EU home was pretty fun today.

Got the echochrome suits out with Sven1972BE and went round, got some people thinking that we were Sony Police.

Had laughs at rejects who wanted back at crib, weirdos lol

Then went to JPN home and wow, no fair more maps and stuff...

I just managed to get online after a fair amount of trying, got to the town center thing, went to go back to my apartment and it froze.

Brilliant.

Took me 30mins to log in... it was worth it kinda.

Doing a youtube video I think lol, get some people to dance around.

Havent seen any proper GTP only my friend ones...

I can't access Home at all, keep getting errors.

Well done, Sony.

Current Version of Home = B-E-T-A

If you are unclear what Beta means in terms of software, click here.

If it still bothers you maybe you should wait for it to be officially released...
💡

or for that matter, wait a while after that to avoid any hic-ups that happen with a major new program and of this size and scope.

Was dancing with Hitler today......It was actually pretty hilarious how this guy made his avatar look nearly identical to Hitler. Plus the fact that he was busting out some sick moves. Wish I got a picture of it.

I've played plenty of pool but have yet to get in on the bowling. :(

It'd be nice if they had some kind of "take a number" thing for activities. Not really that big a deal, though.

hopefully you will end up with me.
If you don't see each other, thus on diferent servers, and if you are on each other's PSN friend's list then simply invite. If not, all you have to do is send him an Add-Me request. You can do that while in Home by pressing the PS button, thus accessing the in-game XMB.

Once he accepts and is in Home, send him an invite, which you can check in either the XMB in your friends list, or within Home using the Home PDA. 👍

No need to be so condescending, I know what a beta is. I just think that with a bit of thought Sony could have avoided these errors.

Anyway back on topic, has anyone else done what I did and filled their apartment with a stack of sofas?

May take a while... getting lots of the usual c-931 error

Oooh.. just got a 603 server does not exist.

I'll keep trying though

I sorta made a bed, but it sorta turned out looking more like a baby crib haha.

They're all gone now, it's all tidy and looks like a proper apartment. Except without a bed.

It seems to me, with a certain amount of error like most graphs have, that you could chart those "happy with Home (bugs and all)" and "not happy with home (it should work perfectly right out of the gate)" and it would closely resemble a second chart graphing said pollsters ages.

Just a thought.

But that is exatly the nature of a Beta... knowing there will most likely be errors, hus the need to test the servers and the service out under both normal and abnormal conditions to see what is causing the errors and come up with a solution.

My appologies if I sounded condescending, but seeing people expect a trouble free run in a beta program and complain, not even to the source, but to fellow users, over issues that are quite common among beta programs, and who don't bother to check past posts to see explanations of this - well to me that's far more annoying than someone who responds in a condesending way.

Look, we are all in the same boat, again, if it really bothers you there is no need to complain, simply don't use it. It's not like it is preventing you from doing anything you were doing before the open beta came out, right?

Good point. I suspect the younger you are the less patient, and more demanding you might be.

My mum won't let me fill her house with sofas. :(
Now I've got it working it's very good actually, not come across any bugs so far. There's something strangely calming about sitting by the little stream and watching the world go by....

Are you serious? Its okay to you to wait to play on a virtual pool table or bowling lane. After I got in there, I thought well now I have something to do, but then realized that I can't play because its "occupied". I can't even imagine how much the guy gets paid that said " Its just fine to let the virtual guys and gals wait for their turn in the virtual world of Home, the fan boys will say it more realistic." So far for me the Home Beta is almost pointless, except for the joining clubs, go GTP.

I was impressed with the character customization....... ah that's it. Well maybe the full version will be useful somehow, maybe I become to spoiled by XBL.:yuck:

Its best when you play with other guys. It gets really fun when you do a "dancing man train" or something like that.

I have just been enjoying a few peaceful chess games in the EU plaza, then I went off for a bit of a dance, I am not kidding when I say there was a train of 20 or so people doing the running man dance to 'whole world in his hands' or whatever its called :P

Lol, that is the only place we can dance to some form of music.

Yeah but you see, sony PROMISED to have us all home by christmas, if this was fixed then we wouldn't be home untill next year. Also, with the minority of people testing, the servers didn't experience exploding state, therefore, how is sony to know that these errors would pop up. Being grateful instead of whining will make sony a bit more relaxed and get the job done more smoothly.

I agree, 3 or 4 people in a circle, nice little chat, the most calming thing I've ever experienced.

another night another cool time @ home. i really have no idea why so many people are taking a dump on Home. Every time i get on i seem to add more people to my friend list. Last time on i had a cool conversation with a dude about turbo-powered cars, formula 1, and the ever lasting quiestion of which car is better the EVo or the STi. There are always going to be drawbacks from a fledgling service, but i truly believe that Home will only get better with time. How many times have you gone into an online game only to have morons yapping away about whose mother is fatter and how much more homosexual other people are instead of playing the game? in Home it's very possible to find and socialize with people who are cool and actually can have a conversation without relying on cursing each other out. I think home is great and the sooner a Gran turismo room is made the happier i will be :) take care guys and happy holidays :)

Thanks a lot:grumpy: ... Now I had to go make myself a hitler and dance the "rock" with the echo suit on as im not paying for the military style clothes.

I second that nomination!

Home needs a Mod of War!

PS: I tried to find that great photoshop job someone did from the following pic that became his Mod of War avatar:

Unfortunately I couldn't find it... :odd:

I got a copy from Omnis...
