There is absolutely no reason they can't and should have done both.It will be GT7 but at the expense of GT Sports serious online racing ambitions. The fan base want GT7. I will go to iracing for the proper online thing and use GT7 for a more casual play sometimes. I think it's a shame they have failed in there ambitions but hats off to them for trying.
It looks like a copy and paste of most race games. We won't know until we see how they're structured but it's offline racing. Run the AI off of the road and chase the rabbit. Rinse repeat.
Why would I look at your old posts? I don't know you, remember?
You haven't been able to tell me what you want from an offline campaign. Other than using descriptive words reserved for sandwiches ("Fresh", really?) you haven't had much of a specific opinion. The tuners, they know what they want. You though, I don't know what you want and I just find your complaint to be thin and unreasonable.
But hey, you're entitled to it, but I just don't know what you mean.
Only 10-20 lobbies online globally at any given time, Sport mode struggling to properly match full lobbies of each rating, sales totally nose-diving in week two, I doubt this will this will make any different, it's too late, this game is a relative flop (compared to the others).
it may be a relative flop compared to others but for me its good, because you can concentrate on a player base that actually likes the way the franchise now wants to go. so for me its okay the way it is, as i dont miss career mode at all. just give me a really nice multiplayer with rewards and a wide enough range of tracks and cars to customize some free play races. i found myself yawning at the fm7 career mode, so its cool to see that GT tries something different
Good point, but will it be profitable?
Oh for crying out loud, that is still DLC. It doesn't matter that it's included in an update. DLC is often added to games through updates anyway, you have to update FM7 for instance to have access to that game's DLC packs. The only difference is that Turn 10 put a pay wall behind their DLC while PD is just letting you have it.Those 12 free cars are part of a free update that will add single player carreer. What did you not understand?
And they call it "update" and not just DLC because they propably gonna add a patch in there too.

Yeah loot boxes & paid DLC are to be avoided. Look how long it took to get GT6 content, & parches are regular with these guys at least. Cant say the same for other companies & there shady practices.Oh for crying out loud, that is still DLC. It doesn't matter that it's included in an update. Knowing PD being so slow for anything, this was a quick turn around. The online races where always an issue, with kids trashing them. Fixing that is a must for it to be viable content, with no fixed times to race as well. How you can have a game such as GT with no career is beyond belief really. This should have been GT7 with improved online racing as the added bonus to a proper career mode we know they can do.
Slow with these guys is not a bad thing.I really don’t think PD is as slow as people make them seem. Laz was pretty vocal about how crappy the PS3 was to develop for, and they still released two games and a demo for it. GTS was built from the ground up, so I can understand the delay with that.

Yeah he did like the ps4 power & said it would be quicker to develop.Slow with these guys is not a bad thing.

Hmm, I'd never call a game update DLC. That's all it is, a game update, the additional content is just part of the update. Were the previous updates DLC? DLC for me has always been extra downloadable content, separate from the main game you can opt-in to, paid or free.Oh for crying out loud, that is still DLC. Big teams having separate teams is not a surprise. That doesn't mean they aren't capable doing other tasks at all, where they end up is up to the management obviously.
I quickly checked and spotted a job offer from PD (from a while ago) at their site for a CG artist. It mentioned both, car and course modelling amongst other things...
A complete newcomer trying to follow YT tutorials step by step has nothing to do with this.
PS+ only applies to the multi-player aspect of online gaming. It has no effect on single player gaming on or off line. They just need to give people the option to save offline now and we're good.
I don't have the game so do you need to have PS Plus to save the game or can you save without PS Plus?

Yes, it's a game update, but the game content itself is still DLC. Because that's what DLC is, additional content that you're downloading to a game.Hmm, I'd never call a game update DLC. That's all it is, a game update, the additional content is just part of the update.
I wouldn't agree to paid DLC being avoided entirely when it's brand new stuff that the developer put time & work into making. Of course I agree about the loot boxes, but only if you have to pay money for those. If it's just using in-game currency, then I don't care.Yeah loot boxes & paid DLC are to be avoided. Oh! PDI realized their premium cars are future proof finally?
All of the December cars, with exception of Chris' Nova are GT5/6 premium cars converted over. These updates seem to indicate that many of these '500' cars will not be entirely new cars but just converted over GT5/6 premiums.
Or in layman terms, PDI are doing the work they should've been doing prior to launch, but didn't because they thought their iRacing clone would sell good without said work.
