Hey
For those of you who may have had the same problem as CAC i was in first place, VH MIK moved over and let me passed but MRTAITAL did not so i was stuck behind him for 2 laps with toivo catching up and then 2 laps stuck behind CAC. I had to fight my way passed them which in the end cost me lead.

Just a comment here red, ORS rules state
"Regardless of position when overtaking the car in front has the ownership of the racing line"

Cac and I were not defending the line (except the the incident with you and Cac), but taking our normal line into the corner, you were sticking your car in a spot it wouldn't fit and you hit me a few times doing it, please keep in mind that Cac and I were racing for position and I did pull out of the way on the straight when i realised i was then holding you up, up until then I believe we were on similar pace.

If you wish to get the stewards to review it then you are more then welcome to do it.

As Mrt said. If you don't submit a report to the stewards we might not see it during our race reviews. If you believe of wrong doing then PM Jase and I with the race and lap number.

I did witness a lot of silly moves under brakes and of crowding the corner which i remind you all that just because its a sprint round it doesn't give you the right to push and shove your way around the track and opponents. If such attitudes continue i will be forced to remove sprint rounds from future ORS seasons.

This would be disappointing as I believe Willyco and myself were the driving force behind the sprint round idea, last night in R3 it made for some amazing racing and quite a lot of crashes which was disappointing, people need to remember the strengths and weakness of the cars around them as well as their own car when your behind someone else.

Hi all.

Apologies again for such a poor effort last night. Especially cac, hat, jol, arie and vhmik.

Without going into to much detail, all three races were a disaster, I went into the first race with high expectations after qualifying well on hard tyres. I quickly found out that meant diddly squat. I really struggled to avoid running into the rear of the lambos, and got real nervous around them, they seamed to pull up really fast and then rocket out of the corners and then brake hard again, totally my fault in running into them, just couldn't get to a groove. Each race ended up in me pitted twice and the just running around in the rear of the pack wondering what went wrong.:indiff::indiff::indiff:

I did find the opening laps "agressive" which I think threw me (as Monza was very relaxed!) This really caught me out in race 2.

Arie - As per previous seasons when ballast was introduced we combine all 3 races total points minus fastest laps and pole position points (as this indicates their performance during a round) and those with the 3 highest points are classified as podium finishes.

Based on the above that would mean the podium result for round 7 is as follows;

1st - TT-R_Toivo | 186pts
2nd - asuka611 | 166pts
3rd - Oni_chan | 160pts

It's been this way for awhile now so I'm assuming you brought this up to help newer drivers to the ORS in not thinking the rules are made up on the fly.

I believe Jol came 3rd in overall points that race by only 1 point to Arie. Jol being 175 and Arie being 176. Unless i made a mistake with my maths which as you know happens. Then i apologise for that mistake.

Oni, Don't worry mate your calculations were spot on (as always). No need to apologise.

I'm happy with your decision and completely understand. You can't go changing rules on the fly midway through seasons. Hopefully its just something you can consider for future seasons and should only refine an already fantastic season setup.

Recognition from Licthi is a high recommendation as he is an Official Core Member from the PURE race series. For those who want more info on this here is a link.

Keep up the great job you (and Jase and Cac) are doing organising all of this!!!

@Ev, No problem there mate. Only recieved minor damage in Race 1 from that minor touch and that didn't appear to effect my car.

See you all soon at Spa.

Interesting to read that in GT6 there will be a GT3 spec AMG SLS, my mouth is literally drooling. If anyone has watched the Bathurst 12hr or the Australian GT series then i'm sure you share my thoughts :P

Yeah they stopped development, may come back with all the changes in management now.

Even DTM have a 2013 game for PS3

Hi all,

Been a very long two weeks and still in the hospital with my son. We will be home Tuesday or Wednesday so I'm out for one more week.

ORS GT | SEASON 1 | PRE RACE BRIEFING

Round 8 we head back to Europe and over to Belgium for a 38 lap race around the famous and much loved Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

ORS_GT_S1_R8_zpsb4e7a9d4.jpg

The ORS white line rule applies at all times during qualifying and racing. Pay special attention to the chicane before the finish line and corner coming onto the back straight. If you are found to be cutting corners consistently or frequently then you will be penalised by the stewards. Penalties can range from point deductions, 1 race bans and up to disqualifications from the entire ORS GT season 1. Ensure you have read all the rules in the opening post (page 1).

Regarding pit entry, i advise everyone to be careful on pit entry as hitting the wall while entering the pits can cause your b-spec driver to become stuck like a scene out of Austin Powers. When exiting the pits the B-spec driver tends to throw you out into the path of drivers coming out of turn 1. I suggest everyone when exiting the pits to apply a little steering to the right to avoid the B-Spec release causing an incident. Remember the car behind has right of way when you exit the pits.

If you do have an off be wary of the reduced grip level once you've rejoined the track. Also when rejoining, please aware of your position on the track relative to your fellow races. Drivers rejoining the track must give way to race traffic and not become an obstruction.

You must ensure your car is set to the ORS GT Specifications as shown on page 1 before scrutineering begins. Once scrutineering has started you are prohibited from entering the tuning screen. Failure to comply will result in an immediate -15 point penalty each time you enter the tuning screen. Failing after qualifying/race scrutineering will incur a -25 point penalty.

The following drivers need to ensure they are carrying the below ballast for Monday night.

TT-R_Toivo - 35kgs (1405kg)
asuka611 - 25kgs (1405kg)

Failure to comply can results in 1 race bans to removal from the series.

Also I'd like remind everyone that the chat channel should only be used by stewards to call race restarts during a race.

Now finally all drivers must make sure they submit their tyre choice for qualifying/race start by 12pm (Sydney time) Sunday. Once your tyre choice has been submitted you cannot change it.

For those wondering about their incident reports. Jase will provide an in-depth (to a degree) report later on. Thank you for your patience.

Regards,

Oni
ORS Committee

Hey Moon, Really hope your son is doing better at home now. Look forward to having you back on the track as soon as you're able to mate.

Oni, Put me down for the Mediums tonight please.

Toiv, Well done on the No.1 finish in the Nissan GT-R N24 GT Academy: Nürburgring 24h Time Trial Leader Boards!
