Patch 3.0 Still Buggy :-(

. But they have low tolerance for people who keep nagging or looking for rant or fight.

Hence I don't post on the official forum ;-) My continued frustration with their ineptitude would be construed as "nagging".

While you (and others) are content to happily forgive and forget the lack of progress with patching the bugs I quite frankly am not.

It is all to easy to label me a malcontent and whinger and to try and trivialise my legitimate complaints.

Also "TT92 said
the developers are doing everything they can to NOT fix it while concentrating on ways to generate more income for themselves."

.But statements like this are just not true.

So are you saying they are not releasing DLC that has to be paid for? A new one just came out last week. Have they not started asking for money so they can start PCARS2? I appears to me my statement holds credence as they are more interested in generating income and are diverting resources away from patching their buggy game. How else should I interpret the facts?

Played for 7 hours straight yesterday, doing TT,s and online. Not one problem. You guys need to look at your PS4 or reinstall the game.

My PS4 is 6 months old and Pcars continues to crash. I thought the problem had gone but it happened twice yesterday. I also had a corrupted save a while back. When Pcars is the only game that crashes i think it is fair to say the problem lies with the game and not the console.

I have PCARS on PC.

It has been very buggy for me. After each patch I would play it until something destroyed the immersion & then leave it until the next patch.

Patch 3.0 has been the first time I have managed to do more than one race before all the bugs made me give up. I came back to say when it is working right it is sublime. The FFB feels much better on my humble and ancient DF Pro. The cars really are a pleasure to drive.

On the other hand there are still stupid things happening...

Solo mode custom race;
Donnington National,
Clio Cup Cars
Weather:real (was light cloud)
all time progression:real
all aids off
fuel, tyre wear etc.. all set to real.

AI set at 70%

Practice: 10 mins
Qualifying: 30 mins
Race: 10 laps

I used all of practice & qualifying to eventually find some consistency & managed to qualify in pole with a 1.018.xx gap to 2nd place.
This was in the last 2 minutes of qualifying. So I drove round the track back to the pits and just had a few tens of seconds to wait for the session to finish in real time. I was P1 all the way to the end of the session and listed as P1 in the post session timing screen.

Then I start the race from where? 7th or 8th place! I didn't notice for a few seconds. I got a great start into 5th place and was side by side with 4th place through turn 1. Then I suddenly wondered why I wasn't in first and lost concentration big time. I crashed into 4th place, spun over the road and was left in the gravel as the pack disappeared into the distance.

So I thought I might as well enjoy the race despite qualifying having been a waste of time. So I restarted the session. Guess where I started from this time? Last!

I still very much enjoyed the driving, but how can there possibly still be bugs in the game's ability to maintain the value of a variable across sessions in an event? This is fundamental stuff, not rocket science.

Programming can be hard, but it's not impossible to produce robust, low error code. If it were, then planes would be dropping out of the sky and cars would be flinging people into ravines every day. Weapons systems would constantly be slaughtering innocents. Hospitals and manufacturing centres would be lethal zones of killing machines and radiation etc... etc...

This game is just a non-deterministic random number generator at times. They should publish a paper on it.

No and Noooooo , deleting your profile file for PS4 doesn't do the job .
Like I said before , I deleted everything profile file , game , and did a initialise with my PS4 and that my friends ....didn't do the job properly .
The game is broken for many of us ( some have luck ) but because in a way I like this game and I have no alternative until 2016 I still play the game .

Have you tried disabling the rest mode on PS4 ? or do a cold boot ( shutdown completely before each play ) ?

Alway's shutdown full the game and PS4 after I've played Project Cars , I never place may PS4 in rest mode but disabling I've not yet done after my initialise with PS4 .
thanks for the suggestion .

NO! That is the price I paid and was the RRP on release :-( Aussie are ripped off for all sorts of things in this country, software being a prime example.

Just checked, still the same price.

Read the my other posts here. The corrupted data *IS* the saved profile. Because SMS renamed the tyres, any saved set up with previously changed tyres is now considered corrupted by the game (sometimes).

Also the proof that this is not the case is the fact that the first crash back to XMB happened day one, on the brand new fresh install.

Also I have finished the whole career bar 5 races I will not delete my profile either.

100 AU dollars is £46, which is what i paid for it in a supermarket in England.

So are you saying they are not releasing DLC that has to be paid for?
You were saying they are doing that instead of bugfixing, which is just a plain lie.

Again, no one says you have no right to complain. But the attitude you display here towards people trying to genuinely help you is absolutely abysmal, as is the constant lying and suggestive remarks.

Im sure this buggy mess is down to SMS not working together...Most of them work from home with only a few that do work together. Until they actually put the team together im not sure any game from them will not be a riot.

