out on me. Have to do some trouble shooting before calling telstra out. See ya tomorrow hopefully :)

Good luck with that call out lol

Great work on the video Oni. Anyone who's had a go at doing this will know this can be real tricky to get all the clips together in Iogical order, not mention having to deal with no true rewind and fast forward on the GT5 replay and serching the footage for interesting events. I think it would be helpful mentioning events to Oni at the end of the race (if u have one) that might make for good replay production. ie great battle with Taits and Rota on laps 5&6 for example. Just a thought. :)

Oni,

Unfortunatelly I've been requested to join another meeting tonight which means that I can't join you guys again :(

Based on that and the fact that there is a risk this might become a recurring thing :ill: I would like to move to a Wild Card

I would like to apologise to everyone but as you would know, there are some things you can't predict.

I will try my best to continue racing with you guys as I have been really enjoying it and it has been a pleasure and honour to be part of such an amazing racing series with incredible organization and drivers.

Looking forward to catching you all on the track as soon as possible.

Cheers

Not a problem Rod. While it does suck to have you move to wildcard im glad your remaining in the series even as a wildcard.

Hey guys, going to have to pull out this week. The internet keeps cutting and is very slow, i don't want to wreck anyone else race with lag so will just leave it this week and wait for that Telstra man lol. have a good race guys and Go Arie :)

I'll do my best for team Muscle Madness Jol! Shame both you & Rod are both missing from tonight's Tokyo grid.

Great suggestion on taking note on which laps Oni can follow for the ORS TV highlight reel. Agree that it makes the time consuming task a little bit easier.

ORS | SEASON 9 | PRE RACE BRIEFING

For round 8 we race around the famous circuit Laguna Seca, known for the famous corkscrew chicane for a 45 lap race. This race will test a drivers setup, consistency and ability to keep out of the sand.

ORS_S9_R8_zps57ff81a8.jpg

A few corners people need to be mindful of not cutting are turns 6 and turn 9. In regards to turn 1 you cannot cut out wide (where the brake markers are) crossing the white edge lines. The ORS white line rule applies at all times during qualifying and racing. If you are found to be cutting corners consistently or frequently then you will be penalised by the stewards. Penalties can range from point deductions, 1 race bans and up to disqualifications from the entire ORS season 9. Ensure you have read all the rules in the opening post (page 1).

Regarding pit exit around Laguna Seca please use common sense if you come out in front of another driver. I suggest everyone to keep left and HOLD your line. Also there is no pit exit line you need to worry about crossing on exit. Also be mindful of your entry speed to the pits. Anything faster than 80kph at the apex of the tight left hand turn will see your B-spec unable to negotiate the turn resulting in crash to the barrier and time lost.

Beware the sand. If you do have an off be wary of the reduced grip level once you've rejoined the track. Also when rejoining, please aware of your position on the track relative to your fellow races. Drivers rejoining the track must give way to race traffic and not become an obstruction.

The following drivers need to ensure they are carrying the below ballast for Monday night.

Tier 1
TT-R_Toivo - 25kgs

Tier 2
cactass - 35kgs

Failure to comply can results in 1 race bans to removal from the series.

Now finally all drivers must make sure they submit their tyre choice for qualifying/race start by 11:59pm tonight. Once your tyre choice has been submitted you cannot change it.

Regards,

Oni

ORS | SEASON 9 | ROUND 9 CHANGE

As you all know the original track Le Sarthe was removed from the calendar due to the lap time difference between the two tiers being to great of an advantage over the other tier. The ORS want to ensure racing is as close as possible between the tiers, thus the ORS have decided to replace Le Sarthe with Trial Mountain Reverse as what is a series racing Muscle cars if we don't get to race them around and through a mountain. While it's not quite Bathurst it's as close as we will get for awhile.

Without further a due below is the details for round 9.

Nice one oni, i never do well at La Sarthe so fine by me. Had a really good race last night considering no practice for almost 2 weeks and it never being my best track. Internet is all back up and running after the first Telstra guy couldn't fix it, but the second one did, amazing how much you miss good internet when you don't have it. See ya next week guys.

Hey gearheads

Well done to rota, toivo, jas on their soft tire strategy.
I tried the soft tires the next day and was able to do 1:21.7's so 2 seconds a lap better than the mediums.
I had a good race no damage or off's. But probably ran 2 laps to long on first set of mediums than i should have.

My pace was off that night but had a awesome result considering and a great last lap battle with Jase until the final turns where he binned it into the wall and red capitalised on our battle but finishing in front of Jase.

The pace.. Well on hards i managed 1:26 mids, Mediums into the 1:24 lows so would guess softs would of been around the 1:21 mark.

Hey gearheads

My race at Trial mountain reverse .

Got a slow start and john hassled me for 3 laps .Had to let him passed or it would have ended in tears. While chasing john i had a high speed moment coming onto the pit straight i managed to save it but arie got passed then on lap 7 i hit the wall coming off turn 2 and got front left damage.Did not want to waste my medium tires so i kept going, i was able keep up a good pace and did not loose much time to john then arie hit the wall coming off turn 2 on lap 12 and i lost a couple of seconds with that, arie pitted on lap 14,john and i pitted on lap 20, from lap 20 to lap 35 i kept doing good consistent lap times on the hards but it was lonely i pitted on lap 35 and so did john i came out of the pit 6 seconds behind him and by lap 40 i had court up to him then from lap 40 to lap 46 we had a epic battle then on lap 46 i had a high speed moment coming onto the pit straight lost control and smashed into the pit wall and got massive damage ,i creeped around to the pit and put hards on and ran to the finish passing jasr right on the line to take 5th.

EPIC BATTLES John WELL DONE
