PD must be doing something awesome.

Well... they HAVE to release some Senna related content at some point... they have an agreement with Senna foundation...

Other than that, I expect absolutely nothing from them...

senna content will be released in may according to KAZ himself , so not just yet.
[ of course im a fool to keep trusting the dates that guy throws around ]

I'm willing to keep the faith and rather than get mad that we haven't heard anything, I'm excited for the surprise they may have in store for us. Think about it like this, when your a kid and you don't know what your getting at Christmas even though you moaned and droned and wined to your thoughtful parents (whose initial could both be PD) it was actually much better and they were in fact right.

So who's with me in the thinking that PD will surprise us with something special.

I don't know if I'm with me but I'm hoping I am... If I know what I mean???
Despite all my vitriol, I'd like to think this too.

My (somewhat odd) interpretation of affairs:

PD is as an ageing, haggardy, unkempt man who sells ruffled books which have pages missing. He charges me for a book I like the look of, promising me that it's a very excellent book and that it'll be a lot of fun and very exciting to read. I buy the book. Afterall, everyone else I know has, and it does seem as though it will be an exciting read, judging by the jazzy artwork on the front cover... Unfortunately, the book is - imo - a little dated. Not to mention that I get to page 76 and realise there are quite a few more pages missing then the old man let on. But it's not so bad, because every now and then when, for example, I'm on my way to the local shop to buy some milk, or perhaps to the library for yet more exciting books, the haggardy old man comes along and surprises me, just like that - completely out of the blue - and hands me a wad of paper which turns out to be a few more pages of the book. I go back to installing the pages in the correct order in the book and continue reading. Sometimes, he's included the wrong pages though, and I'll be reading from one page to the next and there is little to no cohesion in the plot and so have to return these incorrect pages to him so that he can replace them with the right ones... However, when he does on the rare occasion hand me the right pages, the plot is excellent and I can enjoy reading the book, sometimes completely forgetting that it's still incomplete and that I've had to go about the inconvenience of sellotaping in the new pages in order to continue my reading pleasure.

I haven't seen the old man in quite a while... Some say he's planning something awesome... I reckon he's just looking for the rest of the pages to this book, though...

That's enough Stars Wars from me.

I think, you forgot the most "valuable" part of it..

Obi-Wan Kaznobi: "PSN credits WILL DO FINE"

Although.. somehow, I still imagine that it was Sony who came up with the great idea of selling credits on PSN. I haven't totally lost hope with PD on that.

On the other side, I could really imagine them creating us a real nice PREMIUM curiosity rover and an adequate MARS landscape. Of course, with proper stars and G-rates..

I just hope, we'll receive an update on monday that will teach us better..
If not, my "patience level" (to not cross post) will drop to negative. And thus, up to "5 - I don't care anymore.."
But, "It's not safe to hope for the best, without preparing for the worst".

I'm feeling totally indifferent about it right now..

Yeh I think tonight is an all nighter really isn't it. No choice in the matter lol

I'll have something to eat then take a break from my screen for a little read and then jump on GT6 and either look for a great lobby, or start one up myself.

I'm doing little love wees in anticipation...

I hope... But it's unlikely..

I don´t think we will be getting any "surprise" more than a new lovely Vision GT car plus some of the content that should be coming in the near future.

I will be happy to see some of the real "promises". (and hopefully the Senna content in May with no delay: possible kart track, Interlagos and some F1´s from that era, Lotus, Honda...):

Quote PD´s web site:

"Update:
These features will be implemented in future updates.

Community:

Players can create their own clubs, communicate with one another in the forums and organise race events for their members. It is possible to select from a private racing club, and a public racing club that is open to everyone. This feature will be added in a future update.

Quick Match:

This mode is for those who want to get in and race online right away. Matching is performed according to preset regulations, and the race will start when there are enough participants. This feature will be added in a future update.

B-Spec:

The B-spec mode is a mode where you give precision instructions to your driver. This popular feature from previous versions of GT will be added in a future update. Look forward to the new, more powerful B-Spec mode.

Course Maker:

This feature, available at a later stage through an update, will allow you to create your own custom tracks that can be driven in the game. Additionally, in another update we will add the possibility to generate a track by capturing the GPS coordinate data of a mobile app while you are driving that course. This GPS-generated tracks will be available in the game as playable content.

Data Logger:

This feature allows you to analyse your saved replay data to show Speed, Engine RPM, Throttle Input, Gear Position, Steering Angle, etc. in a graphical format. This feature will be added in a future update."

PS: It will be hilarious if at this point with the game "incomplete" they "give us" some paid DLC. (I got every DLC from GT5 even while I was not even playing it any more...this time I won´t get anything until they put all the content the game should have)

Really glad to see a positive thread on the top of the list when I logged in. I'm definitely most excited about the course creator update, but I don't expect that in the next update. I'd be happy with a new track and some new cars for this one, maybe community update. I'm not going to cry if it doesn't happen though, I've still got a ton to in what's already there. I don't have work tomorrow, so I guess I could actually stay up for this one. When is this possible update happening?

I'm quietly optimistic, but a part of that is I'm in it for the long haul. Another part of it is that if SONY has pushed Polyphony into GT7 production mode, there is this outside chance that within a year, I could be playing it.

GT6 for me is still such an awesome racer that every racer I touch has me coming back for more, even with all the issues and incompleteness. Gran Turismo has spoiled me on racing games. Games in general for that matter. Battlefield 4 is still in plastic wrap, and I was really looking forward to it. Until GT6 came along. And when GT6 gets updated, it'll be even better. Other racing games are admirable, and they have their fans, but I hang my helmet in GT's corner.

I'd love to stay up late with many of you guys, but I work for The Man in Washington, and my day starts rotten early. Can't even check in here because the gubmint considers videogames to be as dangerous as porn. Meh. :P

Hmmmm.... can't say I'm overwhelmed by the official update notice. Let's wait and see until after the maintenance is over though...

It's a PlayStation Network scheduled maintenance, announced throughout several online games for tomorrow, Monday it's not just GT6
