Sorry guys, just realised i was at 615pp. Must have exited setup without saving my tune. No wonder it felt slow.

I need some psicological support, this is getting me crazy:crazy:

I´m not a bad driver, maybe not one of the best, surely not a natural, but not too bad.
Daytona is with Fuji my favorite track and probe of it is my 8th position on IFTC time trial, it did coast me a lot of laps and hours (i said i´m not a natural) but at the end i went below 55:xxx.
I love the GTLM and i´ve been driving on it so much along the time.
This afternoon i´ve doing some testing and changing setups until to reach my aparent top.

Then, why the hell cannot i go faster than 1:48.6xx on one lap (hardly) or finish an entyre race where i´ve have started 2nd and i´ve been alone from the very beginning in less than 9:09.xxx

Please, i need help.

Personally I don't know how quick the GTLM can go around Daytona, as I wouldn't dare driving the thing on S2's with a controller lol. I'd imagine it is only capable of running 47's though, or pretty similar to the California.

I suggest you hop into the GT-R and see how quick you can go! 👍 A 1:46.xxx is a solid lap time, while anything under the 9:00 barrier is going pretty quickly. Good luck, and let us know how you do!

Oh my god, there's actually no one racing?

A race of 6 cars, then a race of 3 cars.

Big contrast to last night. Typical, girlfriend was round last night annoying me, now tonight she is at tap-dancing, no one is on!

Well i've been fine tunning the GTlm in free run, i've got rid of the passenger seat, the dust caps, the fluffy dice, hell even the suitcase stuffed with my girlfriends not stop complaining body as been dumped and i can still only get a 48.6

EDIT if you come across a talking suitcase by the side of the road, walk straight pass it...then run in case it follows you, it's got wheels

I´ve already done that and it took me half an hour to be doing 47's, but i refuse to use that car.

Now that i´ve seen last Wannabe post i understand i´m not goig as slow as i thoght, becausse i haven´t rid out of all that he did and we are doing almost the same.

Oh god, now i see the reason, air conditioner was on

Turn the stereo off and close the windows:sly:

I only managed a 1.49.xxx laptime with the Ferrari California. :nervous:
To all drivers using Rear-Wheel-Drive cars on this event, what was your fastest laptime ? And using what car ?

Cheers. :)
JP, you kicked ass in the GTLM, tried to keep up but it was pretty hard. I think I can do 1'48 in the Cali but it requires some really weird driving on my behalf such as very early upshift from 2nd to 3rd midcorner.
Actually GT-R drivers are becoming annoying in their chase for the lap times :grumpy:.
I'm using Ferrari 599 and almost always somebody hungry for win punts me. While braking or while exiting a corner .

And this people don't wait for you. They are chasing other GT-Rs and ruin all your race. For example I was chasing a guy driving a corvette when GT-R punted me out of the road and continued his run. My battle with this guy was totally ruined :-(.

I understand that GT-R is more stable ect. and I'm kinda slow in Ferrari :indiff: ( best lap somewhere~1.50.xxx ) but still you need to overtake me cleanly ( for somebody it seems a hard task because they are relying just on the 4WD and their driving lines aren't accurate ) even if your fellow driver has already overtaken me.

Anyone else ? Somebody ?
Let us hear more about some good laptimes using Rear-Wheel-Drive cars, for example, Forld GT LM Spec Test Car, Ferrari California, Ferrari F430 06, Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo, Corvette Z06 Tuned, etc.
I understand that by using these cars, finishing as first at the end of the race will be harder, but hey, that's what makes it more fun. The challenge.
Could it be that all good (fast and clean) drivers are just using ALL-Wheel-Drive cars on this event ? :)

Hmmm RWD.... UUUmmm 1.50.9xx with my F430 tune... for the rest I havent used many RWDs on Daytona... mostly the Mines and Nissan GTR or sometimes the Lotus 111R tuned.. 👍 ... theres people that go faster of course with these cars... but this is what Ive done up til now.. Im most competitive/consistent with the Mines... most likely because its my favorite car to drive as well

Actually becausse that i refuse to use the GT-R.👍

What i first said on this thread about people driving GT-R it was only about those not having enough and going into the races with 648p.
I love starting on last position if still is on my hands to win, but if you already know the first one is one of those, he´s got to be damn useless to allow you to win, if he is not, no way man.

I have been racing this event a bit and although I am not really fast enough to win, I would never resort to running below max pp to get an advantage, it is very annoying when people do it, the GTR doesn't need an advantage.

I don't understand why they don't make lower pp start last, it would solve the problem.

or they should make the AWD cars have more PP then the RWD/FWD cars because you need to drive those its not just full throttle all the time

The PP levels definately need looking at further, as AWD does hold too bigger an advantage, the whole point of PP is to level the field a little.

i was racing a guy last night Turbo98 is his sign and he started out with a skyline tuned to 646 and with the F430 i could not keep it to the floor exiting courners like he was. There were 16 people and i came in 2nd he was like 15 seconds ahead of me in the end :nervous:

Wish I could be on - but working at the moment(well actually posting).

That does mean that I am fast - would like to chase you though. :)

i've had a late 1:49 in the skyline coupe TUNED BY GT.which i think is pretty good because i dont see no other people driving that car & its rear wheel drive too.
i never ever ever ever use the GTR lol its to easy, but dont get me wrong it is a killa when braking into T1 at daytona.other than that the car is like god :) but its not me still 👍

And I've hit a 1:52 in the GT40 test car TUNED BY GT a good few times 👍

I'm watching a film now.

But if anyone is about tomorow, I'll be getting intoxicated and be filming Daytona all night!!!

Getting low 1:50's with the Ford GT (road car), struggling with the chicane

Well, first of all welcome to GTPlanet. 👍 It depends on what tune you have for the Nissan GTR. I've tried two different tunes for the Nissan GTR, the first tune I used, I was getting consistant 1.48's and then the second tune, I was getting consistant 1.47's. :)

well tbh i havent really touched the settings too much just done the usual stuff like power/weight and gear ratios but after that all i have done is increase front torque to 35% and upped the front brake bias by 1. not too sure where to go with the suspension as the car seems to have good balance but maybe it is lacking in ultimate apex speed. thanks for your welcome btw. :)
