Patch NewsPS4 

I almost gave up on the patch arriving in September. So, now I have even more to look forward to than just getting off from work today. Thanks Kunos. Now hope I can thank Sony for replicating the DLC to all the PS stores.

Just breathe deep and tell yourself "It's just a game, it's just a game". :lol: There's lots of other good cars to drive while you wait. Have you tried the Escort, the Alfa GTA, or the Lotus Evora GX (GTC is just as good too)? Those are a few of my faves.
 
What a pleasure this driving experience is with a wheel. I have so many other great racing games currently but when I go to slide them in my PS4, my eyes just seem to focus right on Assetto Corsa and I end up sliding AC in instead.
I really think I am going to invest in a gaming PC real soon.

If you like sim racing that's one of the best decisions you can make. We'll be waiting for you on the other side 👍
 
I just tried a Quick Race in the Toyota GT86 and had the Mazda MX-5 and Toyota Trueno AE86 as opponents. Change the car in the replay to have a good look.

Yeah the GTC is currently my favourite car, didn't try any other versions as I went for the one with MOAR POWARRR. I do laugh when I scroll through all those seemingly dozens and dozens of similar Lotuses though. That license must've been cheap as chips! :P

The GX is basically the same as the GTC, I think there's only a few horsepower difference. IIRC Lotus helped them in the early days of development and granted them basically a full license for all their cars.

Haven't tried the Evora but did try the other two. Particularly liked the Escort. I think what I find irritating is that I can see the cars in the dealership but can't use them yet and so the game feels 'incomplete' so once the new cars arrive, I will definitely get back to it.
 
Things I've noticed they didn't correct:

- The engine sounds - the stutter on the PS4 (cockpit view) is still present;
- Switching gears on the Huayra is still broken - banging on the rev-limiter on every shift (it's like auto-clutch isn't working here).

- The doubling of the Nurburgring tracks in the track listing.
 
The tearing has compltely disappeared, from the bit of testing I did tonight. And it's also much smoother.

Undocumented bug fix:
When using the dash cam, the other drivers are now visible (at least online, but there's no reason to think the AI cars aren't also fixed).

I found one small (but very distracting) bug with BCC: the double yellow lines in the middle of the track become very blurry only a few (c. 100?) yards away from the car. I'm not bothered because I probably won't be using it much.

Yes Kunos to Kunos , Barcelona was a track where I had frame rate problems these are solved now.
Barcelone is back in business .... hmmmmm ...... but which lay out I'm gonna take on Barcelona ?.
 
Framerate is lot better, screentearing completely gone..
Tracklist with the nurburgring doubled fixed.
IA really better balanced.
I did some races in career mode and those i did,the AI cars didn't enter in box.
The sparco gloves of the virtual driver are really nice, in Ferrari they are red and black..in mercedes White and black.. Nice!

I've got the sensation that FFB is improved on wheel (mine is a T150)
Good improvement on controller and the visual wheel graduation works ok.
Liked the 3 layouts of black cat county.
And that suv maserati levante... Well.. With TC off it's quite some fun!

Now they got a good basis game with this update 👍
Now they can start to add things like calibration screen, button mapping, drag mode and drag strips, track types and grip levels..and more

Didn't pay attention to that, to be honest.

But I'm guessing no, because I'm pretty sure the root of the problem is the same in both cases.

Force Feed Back seems much stronger. I have to learn how to modulate the curb and road forces.
Have only played PC version while waiting for patch. Graphics look good to me. Still dislike bonnet view on some cars.
Ferrari 599XXX comes to mind. Looks like a 67 Pontiac Bonneville.:yuck:
