It should have been in GT5 according to Red Bull Blog from Dec 2010.

And I think we may expect to see the track permiered on some GT game version demoed in May 2015.
Is this speculation, or do you know more than we do?

I agree with @fortbo that Polyphony might have Pikes Peak all ready to be put into the game but having the problems of the PS3's limitation for it. Seeing GT6 had a small rash of new cars that competed in the event added in plus the Escudo being made into a high quality standard.

Plus PD gave us this little extra also...

Are PD smart enough to have recorded the times set by the cars we have in the game? Would make for great challenges.

No, no, no, please :)

The PP Hillclimb is in May 2015, so I presume we may see it premiered there - it is simply a presumption.

However, I think it may happen, because it would fit in the logic of recent track reveals being playable on events themselves, such as was with Goodwood and RBR.

Simply my subjective opinion, not an rumour.

Oh god, here we go again!

Anyway, finally there's an actual announcement about Pikes Peak coming back to GT! I mean c'mon, how is it that PD puts 5 Pikes Peak Cars plus 1 more as DLC in GT6 and we yet don't have the actual course?!

Nevermind.

They didn't announced nothing about Pikes Peak coming to GT6, but the partnership is a dead giveaway :D
Yeah, I reread it and crossed out what I posted. I couldn't edit before because the website stopped working for me a few minutes ago.

Reminds me of when Lucas Ordóñez said there were so many so many tracks coming to GT6 that it would "blow our hats off". Sony/PD must have realised that GT6 would suffer from the PS4 launch and decided to hold back content until GT went next gen. I think this announcement is a good indication on either when GT7 is being announced or when they're hoping to launch the game.

Having said that, I'm really interested to see what the next update will include. Kaz said they had some big updates coming for GT6 and since they haven't released any content for close to two months I think it's safe to expect a few of the "coming soon" features like community, b-spec,etc will make an appearance.

I'd more than happily trade Sierra for this.

On a side note: Porsche has been all over Pikes Peak in recent years (maybe even before that, I can't be bothered to look it up). Maybe some of the Porsche's that run in 2015 will be in GT7? Either way, I hope they don't screw this one up. We MUST be able to fall off the sides, instead of invisible walls that barely even follow the track properly (*cough*Sierra*cough*). Also, I really could care less about whether or not they add gravel versions or not. If so, cool; if not, whatever.

Another little thing to note: not one, not two, but FOUR vehicles (maybe more, I don't remember) built exclusively for Pikes Peak are already in GT. I don't think they laser-scanned three (they definitely didn't scan the Escudo) vehicles like this for no reason other than to add to their already MASSIVE list of cars. I think it's probably safe to say they're adding Pikes Peak eventually.

Fantastic news! There is no way that this sponsorship will lead to anything other than full GT7 inclusion - I am certain GT6 will not see it.

This circuit can be also available on GT6. There are plenty of cars "Pikes Peak" then it isn't impossible.

We must not believe that GT6 will be dead after December. PoDi will continue to update.
They will surely less important but don't forget that there is the beginning of the FIA event.

I'm not getting excited until someone can tell me the difference between 'partnership' and 'sponsorship'. Just like the FIA deal, I think this will only affect GT7. No one cares about PS3 anymore :indiff:

Here is what I think:
No GT6 2.0
No Course Creator for GT6
No DLC for GT6
No Pikes Peak for GT6
Everything will be delayed for GT7
GT7 demo for GT Academy on PS4 next spring
GT7 next year November or December
Ok cool.
No DLC for GT6? Because DLC are obligatory Paid one?
No Course Creator? A news said it's coming for GT6 (I don't know when ofc but still)
GT7 is more for 2016 than 2015
No GT6 2.0 and everything will be delayed for GT7. Are you from the future?

People will get it in the 10's easily if not 9's.

1- You will not die trying your best.
2- Invisible walls.

If it ends up in the game. Will altitude be a factor for a cars engine in the game, like real life ?
It is not my fault

For what is it then???
F1, LMP1, Nascar, Indycar,WTCC or Richard Bransons space shuttle??

I dont think so!!
Well if your view of racing classes is that narrow...

It's for hillclimb cars. Chuck any of the open class cars on a rally stage and they'd never navigate it in a million years.
