It's still better than the lack of patience and self control to release a game that has enough content to warrant a 60 dollar price tag. That's my main complaint against Forza. They stick enough content in there to keep people occupied for a while, then they do the same thing a year and a half later, charging you another 60 bucks. Then again ANOTHER year and a half later, charging you 60 bucks again! It's rediculous!

Well to be fair releasing an updated version with noteably more content and some improved/new features every few years seems pretty decent to me...

I mean at the extreme you have Madden doing a new release every year but aren't most sequal games about 1.5-2 year gaps?

I guess it's a small target to hit... too long and you risk people wondering why you didn't do more, too fast and people will think you are milking them.

pretty much and is are two different things.

I tend to agree pretty much what you will see means no major changes so don't expect them to suddenly cram the high res cars into the main play mode, double the cars on track or sneak in some crazy new cars not currently on the list... but tweaks and fixes might still occur.

No. It. Is. Not.

The demo would have been sent into certification a full month before the game was.

Alot does happen in a month.

The game went gold September 11, and the demo was released on the 24th.
Last time I checked, Forza 3 is coming out on the 27th this month, a full month after the demo.

Don't think there'll be much of a difference between the demo and full game, but they can fix up the bugs with patches.

The definitive game of the generation can't get the tail light working properly?

Killzone 2... There were many years between the two titles, and the second was a HUGE hit. But, for the most part, yes. However, I view racing games differently than that, because in a FPS (without online) you can only get so much enjoyment out of the story mode. With a racing game, I can always change one thing about the race, and it's a brand new race. I feel like I should get a MUCH longer lifespan from a racing game than most other games, (except for some RPG's).

With the time they have spent on GT5, I highly doubt that.
If Earth believes Forza 3 will be bugged to hell because of 5 issues, then by said logic, GT5 must be as well because of the few in GT5:P.

But, since you didn't grasp it, this " " equaled sarcasm. I don't believe either game will be filled with a million glitches.

Might want to look up where the California's brake lamps are in real life.

Hint: They're not within the tail lamps. ;)

McL, I have to say that Forza 1 and 2 both were the buggiest video games I've ever played. And both XBoxes the buggiest consoles I've ever owned too, but that's another matter.

Care to mention them? I'm not saying they didn't have bugs, but that unsubstantiated blanket statement smacks of hyperbole. Here are the bugs I remember from F2.
1) Garage crash. This sucked. Reportedly fixed for F3.
2) Money glitch. Was patched out.
3) Livery alignment issues. Looks like it's unfixable on the cars it affects without a total remapping of texture coordinates. I believe it's caused by errors in the UV unwrap.
4) I also encountered some mid race freezing. Given that my xbox melted down shortly afterwards, I'm not sure whether it was Forza or my dying xbox.
5) Some PI imbalances, patched out. Fixed for F3.

There may be more but most of them were patched out.

Unless you've played very few games in your time, I can't see how you could possibly say it's the buggiest you've ever played. Ever played Oblivion, or one of the numerous other games around that launched with bugs that could DELETE YOUR ENTIRE SAVE!!! Man they sucked. Could be worse, it could be one of these games.

Sorry, but the Forza 3 demo is final, gold code.

Link from Microsoft or Turn 10 please.

Well, I've actually seen that in Forza 2 as well. But what I mostly see in the demo are bots braking way too early and way too hard, and clogging turns, with all of seven cars. Maybe that's enlightened A.I. to you... but come to think of it, I hated how I had to plow through cars clogging chicanes in GTR... GAH.

Why have you experienced this, but not others?

I suppose the thing that would make you happy is for Forza fans to make comments, and the rest of us prostrate ourselves before them. ;)

Why would I want to prostrate myself?

Does it matter though. The Forza 3 demo had a million bugs. That probably means the the full game has a billion cockroaches. I hear Forza 2 had bed bug problems as well

Wow. A million bugs. Holy crap. Can you list them?

With the time they have spent on GT5, I highly doubt that.

They spent a lot of time on GT5p and GT4, and those were packed nicely with bugs.

GT5p and GT4, the PS3 and PS2 were the buggiest consoles and games I have ever used and played. :dunce: /sarcasm

You never played Frontier: First Encounters then?!

Whould you mind naming some of them, i cant remember a single one and i spent hundreds of hours with GT5P and maybe even thousands of hours with GT4.

Ah ok, i remember one bug from GT5p, a car would turn white after you switched to setup B or C and it would get back its original color when you swith back to setup A. Spec III solved this problem i guess, never had it afterwards.

A second one, the Subaru Impreza STi had issues with its tail lights, while driving through a shadow. If you brake and move your car into a shadow the lights stoped shining.

Ok, these are the only two bugs in GT5p that i remember. But i dont know a single bug in GT4.

Check out YouTube.com and Google.com. You can get many more responses from those links than you could with me. Also visit our official GT forums at playstation.com. Plenty of pinned threads discussing bugs and glitches. Endless.

But i dont know a single bug in GT4.
  • The Dodge Ram is the performance equal of a Fiat 500 according to the A-Spec points table.
  • |CRSINFO_suzukawest.
  • The Subaru Legacy has a glitched tail light.
  • The Ford RS200 has a glitched tail light (there are more as well).
  • MazdaSpeed 6 has no drivetrain (a couple more for these too).
  • Driving Mission NTSC glitch (which prevents you from getting 100% completion).
  • Toyota 7 rally glitch.
  • Le Sarthe II Hunaudières AI bug.
  • Supercharger/exhaust bug.
  • Stage 5 turbo bug.
  • Spoon S2000 Race Car RPM bug (particularly notable because it wasn't fixed in between GT3 and GT4).
  • Ford GT downforce bug.
  • VW Golf V transmission glitch
  • Mitsubishi Eclipse transmission glitch
  • Volvo 240 GLT glitch

These are off the top of my head, so if I wanted to look I could find more.

Did I get it wrong?

That is the only picture you posted that the brakes are actually being applied, so you kind of proved yourself wrong.

What is that glitch?
AI drivers, for no reason whatsoever, decide to turn left midway down the straight and crash into the wall. They then ride the wall for varying amounts of time. This includes B-Spec Bob, as well.

  • Is that the estate car? When I got the original GT for the PS1, the Subaru Legacy (I think it was anyways, it was the estate car subaru) was the car I carried through most of the game if I remember right, save for a brief fling with the Dodge Concept 👍

I hope that car is in GT5. I'm gonna load my custom soundtrack with the GT1 tunes and relive my GT1 glory days :D

Plenty of pinned threads discussing bugs and glitches. Endless.

As one of the regulars over at the US Playstation.com forums, I can tell you our 'Quirks, bugs and glitches' thread is not directly stickied on the main page (though it is in the GTIC, which is stickied)

It's not a long list. Most of it is subjective, and some of it has been fixed already. Endless... right at the number 28.

I am one of those regulars, as well as he eu.playstation.com GT forums with more issues as well. But as can be seen by google, visiting those sites and this site, it's clear there are plenty of bugs in GT games (as well as millions of other games)
