if we are dreaming , then i dream its gonna be a livery editor
Might as well throw in the course maker and rumoured "sound update". I'm always open to surprises

Maybe its a good idea to just read a bit of the history of GT... Or play GT1-5?But I'm new to GT.
Quite right, @bman1984. You can't yet set up cones on the GT Arena. I stand corrected. It's a massive omission, and you should get your money back. I'll get back in my box.
Their probably having a smoke saying how complete GT6 is, when it's really far from being a complete package...Bet they aren't even at work.
GT6 did a good job of making me want a new GT game quickly as it looked like not much thought had gone into it in making it a challenge due to probably not getting all the new systems working in the game. Hope the GT formula of GT4 will be back in next GT game, where there are many events and also challenges well thought out. Until then though waiting on GT6 updates, hopefully new sound engine can make it in on the PS3, probably will be a while before there is this number of cars in a GT game so will make GT6 a good game to go back to if they can make it sound more like the real thing. AI engine that is competitive and not rubber band style will make it even better.I have a sneaking suspicion that this is the case. And frankly, I want it to be true. I'm really "disappoint" with how antiquated PS3 is compared to the average gaming laptop, and I've never stopped itching to see what Gran Turismo can be on PS4.

Don't get back in the box my friend.
I'm not as upset as many people are at this point. I'm still trying to keep positive about the game and future content. But I am one of those people that only bought the game because of advertised features. In fact, it was only a week before release when I read about car clubs and decided to go ahead and buy a PS3 and GT6. That was solely due to the idea of expanded "community" features and car clubs.
...
I'm willing to keep the faith and rather than get mad that we haven't heard anything, I'm excited for the surprise they may have in store for us.
Thank you for your kind words.
For some reason, I did not become aware of the advertising of "car clubs". And I'm not even sure what I'm missing out on. Is there a description of the GT6 Car Club function somewhere? Tried googling quite a bit but no luck yet.![]()
That's it. We should be able to do within GT6, what we now do on GTP in organizing races and series. Is this it? From the above link...
Players can create their own clubs, communicate with one another in the forums and organise race events for their members. It is possible to select from a private racing club, and a public racing club that is open to everyone. This feature will be added in a future update.
Youd lose that bet. The Japanese are among if not the hardest workers in the world. Yes the game has bugs and yet to be seen features, but that does not mean PD aren't working. Everyone wants more in their game, I'm waiting to see what they have in store.Bet they aren't even at work.
Is this it?
Kaz changed my mind pretty quickly on GT6 too, obviously, as I'm still probably the biggest GT fan on these boards. And I'm torn on running off to buy the Assetto Corsa beta, or just going back to the racing rig for more GT6. That's how good it is for me.GT6 did a good job of making me want a new GT game quickly as it looked like not much thought had gone into it in making it a challenge due to probably not getting all the new systems working in the game. Hope the delay is because they had a eureka moment and close to getting the new engines that were probably developed for PS4 in mind on to the PS3 and running properly.
I think this is where my enthusiasm for GT6 hasn't taken such a hit. Before it came out, I did a soft "embargo" of news on the game, so I barely knew anything about GT6 when I got it. I wanted to experience it with the same wide-eyed wonder I had those earlier GTs like Gran Turismo 3. Because of this, I found out by going into the dealerships that there were no used cars this time around, as in GT3, and many other things. I was a bit bummed that you still had to Pokemon the paint chips, but at least when you got one it was yours forever, and you didn't have to win or buy a car every time you wanted to paint one! That got old really quick.I'm not as upset as many people are at this point. I'm still trying to keep positive about the game and future content. But I am one of those people that only bought the game because of advertised features. (and lots more words)
"With powered-up online competition, brand-new community functions" says a lot more detail to you than I read into it. But I'm new to GT.
I'm willing to keep the faith and rather than get mad that we haven't heard anything, I'm excited for the surprise they may have in store for us. Think about it like this, when your a kid and you don't know what your getting at Christmas even though you moaned and droned and wined to your thoughtful parents (whose initial could both be PD) it was actually much better and they were in fact right.
So who's with me in the thinking that PD will surprise us with something special.
I don't know if I'm with me but I'm hoping I am... If I know what I mean???
That's it. And like everyone else, I'm hoping for a little bit more within the community update. Personally I'm hoping for a more robust leaderboard system within the clubs. Some of the best fun I've ever had in any racing game were the old car club hotlap competitions Turn 10 held back in FM2. Everybody running the same thing, working towards the same goal. Some epic battles between all the teams up and down the leaderboard. Was great stuff.
The Japanese are among if not the hardest workers in the world.
I think you're going to be surprised how wrong you are. Sure, it won't last all that long, no one in today's age is satisfied with very much. But that's more a commentary on how sad human nature is than anything.
You're going to base the judgment of an entire country and their people on your experience with one guy?Nice anecdote, but nothing I would draw any conclusions from.
You mean like talking to a clerk at a local gaming store and find out he hasn't heard of GT6 and then conclude that there was very little awareness of the game worldwide? Anecdotal like that? You're going to base the judgment of an entire country and their people on your experience with one guy?Nice anecdote, but nothing I would draw any conclusions from.
It's hardly reworking history when the entire planet was waiting to pounce on GT4 and 5 when they were released, but for GT6, it's surprisingly not that hard to find people who had no clue that GT6 is out. It's not grasping at straws, it's a very real and puzzling thing that a flagship game release is still news to some gamers. I'm just pondering the few possible reasons how it could be, and there are pretty darn few.
The japanese and east asians in general are not stupid at all, must say this as a westerner.I know what you mean. We have a guy at work, puts in 12 hour days, 6 day weeks, he is always on the go, pumping as hard as he can. No one can question his work ethic. Problem is, there is another guy who does the same job in half the time, stopping for smoke and coffee seemingly every 10 minutes.
My point? Work smart, not hard.
