Spin it baby, spin it.

I have no personal problem with you. I do however disagree with your general approach to clean leagues and their policies. Like I said, you're entitled to your opinion. I simply disagree, and to a finer point, think you're sometimes just plain wrong. I have no agenda but to debate what clean league sim racing should entail and how one may achieve it. I would expect you're able to discern the difference between our personal relationship and my opinion of your clean league mentality.

Why is it Lesson that you felt the need to bash me? I don't know where you get the idea I am a dirty racer. No one else is complaining, I rear ended two guys who braked way to early, I admit it was my bad and I gave the positions back. This is not the first time you have felt the need to climb up on your pedestal and chastise me on the threads which is why I take it personal. If you were a better racer than me, I might listen to your advice but you are not in any position to criticize or chastise me or anyone else. Why me? Don't like my attitude? Too bad, I am who I am and make no apologies for it. Are you even a member of this series?

By the way......Confirmed.

My gosh bro... The more you type, the more I think you do not actually read anything I write. We have a difference of opinion. That is all. The bigger difference being that you don't seem to understand the topic of our disagreement is our definitions of clean racing, rather than being a supposed self-proclaimed better driver.

Confirm,

Just did some laps with Alex and others who were hitting 152.xxx. After some tuning I was able to hot lap 148.9xx and a more constant 150.1xx - 150.4xx. As I told Alex, no drinking on race night for me, need all my concentration just to survive.
Didn't change my tune but I'm hitting 1:48s with about 60-70 liters on board. Probably can grab a 47 with low fuel and a death wish.

Guessing 49-51s during the race. Gotta be careful for this one...

What a dumb argument. We both want clean racing, I don't know where I ever said I didn't. It's the way you presented your beef about me on the forum that ticked me off. See you Wednesday?

So what is the room setting for actual day of the year? In testing last night the temp was very cold outside. Tires were almost impossible to stay above 80 deg f. Just want to make sure I test on the correct day of year for proper temps.

Edit...I see it is set to actual race date. Never mind.

I know I'm not as fast as SGETI and Joe but I like to think I can get within a second or two of them, but after trying three different tunes and a bunch of laps I just couldn't get out of the 54's. Then I'm on with Lobban and he's doing a bunch of 51's with a 50.5 thrown in. Now I'm getting frustrated, just don't get what's going on with my driving the last few weeks. I use cockpit view exclusively for the realism, but in the hard rain, and in this car, it is very tough to get the corner entry judged right because the visibility is so bad. Last night I only had about 45 minutes to spare so I jumped on and tried roof view right from the start. After getting used to the view and realizing how much better I could see, I was able to judge my braking and corner entry so much better, and poof, a 51.3 followed by a few more high 51's. Well then, I guess that tells me what view I should race in tonight! It is so different after all this time in cockpit view but I will try my hardest to keep to my lines when battling with others. If I seem to do something unlike my usual driving then you will understand why, lol.
Looking forward to the tricky evening ahead.

I couldn't get on last night for my typical pit stop strategy session so I'm winging it tonight. No idea how much fuel or how long the tire will last. Tonight is my son's practice so I won't be getting home until 8:45ish so...fun fun!

But I can tell you that 47s are definitely not in the cards for me. I tried a little more Monday night and it was not happening. Getting a perfect lap is nearly impossible because you are basically doing all you can to keep from crashing. So 48s will be my absolute best possible times...but I'm thinking 49-50s will be the normal. I'm just hoping everyone else spins (without damage) as much as I do so we're all even.

FYI. Going by 1:52 lap times that puts it at 24.11 laps so say 25. I was averaging 2.7 lts/lap so 67.5 total. I ran just over half a race distance last night (23:50) and used 28.1 litres so that was showing I only needed 60 for the race. I think my worst tire was at 64%.

Aero...you need to stop thinking about that calendar...

I would prefer to race in COCKpit view, but visibility sucks for me in that view, it depends on the car. If I could turn my head more it would make a difference. What I do now is start a race in outside view for the first couple of corners just for situational awareness, then switch back to roof view. My starts have been super clean now that I can see whats around me.

It was a tough racing night for sure last night. Pretty treacherous conditions - tires going cold and cars become extra slidy, everything grey and corners blending with the rest of the environment, spins, crashes etc. Having said that, I've finally figured out strategy (pit stops), setup and mastery of track to compete best this season. I haven't had all these things figured out this season yet (til yesterday).
A great setup can go a long way. Last week at Imola I had a decently fast setup but it was too stiff, where a tiny mistake would send the car into unrecoverable spin, hence I spun 5 times in race 1 and 3 times in race 2 with no way of saving the car during the spin. Yesterday's rain setup was waaaay better, where the car allowed for spin and countersteer to save it. Again, thanks to SGETI who's setup I stole from the setup database :P
Had few good fights too last night, most notably with @Mike Lobban in race 2 who lead the way midway through the race before the pitstop and then immediately after the pitstop which made me step up my game to drive better, there was no way around you there :) Unfortunate that you had a spin in the later stages though, Mike.

I think last night was my last race in PITS for awhile. I want to type a long story about my frustrations but it doesn't matter.

Love you guys ;)

Will try and finish all of them this season!

That's too bad Joe, we love you too

Did anyone else notice how quiet it seemed last night  Oh, wait a minute, Alex wasn't there! We did miss you last night

Looking for TOPP for scoring later, please stop at report #2610. Tks
I'm sure I'll see you on the track at a different Bat time and a different Bat channel ;)

Wow that's insane. But yeah I think you saw what happened to me in race 2 maybe? Damage meter showed down to 25% left...both shocks blown and engine damage.

I was trying to win the championship knowing I couldn't race the final race. So that would be my throwaway round. But I am just done with being on the wrong side of the full damage setting. So as many have said, I know the room settings going in so I know what I'm getting into.

Well I'm kinda done getting into it.

Thanks for the pat on the back Vlad, it was fun leading for a while, but, one spin and damage screwed my second race. First race, I put on slicks in my pit stop. Screwed that race too. No complaints though, the issues were all of my own making, I wish I could blame someone else.

So, we are going to have a permanent stewart for the league, my buddy Lesson. Hey pal, no offence to the rants earlier, I love you man, I love your family. You are the best controller racer I know, very good looking in a manly type way and you fart pine scented potpourri. What I hate doing is ass kissing, so I won't bother. Wouldnt you rather be racing though?
