I'm going with Granturismo 5 prologue hand's down.

The Forza pics look a little flat, plus the interior isn't visible so well.
I'll go with GT5 too. 👍

Edit:
This comparison cracked me up, don't know if it's been posted yet:

He's right about the "No brand" thing, Why does forza, never include tag's on the car's?

It's funny to me as well. Although I don't get the weather part (More clouds = worst weather maybe?). Also, the speed thing is a flaw as well since GT5P is in KM/h, while the FM3 is in MPH. It's a good joke overall though. The ratio of branches to squirrels may very well be accurate lol.

I wonder what GTPlanet's very own 'Team Forza' would jump to next if a livery editor is confirmed? Damage is in so they cant dispute there. Rewind function has been laughed at. Graphics is definitely a place these guys don't want to go. Physics is a matter of opinion. Cars - x2 plus, Cars on track - x2. Sound is about the only other place bar livery that i know they have a good case for. There are probably more minor things i just cant think of but, whatever way you look at it, the 'ammo' is running lower and lower by the days.

Right, right, I know what you mean. However, I bet my life that their last and biggest defense is going to be the online portion of it - the community and such. Then base on only that, they might even still think that the FM series is still better overall. It's a never ending conclusion I tell ya.

Anyone here saw the new DLC for Forza 3? The new track is called "Benchmark High Speed Ring?" LOL. Guess PD need to copy a Forza's track name, too.

I don´t know why most of the people here "hate" Forza, its a fantastic game on its own right.👍
At least the games are released on time. Right now I´m so ansious to put my hand on Forza 3, that I don´t even think on Gran Turismo 5.

Forza series rocks!!!!

You traitor!

I just don't like the bragging of the people that present Forza as they do. Mr. Greenwalt and something like.. Wendle(?)

I like both series, but I don´t like the comments that people give to Forza.

And look at the time Gran Turismo is being made, Turn 10 released two Forzas...

PD is not going to talk trash like Turn 10. That is not the Japanese way.

When PD says they are not aware of having any competition, they already talked trash.

I'll just have to disagree, then.

As will I. I am just reading what is posted on the forums and on youtube.

With Forza 1 on the XBox, it would periodically crash. It would sometimes crash four times a day, and then go three weeks with no problems.

In my first race in FM1, the screen froze upon crossing the finish line the first lap for one or two very long seconds, and would still do it on occasion.

There are livery glitches on the surfaces of some cars which invert patterns and decals, and it's very hard to make things right, sometimes you can't.

With Forza 2 on the 360, I've crashed several times out of the blue for no reason in eleven months of play, though less than FM1 on the XBox.

Every third scroll through the garage (I pause several times, hoping it won't) causes the game to crash.

Occasionally, the Auction House will cause the 360 to crash, and if they didn't fix it yet, this can result in a ban from Live.

The physics have had to be patched several times due to bugs and unfair performance loopholes, resulting in unpopular leaderboard wipes.

The Livery Editor is buggy as an old house. After an hour of use or so, I can't rotate elements back to zero, or straight horizontal or vertical. It goes off by a decimal point, and just gets progressively worse. I have to save and completely shut down for a minute. It will occasionally crash, and all unsaved work is gone. Liveries shift around when you go out for sometimes just one race, or for a photo shoot. If you don't fix it - assuming it's not locked and you can fix it, they continue to shift around. Locked liveries eventually become a mess, and you'd better hope the original artist is in the mood to take it and fix it for you, or have mercy and unlock it. The same surface glitches on some cars are in FM2, and more.

I could go on, but I'm tired. Disagree all you want.

I disagree as well then. I never had a single one of those issues. I could go on as well, but we wouldn't get anywhere. Fact is, GT games are also packed with bugs and glitches. Just like Forza and every other damn game in the past 10 years.

Yea, but it takes Turn 10 almost as long to at least get closer to GT5's quality in terms of details like car modeling, tracks, and interiors. Forza 2 was a rush and it showed. PD could've done the same thing with GTHD (no interiors, sub-par graphics) but they decided to cancel that project.

Yes, GT still takes a longer time by around 5-6 months longer, but that is reasonable and a whole 'nother argument I don't want to bring up again.

Yeah I know... well, let's hope that we can say "time well spent" eh? ;)

Having played the Forza 3 demo, I can now see how they did that.

Cutting a lot of corners.

I'd rather a more detailed game, even if I have to wait longer for it.

People seem to forget PD also released Tourist Trophy, GT5: Prologue and Gran Turismo PSP between now and the release of GT4. ;)

This Forza 3 bashing (or should I say fanboyism) has to stop. Both games look great. The things I read here about Forza 3 are ridiculous. I bet if some of you had a 360 instead of a PS3 it would be the other way around. You would be bashing GT5 in a Forza forum right now...

Forza 2 is a 360 game, that is why you wont see a huge difference between Forza 2 and Forza 3. Both are 360 games. GT4 is a PS2 game, so of course you will see a much bigger difference. If GT6 will be released on the PS3, there wont be a amazing leap either.

Those screenshots don't FM3 justice. FM3 looks by far, much better than FM2 when you are playing it.

BTW, Forza 2 is FOR the Xbox 360, but it was developed on the Xbox 1 engine from FM1. FM3 is new for the 360.

They may have cut corners, but they may also have run into hardware limitations and/or have been focusing on other fronts. Graphics is only one aspect of the game, I think T10 have done some remarkablet things in other aspects of the game.

I don't see any difference. Actually fm2's shots look better.

Yeah..which is why you are just better off playing the game then going by those horrible images. Playing the actual game, FM3 is much better looking.

Horrible or not they were taken directly from fm2 and fm3. No photoshop, no tricks.... no nothing.
And I'm not bashing the series, it's just a fact. Even gt5p has some horrible shots.

I think the point he was trying to make is a still shot doesn't make a good respresentation of the whole. For instance screen grabs at 30fps and 60 fps would like the same, but the 60fps would be much better in action.

So you can pixel peep if you want, but the finished product may be more than the sum of it's parts.
