So done the initialbla bla bla on my PS4 reinstall the game and hope I could do a normal race  what do you think guy's ?

Yes my best friend BUG is back :indiff:

BUG to report ,

Car :Ginetta55 GT4 Nr 90
track ; Sakitto
weather ; clear
Tyres ; soft have way used
Laps ; 60
Fuel ;72
issue ; after 19 laps my car turns around and do little dance so I could see all the corners of the game sky and ground .

Damn it was a good race .

Project Cars thank you and I accept this BUG with humbly respect and a big smile thank you ones again .

Edit another racer ROH in my online race had the same problem as me at sakitto .

That's just like the invisible wall bug BUT in slow motion :-(

This is getting is off topic, but I had a chance to try AC last week (on PC) and I did not like it at all. I did not encounter any bugs, but hey, PCars is almost bug free for me too....
You lucky one ...at least one of us can play the game without any issues.

Yeah.
I wonder if it might have someting to do with the use of PS4 ?
I use it only for PCars, nothing else on the disc.
It stands free, on an aluminium plate.
I can hear the fan, but it has never gone in overdrive or made excessive noise (like I read some people having issues with).
I did not rebuild the data base, qi never re-installed the game. It is there since I bought it.
Apart from 3 crashes to XMB (after patch 3) and some problems in the pitlane (and getting DSQ'd for cutting track) and a lot of times losing all FFB before the first patch, I hava had no problems with the game (+360 hrs now)

Just a few questions please:

How much tuning do you do?

Are tyres set to "Automatic By Weather"?

What wheel do you use (or controller)?

How far through career are you?

How old is the PS4?

I just want to test a theory here, nothing sinister at all.

No, no, I see your point. There has to be a reason why some people don't seem to suffer from bugs and others seem to suffer a lot. I latter case I would not be happy either, I understand completely.

Tuning: I have driven most cars in stock version the first 3 seasons. From then on I started tuning them, mostly suspension and brakes. Some of the cars a complete make-over.

Tyres: I use both options, sometimes Automatic by weather, sometimes I choose myself.

Wheel: Thrustmaster T500RS, pedals also, and TH8A shifter (switching from H to SQ depending the car. If the car has paddle shifters, I use them too.

Career: just started season 7 in Ginetta GT4. As far as karting and Formula goes: only invitationals. I did three seasons Clio Cup and then started in GT3 / GT4 / GT5 teams. Did all the endurance races the game threw at me.
Alle races full time practice / qualification / races.

PS4 is from May 2nd, 2015, only use is PCars, no other games.

I disabled penalties for long endurance races (before patch 3) since I got some not deserved DSQ's.
Now I enabled them again. Switch between full damage and only visual.

Started with AI at 60, switched quickly to 70, and last two seasons at 86%

Playing time is between 2 and 6 hours/day.

Two important points I have gleaned from your posts. You are starting to get crashes back to XMB after Update 3.0 and you have a very new PS4. Apart from that we are very similar in most aspects regarding the game itself.

My PS4 is from the very first shipment to land in Australia and my HD is over half full with other games and apps.

Had 2 crashes back to xmb menu yesterday. Reported it to Pcars official forum. Don't mind the other bugs most of the time. But this for me is a game breaker. Also seems pretty random , looking at other posts with same problem. Hope SMS gets it sorted.

Had the usual " i tell the mechanics how much fuel to get in and they just change tires and send me out fuelless" bug.

45 minutes of race wasted >_>

I think PCars is broken...

For those on PS4 with a T300.. when the game crashes has it caused your T300 to go in one direction full lock with full force? That is what happened to me yesterday .. and I had to unplug the wheel from the USB port to turn it off.

This morning no issues even tried same car same track..
Yes!! This has happened to me a few times. It happened on Monza with GT4 Mustangs. Love driving those stangs man. There alittle tail happy but thats what makes them fun!!:D

I suspect that game rentals have existed since the mid-1990s.

In other news, a small toy has arrived - but I'm in the middle of redecorating the new "office"...

I imagine it will be some time before you report back, getting used to a wheel is not a quick process. But it's fun due to being such a game changer. Then you just get faster and faster as you learn each sims nuances.

Really curious how you think the G29 compares to the G25. The G29 is pretty much the same as the G27 (physical properties of the wheel like minimum force and linearity are exactly the same when measure on a PC), but the G25 has a much smaller FFB deadzone. IMO it's superior to the G27/29.

I already use a G25 for GT6 so it shouldn't take too long!

sadly, they are identical except for the brake peddle. I got to spend some time with one at E3 and was shocked they didn't even try and update it over countless years and simply added a third to the price and removed the shifter.

Fanatec 911 GT2, 250, csp v2 200... Great gear for only 50 more...

I also have a the same wheel (but use a T300). Would you please tell me if all the bugs are out of your wheel now. I do like the wheel very much and would like to go back to it. Also do the icons on the buttons now light up as well as they did with PS3.

Cheers.

I'm now on a CSW v2, upgraded from and Elite, my first Fanatec was 911... I was referencing it just as price point comparison and it being superior to the Logitechs.

Sad, but the new wheels were clearly some exc saying; "let's recycle the wheel and do as little as possible and set the price as the same as higher end wheels... We'll make a killing for many more years!"

I thought the Logitechs where great many years ago, but wheel periferals have come so far since then.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was hoping for a quick answer as swapping wheels over on my rig is a real PITA :-(

Regarding you G29 comments, I do agree, and think it really is a cheap "recycled" piece of junk. When everyone is going to belt drive they are still using gear drive. Noise, wear and weakness may be issues.

Any news on Patch 3.0 for XB1? As we cant get the latest DLC until the patch is released.

Indeed, I am wondering the same thing, but with Forza 6 around the corner and Driveclub in my future, I'm going to need extra hours in the day!

It's downloading now for me, but it's a big one, over 2 gigs.

The new "old and new" stangs got some tail wagg, alot of fun to drive
YES!!!! Ill be picking up that dlc this weekend. Broken game or not, its still fun as 🤬. The improvements they have made to the force feedback is great. Does anybody know if there is any changes that should be made to the FFB settings in the Main options section that improve it further? The Sliders For FFB that's in the Pit menu ive got down well. Its those other Sliders in the main i have trouble wrapping my head around. Sorry, A little of topic so lets say im asking these questions for the sake that something has changed since Patch 3.0. Should i Keep the Spring settings were there at?

Fanatec GT2 wheel here too, & all bugs gone for me since patch 3.0. Buttons light up with PS3 icons. Just make sure to put it into PC mode before you launch the game. Still can't get used to this wheel though, would much rather use my G25.

Good news. Hopefully you get some time to really enjoy the game now:tup:👍

The trick with a wheel is not reacting to the FB, you need to "man handle" the wheel. a gear driven wheel doesn't generate enough force, it's more like "twitches and notches" than a belt that "pulls and tugs". The later might suggest you allow it but don't. The more authoritative you are with a belt wheel the more sence the FB makes.

I hope that makes sence. In a real race car your wheel is a control device that effects the "seat of your pants" forces and you have a range of motion. Example, in a momentum car you can turn the wheel beyond and optimal angle and still be very much in control but the resistance from the tires scrubbing slows you down a lot.

I have an itch for a racing game (PS4), is this game any good with a controller? There is no way I can justify a wheel just yet as there aren't many games to utilise one.
