For all you guys arguing about update or dlc. Here is my interpretation:

Dlc is an optional extra that you need to visit the (in the case is gts) ps store to get - free or paid.

An update is something that happens automatically.

With that in mind I see this purely as an update and not dlc.

So that is an aspect I had actually not considered. It is still potato, patahto to me though.

Okay, I know they wanted to make Tourist Trophy 2, but I thought it's gonna be a bit... different...

Oh, okay. Sorry, :guilty: I haven't played GT3.

Don't worry! Me too! :P However I did play the GT Concept version, which is a GT3 but in smaller numbers and featured some additional concept cars. I just remember have seen that mode before and I was right. I did know about GT3 from walkthrough video though. The only GT I've spend playing most of the time is GT4 👍.

Tried to use my TH8A with T-GT and apparantly doesn’t work anymore (works in other games). I remember it working a few weeks ago! Did it get broken in a recent update? Does anybody how you report a bug to polyphony? Anybody have the same issues? Hopefully it will be fixed in this update!

I was a huge fan of Tourist Trophy on PS2, so much so I went out and bought an ZRX1200... and sold it about 2 months later, because it was wayyyyy too fast and I just knew I'd eat it sooner or later.

Anyway, my mind is blown! A game developer actually listening and dropping a free update with this much new content is kind of unheard of these days, though Massive has done some similar things for the Division, but man great job PD, right when I thought about giving up on GT Sport...

I know what you mean. But Tourist Trophy you mentioned here is actually a tribute to original TT campaign in GT3 :

Wikipedia
The Audi TT takes its name from the successful motor racing tradition of NSU in the British Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) motorcycle race.

History is everything! Especially when you can claim it as your own... :D
There was also the RAC TT for cars.

Notice how it says "Touring Trophy" in the new image at the bottom, but Tourist Trophy at the top. That's nothing new for PD, either.
Still eagerly awaiting more hints of TT2, though.

Just up the road from my place in Spain. Beautiful town.

The road from Marbella to there is outstanding too. Just wish my wife wasn't a nervous passenger and the hire cars weren't shod with economy rubber that just loves to give up grip mid corner doing less than 25mph.

In the PS blog post it shows the 3 free cars, one of which is a AC/Shelby Cobra...

I'm beginning to think that their doing what they did in GT5 with the PS2 era 'standard' cars. This time they might be upscaling the 'premiums' from GT5&6 for use in GT Sport.

Whether they are or not, it's nice to know we may be seeing some classics coming into the line up.

We'll see soon. I'm sure we will see decent comparisons from @emula , right?

I saw that post of his yesterday. It definitely looks like their using the same meshes from the models in GT6. If this is how it's going to be with new cars releasing every now and again, it'd be nice if it was done on some kind of schedule, like monthly. I guess we'll find out sooner or later.

I noted that they said they're planning to release about 50 cars by March. They're due to release 12 in December after the 3 tomorrow. My guess is the December release is planned for just before Christmas (I'm going with Monday 18 December).
I think that number of 12 is key. 12 in December, 12 in January, 12 in February, 12 in March plus the 3 tomorrow would make 51 cars in total. I'm only guessing but it fits all the facts.

To note, this event was also in Gran Turismo 2. Though, it wasn't called "Tourist Trophy", just TT challenge or something.

Like, why there’s no tuning shop, no wheel shop and no paint shop.
Huh? I'm confused by this statement. Isn't there a livery editor and customizable wheels in GT Sport?

I hope this will fix my bugged FIA races if it dont I might as well as give up doing them.. I've bought new ethernet cables had them out to test my internet and they can't find any thing wrong

Hate to be "that guy" but I'm pretty sure the single player isn't coming today, Just for clarification that drops in December.

Yeah you're right. It is supposed to be the new 3 cars added and some tweaks. GT League slated for December (1.07 update) :

Update 1.06 content (planned for 27 November 2017)

1. Campaign Mode, Scapes, and the Livery Editor features will become available also when offline. (However, an online connection is still required to save game progress).

2. Some elements of the car physics simulation model have been improved. This can be noticed especially in commercial cars, which exhibit less grip on the road, with improved sense of realism and controllability.

3. In line with the changes above, we have adjusted the difficulty level of the Driving School and Mission Challenges in the Campaign Mode, to allow a smoother game experience.

4. In Sport mode races, the judgement algorithm of the Sportsmanship Rating (SR) has been improved. Furthermore, it is also now possible to see the deductions of SR points not only for yourself, but also for other drivers involved in a collision/incident with your car.

5. ‘Autumn Leaves’ has been added to the featured Scapes photos. Some new photo spots have also been added.

6. The following 3 cars will be added to the game as free DLC:
・IsoRivolta Zagato Vision Gran Turismo (Gr.X)
・Audi R18 (Audi Sport Team Joest) (Gr.1)
・Shelby Cobra 427 (N500)

If you're going to swear quite as much as you do in your videos, please put a language warning when you post them here:
GTPlanet Acceptable Use Policy
You will not use profanity in the forums, nor link to content which contains offensive language without sufficient warning.
And your internet problems are almost certainly a configuration issue. In order to fix it on here, we'd need a great deal more information than you've been conveying in your posts. This would include ISP, connection type, package, location, router type, internal connectivity in the property, DHCP, NAT type, DNS, and upload bandwidth, download bandwidth and ping.

There are some basics you can take care though. Firstly, make sure everything that can be hardwired is hardwired. Then assign static IP addresses to all of the network devices in your house (both on the device and in the router). Then set the PS4's IP address in the router's DMZ. That gives you a fighting chance and is everything that's within your control. Other than moving house or switching ISPs.

Yeah I figured it best to point it out before the update drops because there seems to be a lot of talk of the single player right now but its the best part of a month away and probably in a separate patch, I think its better to clarify things so people don't come crying asking what the heck PD were doing not adding them etc etc.