I think outsourcing QA and not including WMD post-release were bad moves and I'm not too happy about them handling no less than four games at the same time. Though they appear to be focusing on one thing right now: Project CARS 1.

Which are those four games? I thought it was already bad enough that they were releasing pCARS in so many platforms, the problem being maybe not being able to dedicate enough resources for every single version to be well polished and bug free.

OK,so bold capping me with no is your answer. Is your internet good were you live? Look, for all your posts about this, you would think a fresh install would solve your problem. Either your stubborn or a masochist. Anyway I'm going to play, have a great day.

I think @TT92 only plays offline career ?

Correct. I spend very little time in online lobbies since all of my friends have stopped playing this game.

Is English your second language? Because you display a lack of comprehension for what I write. You are also being very insulting towards me which I have let slide (for the moment).

You expect me to be considerate and polite towards SMS because they (according to you) are trying their best and are not coping very well with all these broken consoles and faulty PCs that a lot of people are using (apparently). Well here is a news flash, I choose not to. As a very disappointed, retail customer, who has a faulty product I wish to complain and share my frustration in an appropriate way, on a non-aligned public forum.

Ironic that you remark on someone's comprehension after they mention your attitude towards people here trying to help you, and your response to him focuses on your right to be inconsiderate and impolite towards SMS. Looks like you have a comprehension problem yourself.

Well time for the old ignore button for him.

Sadly in the same boat and most of the friends i have that tried to switch to pcars went bsck to gt6.

Can't express how pissed i am about this.

I'm sure more people went back to GT6 because they didn't have to upgrade their gear, that game has more issues then Greece's finance!

He will just " keep doing the same thing over and over and expect different results" I think there is name for ....!!

I find very funny this whole "they are working hard to fix it!".

There are several bugs which SMS said they fixed and those bugs still happen.

So, either they are not working that hard or they are overwhelmed by the game they created.

I'm thinking the second one. Which makes me 100% sure they won't sort the big issues.

Just like in Shift days.

But, hey, that one dlc per month doesn't skip a beat.

I think it's definitely not the first. The second I'm not so sure. I see a lot of regression with each patch, on basic stuff. It was better when WMD was still in place. WMD can't catch console-specific issues of course, but it surely would have caught the basic stuff like control issues and profile corruption.

I certainly wouldn't mind if SMS released patches a week or two earlier on PC before submitting to consoles, so PC players can weed out the obvious issues. And I'm quite sure the console players wouldn't mind either.

For PC2, this process will probably be better, but that doesn't help anyone at this point in time.

Well time for the old ignore button for him.
I would, but it also hides this whole thread for you, and I still think interesting things are being discussed and reported here.

Exactly, I couldn't care less how someone responds towards SMS. I do have a problem with blatent lies and twisting peoples words right here on this forum (which probably also violates the AUP, but I'll let the powers that be decide that).

They should stop all car and track modeling immediately because that'll get everything done so much faster.

I'm not constantly complain, but patience has its limits

Before the game come out to market, the excuses I read because of the delay is that they were polishing the game lies so. The game went to the market far from polished, with mistakes and failures to very basic. Simply serve to promote the game, creating hope for investors, and serve beautiful teasers to buyers.

After all this time, we have people frustrated with the game, other than hope and patience is over. And the funny thing is that immediately after already speak the Pcars 2 !!! consumerism and capitalism to function. While there are supporters of this type of behavior, there will be more of these situations.

They made a mistake, which was identical to the GT series, changed the physical in the game, which involved a lot with the car already prepared, and complicated the work of those who make tunes.

This all contributes to a players point of departure to get bored with this whole process and leave the game. However the delay was to polish the game ... Who has a product too late compared to what was announced several times, and says the delay was to improve the game in detail, and did not, should be penalized. And it is up to customers.

Simply they lied, for purely commercial reasons. And are not the only ones to do.

I agree with your thoughts, but time to move on,this is beyond what is normal here. But hey,it is what is is. If it was GT bashing well that's another discussion.

So let me ask a question? Did you respond in the same fashion about a game that still isn't even close to what was on promised the back cover?
All PS4 games are crappy, period. Glitch, bugs, crappy online,I could go on for hours. Save some time and headache and fill up the Devolopers inbox.

I disagree. Wolfenstein is a brilliant PS4 game (no online) and I have the platinum in that. COD AW has a very good career mode with minimal online issues (apart from inconsistent lag).

The only PS4 game I have trouble with is PCARS.

Wow,just wow. I'm sure your going to get a whole boatload of help.

I do not require help, I require SMS to fix their faulty product.
