It's tragic :( , he arguably did more for car culture than any other actor and I grew up with F&F. He was good in all other films he did and had so much more to give.

It's creepy watching back the MTV awards speech he made when Fast and Furious came out, 10 years and he never would have dreamt how the franchise would have taken off and how it would change his life.

I've had a 2F2F poster on my wall since it came out, I'll never be able to look at it the same way again. :indiff:

That sign isn't a speed limit sign, it's a sign ADVISING you to slow down to that speed at the posted corner. I agree that speed was obviously a factor. If you look at the map someone posted on page 3, you can bet they came around that right hander real quick, lost it, and took out the lamp post just after the entrance to that parking lot.

I stand corrected. Quite a senseless way to go out really, a shame.

I have no idea who Paul Walker is besides the Supra guy in FnF. Never saw any of those movies.

Shame he had to die on Thanksgiving though. Poor guy. RIP.

Truly shocked!

Great actor and the Fast and the Furious movies are my favorites. He also had many other great movies, and will be missed, alot!

Rest In Peace, Paul Walker.

Thanks man, its real good knowing im not the only one feeling like this. The dude really hardened my passion for GTRs in general, when i heard the news, i feel like i'm losing someone that i look up to, a guy who i always want to meet and befriend, i really dont see him as an actor but i look him up more as someone who introduced great cars, mainly the Skyline GTR. I will never look at Skyline GTRs the same way again, more emotion attached to the cars now.

Even if you're tearing up, you're not alone.

That's the thing, he always came across on screen as a guy you kinda knew on a personal level, like a friend. There wasn't this disconnect like 'he is an actor.... I am watching a movie'.

Someone you could see yourself having a few beers and a laugh with, very down to earth.

Rest In Peace Paul Walker :(
The accident is somewhat strange, a car hits a tree or pole and gets cut in half? It' quite inbelievable but still what a shame that he passed. :guilty:
About the FnF next year movie, they probably will remake the history
with the recordings they already have and make it look like he died in the movie to make a tribute to him, and then there is two possibilities, they stop with the series or keep making them in memory of Paul Walker.
For now I would say this, let's go to GT5 and make in online lobbies a minute of silence, everyone in black cars, so that's the only way that we can pay tribute to a car lover.

Rest in peace. :(
I heard about this a few hours ago (before it got officially confirmed) and I the only thing I thought was, please let this be another hoax ... sadly, I was proven wrong.
Also, rest in peace Roger Rodas. Sad to see two car nuts die in the same accident. It makes me really speechless and feel depressed.

Like many I'm sure, he was one of the driving forces behind me loving cars, him and the F&F films were my life at some point. He looked like he had such a passion for his work.

RIP

Very sad news. I have a poster of Paul's R34 Skyline from 2 Fast 2 Furious on my wall and the static theme of his Mk1 Escort from Fast 6 on my PS3. He will be missed. :(

RIP.

I was watching some scenes of the first F&F yesterday...and then I woke up to this tragic news... he will be missed. R.I.P

Sad news indeed. Such a shame and way too soon. Paul and the early F&F movies played a huge role in my love for tuners and the Skylines specifically. To this day, I still thoroughly enjoy watching them every now and then.

Rest in peace.

Really sad when i read it this morning.

Really great actor, Agree with Robin that he did a lot for the car culture. His other films are great too, like the life and death of Bobby Z.

He was really symathic. Had a lot of carisma.

A gearhead by excellence, even before FF.

He is actually my favorite actor of the 2000's.
Really sad.

RIP mate.
Now you can drive all the Skyline you want the way you want.

(This story reminds me why I never passanger in a high performance car)

R.I.P :(

Loved all the FnF movies, can't imagine how the cast of the Fast and Furious are feeling, as well as his family.

Carrera GT got disintegrated the car exploded after crashing on a tree. They probably were going fast but supercars are NOT supposed to explode like that. The car was completely... nothing remained. Horrible.
How could that happen?
Trees don't give. You hit them, and you just stop.

Trees don't give. You hit them, and you just stop.

I confirm. I'm cured since it. Got very lucky that day that me and the passanger walked out of it alive and just bruised.

Even the best driver, public roads can bear all kind of hazards, can make the car loose grip and it's a gonner. Even at non crazy speeds.

In my case it was a draincover that was a good 10 cms below steet level, hitting my rear axle into air while sideways.

If I would have hit the tree with the side, I wouldn't be here today.

It goes so quickly.

I need to say that this
"If one day the speed kills me, do not cry because I was smiling."
-Paul Walker

makes me feel a bit better.

Specifically what? There's been some news regarding the accident but nothing concrete right now.
Besides that he was the passenger, and that the crash photos suggest that the car was going well above the speed limit - no.

They crashed next to a sign with the posted speed limit of 15mph. The car is completely mangled, so they were definitely speeding.

Yeah meant how they crashed, wouldn't think an unexperienced driver will get behind the wheel of a Car that powerful.
