Yeah I never thought of dropping down the power...good idea. Perhaps during a test session or a short test after a scheduled race would determine if it's a problem or not and a quick remedy could be found.

I hadn't thought of that either!
Of course most of the cars that I find this problem with are simply too low power to be dropping the power. :lol:

Only way to find out for certain is with at least 3 cars test drafting, I think, no?
 
Put me down for the #3 Black/Red if it's okay having the same number as someone in the 5pm division.

I'm still planning a race at Indy Super Speedway on Saturday, it would be the perfect time to find out.
Also I believe a 4 car draft test will be more efficient.

I can do that. I do not have a problem with 2 drivers having the same number, as long as they are not in the same series.
 
OK, I got a message from akmuq who explained me how I can get bought DLC on my second PS3 and that worked.

So, sign me up for the 5pm series (5.30 pm would have been easier for me, but I think it will go). When do we start?

My car is red and I prefer number 12

Checked my garage and found the car wasn't broke in. Took it to Indy to check the top speed and I was able to hit 240km/h running alone, before break in, and the top speed on the stock tranny is 265 km/h. The rev limiter will probably be an issue at Indy.

Note: Sorry for the triple post. The above 2 kept disappearing on me when I came back to the thread.

Yea I am guessing the limiter will be an issue, but most likely not until the end of the straight, which is why we are testing tomorrow in order to figure out if and how much we need the power limiter. 👍
 
Great fun testing today Johnny and greest. Should stilll be good for another 5pm test session, but may be a little late.
 
I'm gonna have to change my entry to this

Good clean racing Ace and Johnny, we had a great battle amongst ourselves for that first race. Take this as anybody on the fence of competing, you will not have a bad time.

Sorry, we really didn't race you that much in the race I was referring too. The first race at the short track was the one I was talking about.

1. Removing the restriction of only racing in 1 series.
2. Possibly adding a Friday night time slot.
Thoughts?

The early test session could have used more competitors, but I think we learned some stuff.

2. what time friday night? and that would be good for us or at least for us to split it up depending on what time it is. (us = myself & miata_1) (when I say depending on what time it is, if it's earlier then I would take the Friday & he'd take the Sat. If it was late he'd probably take the friday & I'd take the Sat.)

Yes I like both ideas. I might prefer the night slot anyway. I'm sometimes on call 24 hours a day and never know when I have to work so making it at any time is iffy for me. I'm often out of town on Saturday's too. I'd also open up the field to 12 drivers at least. Even with 12 registered, you usually only get 8 or 9 at most that can make the race. With a field of 8 you might only see 4 or 5 at a race which isn't nearly as much fun as 8 or 9, especially at these ovals. Indy or Motegi can handle 12 cars easy.
 
Afraid I'll have to withdraw my entry as the Thunder series is starting up again; I'm part of GTP NASCAR so that has to take centre stage I'm afraid. Good luck with this guys 👍
 
I would be interested in a Friday slot. Depending on start time, I wouldn't make every race, but would make some. I would say open it up to those that want to race in as many time slots as possible until you get fuller fields.
 
I would like to try the friday slot if it starts around 6:30pm to 10pm cst.
I'll be running Gun Metal Grey and #52
 
Major Updates
I have added a Friday time slot at 10pm est.
I have removed the restriction of only racing in one series.
Still debating about number of drivers, I guess I just need a little more convincing that 12 is better.
