Pismronounced Car Names

I used to emphasize the A in Megane with a silent E at the end, but now I pronounce the E at the end with less emphasis on the A.

Or maybe I'm still wrong and it was Megan all along.

When I read car names that are difficult, I would just glaze over them and read past them, acknowledging they were there in the sentence, but never pronounce it. When I have to say 'em, I just kinda mumble them, and hope the other person understands...

I'm guilty of saying Jag-war. It's an ugly word compared to the softer almost "shh"-like proper way, and it took me until the Austin Powers movies to realize why Shaguar was such a low-hanging fruit.

I try to pronounce Hyundai as Hun-day, but funnily enough, my dad's repeated mispronounciation of it as I grew up - because he was a fan - means I still resort to -die.

Odd-ie is another bad habit. Again, blame parents growing up.

Oh - it's a 360 Challenge Strah-dahl for me too, I've never pronounced the hard E, even if you're supposed to.

I guess I'd say Jaguar more like "Jag-ware" were "are" sounds like the normal word.

I always thought that Impreza was spelt Imprenza.

Oddly enough, I also spelt it with an errant "n" at one point, in exactly the same way you did.

This was before I first played GT1, though. Having only read the word once before by that point, I realised my memory of it had skewed somewhat.

I used to pronounce Buick as "bwick", which although describing the way they drive rather brilliantly, is pretty far off the mark.

I also pronounce the french brands the British way, since I used to watch WRC highlight shows.
