N155AN, you said you got loads of play time on GT5? how come? limited people there?

I ask because I'm there tomorrow, between 12pm - 4pm, and I'd love as much time on it as possible.

I attended last night, and although the demo wasnt the e3 version it was still really nice, the physics seemed similar to the gt acadamey version however on purpose i did try to take two wheels of the track to see if the car just spun like it does it prologue, however i'm pleased to say this wasnt the case. I played it in 3d aswell and although it is good at first, i dont think its as nice as 2d version which i found alot more crisper, for example the speedo became blurry on the 3d version where as on the 2d 1080p one it was clearly readable.

luckily as you can see from the front page I was one of the only GTplanet users visiting on the friday, which meant i managed to get loads of game time lol i was glued in the driving pod.

damage was also a great addition, and the sls sounded amazing!

just to add, the scenery on some of the tracks such as rome was really nice and the sense of speed on nurburgring seems improved.

cant wait for the 2nd of Nov now :@
What Demo was it?

I might have seen you, everytime I went to the pods I saw the same guy there on it XD. It was about 10 to 10 and was you the one in the rear pod out of the 2 trying to keep getting faster laps?

Feel free to post your vids here...

Heres some of mine (apologies about the quality and sound!!!)

Sorry if these are rubbish , thought they might be of use to someone :)

Third video shows sparks off of the rally car when it hits the invisible barrier when there is not even a visual barrier there.

Thanks for the vids!

There's some pretty bad glitching going on on Video034 (the last one). Seems that some of the geometry hasn't loaded properly the first time around. Odd indeed. I'm sure it'll be fixed, guess I'm just used to seeing it in a polished state.

Damn the bronze Citroen GT in the last vid looks nice - sweet colour

That bumper cam really needs to be changed to a proper bonnet cam so that the smoke you see makes sense

Gallardo seems tail happy under heavy braking

I got lots of playtime (at least half an hour race time) because everytime i finished the race i popped my head around the racing pod, and luckily there wasnt a line (probably due to the fact not many gtp members were there. lol i hardly played anything else, but make sure you try the fight move edition, thats amazing!

I doubt that was me, as i had to leave at 8.30 to catch the train back, but were you as amazed by the graphics on the gallardo as I was? breathtaking.

just to clarify it was a 10 car demo with 5 tracks to choose from

cars I remember : SLS, Stingray, Enzo, GTR V Spec, Gallardo, R8, Citreon Rally, Citreon GT,

tracks i remember : Rome, Tokyo r246, Nurburgring, toscana , and i forgot how to spell but a street circuit beginning with C lol

Guys was KZ3 one of the games not meant to be filmed?
If so maybe best to remove it as their are much better detailed videos available in HD showing that level of the game from E3 or on popular websites.

The organisers said if videos shown of games not meant to be filmed were released it would harm such events happening again in the future.
Scare tactics perhaps but shouldnt people at least respect what was asked and they were instructed not to do?

Yes I was TBH. they was quite a piece of art. I was like

Lots of HD videos and high-res photos taken by yours truly, have been sent to Jordan, hoping to get a couple on the front page. Tried my best to get shots of damage etc. Another GTPlanet reader/forum member was my driver for all of the footage ;) seems both of us missed this thread before the event, as neither of our names are down as being there on the Friday. Hoping to get some beauties online soon for you all to feast your eyes on.

Nice, can't wait! 👍

Do you mean VEXD and Venari? I would have thought the best maan might have tried to go ;)

langy72: Are you going to post your vids and pics here?

I might do later in the week, they're in Jordan's hands for the mo, wanna see what he makes of them first and wait and see if they're good enough for the front page! Any that don't make it, I'll whack in this thread. Bare in mind that each ~2min video is around 140mb though as they're HD, so take an age to upload to YouTube etc. Isn't an easy task!

I'd have gone, but I'd not have got back before Monday and my wife would have murdered me to death.

Went to the event today. Game was awesome as usual. Tried all the circuits, loved the new physics system. The rally stage was better than I expected, looked georgeus and handles very well surprisingly. Managed to get replay footage of the rally stage and some footage of an Audi R8 damaged. My battery on my camera died as I unfortunatly forgot to charge it so I didn't get any nascar footage which was the best car there as it had full deformation damage!!! I threw he car into the wall and the whole side of the car crumpled. I reversed into the wall and the rear bumper not only hung off but it deformed completley. It was awesome to see damage which I personally have never seen in a GT game. Hopefully someone recorded some nascar damage footage.

sparks from the invisible wall... :(

Small detail that doesn't take half a day to fix, and even if they are still in the full version ...who cares?
Maybe the sparks are there too to show you that you made a collision.

I'm bothered about it.Would add tension to the game, if you are barrelling along at 90 mph a metre from 40ft tall trees. In an Evo or Scooby STI rally car i mean.

Because then you wouldn't have a view with no obstructions.

So why use interior view then? :)

That bonnet cam is there for replays, but for some unknown reason, they never had it as a choice for driving in! Just about every driving game has it...why PD?

Having the bonnet there does add immersion. Halfway between the interior view and nothing, as far as identifying with what car your driving, and giving you perspective on the car's dimensions and attitude

I don't.

It's does seem odd how it can't be used for the race.
